Kayla Compton stars as Allegra Garcia in The CW's hit series “The Flash.” Allegra is an up-and-coming journalist who fell in with a bad crowd and was incarcerated at a young age. But since her release, she's helped Barry Allen as a member of Team Flash, thanks to her metahuman ability to manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum. Compton joined the show in Season 6. The show is winding down with its final episodes. Compton will make her TV directorial debut with the 11th episode of Season 9, set to air on May 10, 2023, two weeks before the series finale. On her most recent hiatus, Compton wrote, directed, and starred in her first short film, In Training. The short also stars Danielle Nicolet and Brandon McKnight. Leslie Grace's Batgirl movie is cancelled for theaters AND HBO Max!

The Flash is now the longest-running active show in the superhero genre. Chester P. Runk joined the show as a guest star in Season 6 and then became a series regular in Seasons 7 & 8, played by Brandon McKnight. Recently renewed for Season 9, McKnight joined the podcast to talk about his run on The Flash. In this episode, McKnight explained that he had auditioned for all of the CW Arrowverse shows, but that the Flash was his favorite. When he was hired, he read all of the comics featuring Chester. In the comics, Chester was a heavyset character named Chunk, and McKnight explained how the similarities are in name only. He explained that Chester's character is similar to the comics in name only and that the name is an homage to the source material. He also spoke about the titular star, Grant Gustin, and the idea of the long run of the series. McKnight is also an avid gamer and recently started a Twitch channel. Danielle Panabaker began playing Caitlin Frost in 2014 when she guest-starred on Arrow. Since then, she is one of the original cast members of the hit CW TV show, The Flash. The Flash stands out for remaining one of The CW's most-watched series. Caitlin works at STAR Labs and then became part of Team Flash. Panabaker has been acting for nearly 20 years. In this episode, she talked about the complicated shoots playing two characters in the same scene while disguising her second pregnancy.
