Diego Centeno, he is a member of the small team of three people who organise the Dubai CrossFit Championship. We talk about how he went from Venezuela to the States to finally the United Arab Emirates. This episode is about the new Madrid CrossFit Challenger Series which has just been launched. I talk to Victor Casanovas who is one of the organisers of the competition. With a 70 grand prize pot this competition is attracting some attention from top level athletes and is looking to establish itself as part of the annual CrossFit "Off season" calendar. We met Julie Rappaport at the Masters Fitness Collective Championship where she was dominating her 45-49 Division through Day 3. We learn more about Julie's athletic past in CA as a D1 Soccer player, and follow her personal and athletic journey through Team and Individual performances at the CrossFit Games. Julie also tells us a great story about how she casually won a National Championship in the Clean & Jerk. Julie was in 6th place after the Age Group Online Qualifier heading into the CrossFit Games this year when COVID hit and Masters and Teens were cut from the Games. Her appearance at the MFC Championship was to be her "Games" for 2020. You'll hear how everything turned out and what's next for this ageless dynamo!!!
