For nearly 15 years, I've looked up to Jenelle Summers as one of the most trusted voices in health, fitness, and wellness. So when even she found herself struggling with the unexpected changes of midlife—low energy, shifting hormones, stubborn weight gain, cravings, and simply not feeling like herself—it got my attention. In this conversation, Jenelle shares what happened when the strategies that had worked for decades suddenly stopped working, how she navigated perimenopause and hormone changes, and what she believes women need to know if they want to feel strong, energized, and confident in this season of life. This isn't another conversation about trying harder. It's about learning to work with your body instead of fighting it. In this episode, we talk about: • What perimenopause can actually feel like—especially when you've always been motivated and healthy • Why HRT/BHRT was a game changer for Jenelle, and why getting the right labs matters • How hormones, thyroid health, sleep, energy, cravings, and motivation are all connected • Why midlife nutrition may need to shift toward protein, fiber, gut health, and lower-glycemic foods • The truth about added sugar and why it may be affecting your cravings, mood, and energy • Why restriction is not the answer—especially for women with a history of dieting • How Jenelle approaches fitness now, including strength training, walking, and interval training • Why social media advice can be helpful, but your body still needs an individualized approach • The most important reminder: prioritize your health, happiness, confidence, and wellbeing over chasing a certain aesthetic If you've been doing all the things and still wondering why you don't feel like yourself anymore, this conversation will leave you feeling informed, empowered, and hopeful. Because midlife isn't the beginning of your decline. It may just be the beginning of a completely different approach. Witness Weekly | WW001 | Kickoff Episode!0:00 Intro0:15 Mario Andrew – News6:26 Discussion of the Week21:05 James St Simon – Book & Film Recommendations / Review26:28 Michael – Redlines (Philosophy & Politics)30:25 Jeremy Jeremiah – Viewer Comments & Questions“Smells and bells” vs “bare walls” misses the point. We debate beauty, Scripture, continuity, and why people say they met God at the Divine Liturgy.A bishop detained under murky circumstances. A fresh call for Orthodox unity a decade after the Council of Crete. A study that claims part of a papal encyclical reads like it was AI assisted. We kick off the first Witness Weekly by moving fast through the headlines, then slowing down where it matters: what these moments reveal about religious freedom, public pressure on clergy, and the real stakes for Christians trying to live faithfully in a tense political climate. We launch Witness Weekly with Orthodox news, a deep dive on why evangelicals convert to Orthodoxy, and a candid look at how rhetoric and assumptions can flatten real theological differences. We close with Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov, a challenge to political fixes for evil, and listener questions on worship music, conversion, and parish life.• Metropolitan Hilarion's detention in Lithuania and why prayer for clergy matters• Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew's renewed call for Orthodox unity and what changed since Crete• A study suggesting AI assisted writing in a papal encyclical and where the line might be• Archbishop Elpidophoros' hospitalization and continued prayers for his recovery• Common conversion motives and why “aesthetics only” is an unfair summary• Purgatory as a Roman Catholic doctrine and why Orthodoxy gets mislabeled• Institutional continuity versus doctrinal continuity and how Reformers argued their case• The catechumen process as evidence that conversion is usually slow and deliberate• Book of the week The Brothers Karamazov and why it speaks to believers and skeptics• The problem of evil, the Grand Inquisitor, and the limits of political solutions• Listener comment on worship music, tradition, standards, and Christian art• Advice for Protestants navigating hard conversations when exploring OrthodoxyPlease let us know your thoughts in the commentsFrom there, we take on a question we keep seeing everywhere: why are evangelicals converting to Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy? We challenge the lazy take that people switch churches because they got dazzled by “smells and bells” or seduced by a vague sense of history. We talk about the long, prayerful process most converts go through, the catechumen journey, and the way outsiders often lump Orthodoxy and Catholicism together, especially around doctrines like purgatory. We also dissect the rhetoric behind “continuity” claims, including how Reformers like John Calvin argued they were the true heirs of the ancient Church. We pivot into culture and formation with our book of the week, The Brothers Karamazov, and why Dostoevsky still feels uncomfortably current. We connect the problem of evil, the Grand Inquisitor's political temptation, and the hard truth that there is no ideology that can substitute for personal responsibility and repentance. Finally, we respond to listener comments on worship music, tradition, and standards, and we offer practical advice for Protestants navigating difficult conversations while exploring Orthodoxy. Can worship music be “frozen in time” and still alive? We respond to a tough listener critique, talk standards, lyrics, and the difference between church worship and Christian art. Roei Samuel built his first company at 21. Real Sport was a content creation toolkit for the sports industry — working with the Premier League, NBA and NFL — before being acquired by Gfinity in 2018. Then came the identity crisis. The "who am I now?" moment that every founder dreads. What followed was Connected: a fractional talent marketplace that has grown from zero to 7,000 customers in just over four years, raised $20 million, and is now operating across five global cities. In this episode of Screw It Just DO It, Roei breaks down the exact moment AI became Connected's biggest growth driver — and why it wasn't just productivity that changed, but the entire labour market. He shares why he spoke to 100 people before building anything, how he's generated 7–8 figures from LinkedIn without spending a penny, and why product is no longer the moat for modern founders.Key Takeaways• Why AI is driving both productivity gains and mass corporate layoffs — and how Connected benefits from both• How to validate a startup idea by speaking to 100 people before building• Why distribution and attention now matter more than product• The identity crisis every founder faces after an exit• How weekly therapy has made Roei a better CEO

This episode almost didn't happen. Not because there wasn't something to say - but because I caught myself doing the very thing I've spent years helping women stop doing: performing instead of living.A five-hour drive home from Maine turned into a much bigger wake-up call about agency, perception, and the quiet ways we abandon our own needs. This conversation is raw, real-time reflection - the kind that happens when you notice your own patterns and decide you're done with them.Because before renewal comes something else: shedding. And sometimes the thing we need to shed most is the pressure we put on ourselves. How many times have you said to yourself “I'll just do it?” It sounds harmless. Responsible, even. But over time, those small moments of self-abandonment add up - and they quietly pull you away from the life you say you want to live.If you're entering a new season of your life…What are you no longer willing to do?What habits, obligations, or patterns are you carrying simply because you always have?Because the life you want to create - the one where you truly thrive - requires space. And sometimes the most powerful move you can make is simply stopping something that no longer serves you.A gentle reminder for you, Thrivesters…Thriving means:• Living in full alignment with your values• Setting boundaries that protect your energy• Honoring your truth without apology• Creating rituals that sustain you• Knowing exactly what you need to live your best lifeAnd sometimes the hardest boundaries to set are the ones we set with ourselves. Now go thrive like you mean it.
B is on vacation, so this week we have Tracy on the podcast joining Amanda. Charleston's lost boys continue to be messy. Climate Crisis and Capitalism are at the heart of David Suzuki's powerful message in this episode. In a candid and impassioned reflection, Suzuki warns that if we continue to prioritize politics and the economy over protecting the environment, we may as well give up on climate action. He challenges the cultural obsession with perpetual economic growth, critiques the short-sightedness of political cycles, and urges a fundamental shift in our collective priorities. David Suzuki's call for transformation is both urgent and inspiring. He advocates for placing the environment at the center of all decision-making, recognizing that our survival depends on living within ecological limits. Drawing on decades of experience as a scientist, broadcaster, and environmental activist, Suzuki encourages individuals to embrace systems thinking, reevaluate their relationship with nature, and demand more from leaders who treat the planet as expendable. This is a wake-up call that goes beyond environmentalism—it's a call for a radical reimagining of our future. In the final Sunday of our reThink Everything sermon series, culminating on Palm Sunday, we explore how repentance is ultimately a trajectory toward forgiveness. Daniel takes us on a journey through the story of Joseph in Genesis, witnessing how God can transform even the deepest betrayals into opportunities for growth and redemption. Joseph's tale reminds us that forgiveness isn't just about letting go of anger, but about recognizing God's sovereign plan in our lives. As we reflect on Joseph's words, 'What you intended for evil, God intended for good,' we're challenged to see our own hurts through a divine lens. This message encourages us to break free from the chains of resentment and embrace the liberating power of forgiveness. It's a call to trust in God's bigger picture, even when we can't understand the 'why' behind our pain. As we approach Holy Week, let's consider how we can embody Christ-like forgiveness in our own lives, remembering Jesus' words on the cross, 'Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.'

In this 5th week in reThinking Everything series, we're challenged to examine what's truly shaping our hearts and minds. Drawing from Colossians 3, we're reminded that transformation in Christ is not just about surface-level changes, but about becoming an entirely new person. The analogy of a secret apartment in a mall vividly illustrates how easily we can let harmful thoughts and habits take up residence in our lives without even realizing it. We're called to 'strip off the old self' and 'clothe ourselves with the new self,' a process that involves both 'digging down' to identify our idols and 'looking up' to set our minds on Christ. This message encourages us to consider: What have we allowed to move into our souls? Are we being transformed by Christ, or unintentionally shaped by the world around us? It's a call to intentional spiritual growth and a reminder that in Christ, we have the power to become the people we were truly meant to be.
Welcome to The Mark Casto Program—a brand new season of life, faith, and entrepreneurship. In this first episode, I'm not talking business. I'm going straight to the foundation of my life: the gospel. What if we inherited an incomplete version of Christianity? What if Jesus didn't just die to forgive sins but to defeat sin, death, and Satan himself? In this episode, I unpack: Why the gospel is more than a legal exchange. What the early church actually believed about the cross. Why you can stop living like a victim and start living in victory. How this gospel truth transformed my life, ministry, and business journey. If you're ready to rethink the gospel and rediscover the victorious Jesus of Scripture—this episode is for you.
This week, we are challenged to rethink our perception of Jesus and His kingdom as we delve into Matthew 16:21-26, where Peter misunderstands Jesus' mission. We're reminded that even when we think we have Jesus figured out, we might be missing crucial aspects of His message. The cross, often seen as a symbol of comfort, is reframed as a call to radical self-denial and sacrificial love. We're invited to consider where we might be putting ourselves in front of Jesus, inadvertently becoming stumbling blocks to His work. The message encourages us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus - not as acts of self-hatred, but as pathways to discovering our true selves. This teaching pushes us to examine our lives and ask: Where do we need to decentralize ourselves and let Jesus be Lord?
This week, we continue our sermon series on Metanoia confronting the pervasive problem of pride in our lives and culture. Drawing from Philippians 2:1-11, we're presented with a radical alternative: Christ-like humility. The passage reveals how our deep-seated insecurity often masquerades as pride, driving us to constantly prove our worth. But true humility, we learn, isn't thinking less of ourselves—it's thinking of ourselves less. Jesus' example of washing His disciples' feet shows us that genuine humility stems from a secure identity in God's love. This teaching invites us to rethink everything, urging us to turn away from self-absorption and towards the interests of others. It's a call to let the transformative power of Christ's sacrificial love melt our hearts and reshape our interactions with the world around us.
reTHINK Everything | The Transformation of the Whole Person - Heart, Mind, Will - Ezekiel 11:16-21 - Tom Parker by Midtown Presbyterian Church
Scientists sound alarm over troubling phenomena forcing them to 'rethink' everything 'Predictability has become more challenging'The Cool Down, By Chelsea Cook, on February 14, 2025https://www.thecooldown.com/green-tech/unpredictable-climate-patterns-shift/ In the face of increasingly unpredictable weather patterns and rising climate change risks, scientists are sounding the alarm over how outdated models are failing to provide accurate forecasts for extreme weather events. Researchers are struggling to adjust their climate models in the face of shifting ocean currents, unprecedented flooding, and the overall volatility of weather. These challenges are making it difficult to prepare for natural disasters that are disproportionately affecting vulnerable communities.Despite the urgency for enhanced research and preparedness, political pressures and budget cuts are undermining the very institutions needed to address these growing climate risks. Powerful corporations have consistently ignored or downplayed the significance of climate change, focusing on short-term profits rather than long-term solutions. This has led to a precarious situation where climate uncertainty looms large, and scientific institutions, underfunded and under attack, are struggling to guide us toward meaningful solutions. As one speaker highlights, "The chickens are coming home to roost," echoing a sentiment that the consequences of our current inaction will soon become unavoidable. As these extreme weather events become more frequent and severe, it's essential for policymakers to prioritize research and funding to better understand and mitigate the effects of climate change. However, this is increasingly difficult in a political climate where corporate interests are driving decisions, and scientific efforts are being hindered. In response to this urgent situation, there is a call for increased public involvement, from supporting climate-friendly policies to reducing individual carbon footprints through lifestyle changes. Yet, as discussed, the real key lies in corporate responsibility and the government's role in funding and protecting climate research. Until these larger systemic changes occur, the battle against climate change will remain a monumental challenge. The Non-Prophets, Episode 24.9.4 featuring Cynthia McDonald, Infidel64, Aaron Jensen and AJBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-non-prophets--3254964/support.
This Ash Wednesday, we begin the season of Lent with an invitation to rethink everything we thought we knew about God, ourselves, and the world, as we explore the transformational meaning of repentance. The story of Saul's conversion in Acts 9 serves as a compelling illustration of how crisis moments can lead to profound transformation. We're challenged to see our own crises not as obstacles, but as opportunities for growth and change. The message emphasizes three key elements of transformation: confrontation, darkness, and conversion. By embracing these elements, we open ourselves to God's work in our lives, allowing Him to reshape our understanding and redirect our paths. This teaching encourages us to be honest about our struggles, to let go of our certainties, and to trust in God's ability to transform even the most unlikely candidates for His kingdom.
On this first Sunday of Lent, Luke Parker helps us dive into the message of Luke 5:27-32, challenging us to rethink our understanding of repentance and God's grace. The story of Jesus calling Levi, a despised tax collector, reminds us that Christ came for the sick, not the righteous. We're confronted with the uncomfortable truth that it's often the 'good' people who struggle most to accept God's radical love. This message invites us to examine our own hearts: Are we clinging to our righteousness, or are we willing to admit our brokenness and need for Jesus? The parallels drawn between ancient tax collectors and our modern tendency to label and judge others are particularly convicting. As we reflect on this, we're encouraged to see people as Jesus does - not through societal labels, but as individuals in need of God's transformative love. This teaching urges us to embrace true repentance, not as a prerequisite for God's grace, but as our response to His already-offered love.

Beloved the whole gospel could be summed up in this point: to tear filled angry young lady and to you and me - its time to rethink everything. Jesus was manifest to reveal that the living God looks at us, and says to us what he said to Jesus on that day. ‘You are my son/daughter, the one I love and in you I take great pleasure. He sees us, not as we are in our broken places, but as we are in Jesus Christ ( I never knew you is about how God knows you) and that is Good News.'
Have you ever thought about what it feels like to be the client instead of the photographer? On this week's Joycast, I'm pulling back the curtain on a personal experience: my daughter's wedding. For once, I wasn't the one behind the lens, and let me tell you… It gave me a whole new perspective on what we do as photographers. Here's a sneak peek: The whirlwind of planning a budget-friendly wedding in six months (Did I mention it was during hurricane season?!) What it was like to let go of my camera and savor every moment of the big day as a mom. The emotions of seeing the final photos and video (and how they became the most priceless part of the entire event!) Plus: A fresh perspective on what it's like on the client's side of photography. The truth about digital files and why printed albums and artwork become lifelong treasures. What this experience taught me about the emotional journey our clients go through when they invest in photography. This week's episode is a reminder of why what we do as photographers is so much bigger than just “taking pictures.” Photography is about love, legacy, and creating something people will treasure forever. Elliott had awake brain surgery and then had to go through radiation. With the help from his friends and his GoFundMe, Elliott went all in on his recovery: reorienting his diet, and quitting his job. Now, years later, his MRI looks great - the scan is stable and there's no sign of anything to worry about. He continues to do a low-carb, zero-sugar, no alcohol diet and goes to the gym multiple times per week. He's ramping up work again as a visual artist with brands in the lifestyle and travel spaces (products, hotels, tourism boards, agencies). In this episode of "Real Estate Unscripted," host Marjorie Adam welcomed Kyle Draper, a video marketing therapist and author of the "Rethink Everything" series, to discuss the significance of utilizing video in real estate marketing. Draper emphasized the pervasive fear that holds many professionals back from engaging with video, likening it to looking into a "scary mirror" that reveals vulnerabilities. This fear stems from deeper emotional issues related to self-perception and the anxiety of judgment, aspects that are all too real in today's digital landscape. Draper outlined a practical approach for overcoming these fears, emphasizing practice before posting. He suggested a 30-day challenge where individuals send video responses to a partner, thus building confidence without the pressure of public view. He stressed the importance of identifying target audience segments and crafting content that answers frequently asked questions—pointing out that many in the industry tend to focus on superficial metrics like follower counts instead of meaningful engagement. One significant quote from Draper was, “If you're awesome in real life but look like you suck on the internet, you suck in real life.” This underscores the necessity for professionals to maintain an effective online presence that reflects their expertise. The dialogue also highlighted the disconnect within social media usage in the real estate community. Draper pointed out that many realtors default to a repetitive posting cycle—like showcasing a new listing—without adding value, thereby diluting their brand imagery. As we move into an increasingly digital world, the lessons from this discussion resonate profoundly. The ability to connect authentically through video content is not just a marketing strategy; it is crucial for professionals looking to build sustainable, trust-based relationships in their industries. As the real estate market evolves, embracing these new communication tools may become vital to professional success.
