YUH 168 brings us the return of Anne Montgomery. Anne has written the story of Sgt. Bud Richardville, a World War 2 veteran who saw action from the beaches of Normandy through the brutal fighting in the Ardennes Forest during the Battle of the Bulge as part of a graves unit. Anne's book, "Your Forgotten Sons", is curently available for pre-order and will be released in June 6th of this year. While she had to fill in the gaps in Bud's story, Anne used the timeline from letters to home provided her to piece together his remarkable story of tragedy on many fronts. #worldwar2 #thirdarmy #battleofthebulge #dday #whiskeylullaby #bandofbrothers YUH Theme by David T and Mojo 3 https://www.amazon.com/Insanity-Sobriety-Blues-David-Mojo3/dp/B091N8BJNB Pre-order Your Forgotten Sons on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Your-Forgotten-Sons-Anne-Montgomery/dp/4824190231 Anne Montgomery on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Anne-Montgomery/e/B00JOEIL4A%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_share Anne Montgomery on Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/14081564.Anne_Montgomery Anne Montgomery Official: https://annemontgomerywriter.com Anne Montgomery on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/anne.b.montgomery Anne Montgomery on Twitter: https://twitter.com/amontgomery8 Anne Montgomery on Instagram: https://instagram.com/annemontgomeryauthor Yeah Uh Huh Social Stuff: Yeah Uh Huh on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@yeahuhhuhpod Yeah Uh Huh on Facebook https://facebook.com/YeahUhHuhPod Yeah Uh Huh on Twitter https://twitter.com/YeahUhHuhPod Yeah Uh Huh on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/7pS9l716ljEQLeMMxwihoS?si=27bd15fb26ed46aa Yeah Uh Huh on Apple Podcasts https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/yeah-uh-huh/id1565097611 Website: https://yeah-uh-huh.wixsite.com/yeahuhhuhpod --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/yeah-uh-huh/message
A former TNA, NXT and WWE star, Gunner/Jaxson Ryker who was part of the pandemic releases in November 2021 is now a police officer and I'm afraid I've got some bad news!Jaxson Ryker was the former leader of a faction in NXT & WWE known as The Forgotten Sons. Everything was going well for Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler (now known as Steve Maclin in IMPACT Wrestling) and their leader Jaxson Ryker. That is until May 25th 2020.What happened on that day? George Floyd, a black man was killed by white police officer Derek Chauvin killed him by kneeling on Floyd's neck and back for over nine minutes while Floyd was face down saying, "I can't breath."The Tweet that landed Jaxson Ryker in trouble with WWEIn June, riots and protests would occur all over The United States and here is where I've got some bad news... Jaxson Ryker took it upon himself amidst the protests and riots to tweets, "Thankful for the @POTUS we have! God bless America. Built of freedom. Forgotten No More— Jaxson Ryker (@JaxsonRykerWWE) June 1, 2020"Many wrestling stars, including his own tag team partner would Tweet out against what Ryker said. This would leave the group being removed from television and slowly released with Ryker being let go from WWE November 2021 along with seven other stars that particular day.He also talks what he was told in WWE after he had tweeted the tweet and they sent him and his teammates home.Homophobic TweetsFollowing his release, Ryker would take to social media in May 2022 tweeting, CwLail_Gunner@CWLail_GunnerRise up! Rise up against abortion, against homosexuality, against gender agenda, against that which Goes against the Word. Share love in doing so. We all have faced times in sin where a brother or sister showed us Jesus and his love. Church we must love and speak truthControversy with CM PunkNot shortly after, Jaxon Ryker/Gunner aka real name Chad Lail would rant about CM Punk wearing an abortion rights is human rights shirt on AEW television.CwLail_Gunner@CWLail_GunnerHow is wearing an “Abortion rights are human rights” shirt on live tv stand for Human rights? Aborting a baby is taking away that living breathing child's rights. Truly sad. That baby has rights. It's a human. Jesus change hearts. Jesus we need youDefending his Tweets & ActionsWhile appearing on podcasts, Lail would discuss the tweet that got him in trouble in 2020 and talk how he was not sorry for it, and cannot see why the tweet was an issue, but admitted it led to the downfall of The Forgotten Sons in WWE which had a lot of momentum at the time. Lail also stated things he wished co-workers would have come to talk to him instead of publicly attack him on Twitter which in his eyes is why the Tweet got the attention that it did.On August 28th, 2023, Ryker/Gunner retires from professional wrestling and on September 14th, 2023 he is sworn in as a police officer for Iredell County Sheriffs Department in North Carolina.Long story short, if you read between the lines of his tweets, Chad Lail is someone who should not be a cop. The job is to protect and serve, based off his social media, that doesn't seem possible.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/perchedonthetoprope/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Marillion never got the memo that by 1983 you weren't supposed to do progressive rock the way Genesis, Yes, Camel and others did in the 1970s. Despite their debut coming during the New Wave era of MTV, Marillion established a style and sound that have sustained them for over 40 years even if it wasn't in vogue at the time. The knock on them in the US is that they sounded too much like Peter Gabriel era Genesis and the lyrics & vocals of lead singer Fish definitely resemble those of the 2 time Rock n Roll Hall of Famer. But the sound of Marillion is rich, in depth, dense and melodic with some brilliant musicianship. Steve Rothery is an incredible guitarist who share the mid-range space very well with the equally brilliant Mark Kelly on keyboards. Pete Trewavas holds it all down with his bass and Mick Pointer keeps the beat on the drums to crank out some prog greatness. Most every song is around the 8 minute mark so you have to listen up to hear everything that's going on. Fish delivers poignant lyrics in songs about drug addiction (He Knows You Know) and war (Forgotten Sons) while taking a jab at the aristocracy (Garden Party) and having a bit of fun in the videos. To help us better understand these UK artist is another UK artist, Jimmy Maddon. Jimmy combines straight ahead rock with prog and glam sensibilities and he's starting to make some headway here in the US. We asked him to help us uncover what makes Marillion so great, what makes their music English and why they haven't found the same kind of success in the US. ++++++++++Song-Tipps zur Folge++++++++++ "Market Square Heroes", "Grendel", "Skript For a Jester's Tear", "He Knows You Know", "Graden Party", "Chelsea Monday", "Forgotten Sons", "Punch & Judy", "Jigsaw", "Fugazi", "Kayleigh", "Lavender", "Bitter Suite", "Heart of Lothian", "Blind Curve", "Childhoods End?"

Flipside has elements of pop punk/ rock it's a track you can really enjoy and the theme of the song is great, I think the ingredients are there for this track but I would have like to have seen the track a little tighter, a bit more power/temp behind it and them vocals just a little tighter, as I say it's a good track and the right things are there so I don't want to see like I am slamming the song let me know your thoughts. If Rosemary wins, she gets Deonna Purrazzo all to herself. Josh Alexander is still the X-Division Champion. He survived a 60-Minute Iron Man Match against TJP last night. It began on Before The Impact...and extended into the opening minutes of Impact's main show...and then it went into overtime. Alexander held a 1-0 lead...and had TJP in an ankle lock...but TJP managed to reverse it into a rollup with just seconds left on the clock to even the match and force overtime. In OT, Alexander hit Divine Intervention...and pinned TJP for the win. Fire n' Flava beat Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering to retain the Knockouts Tag Titles. Grace took the pin. Kimber Lee & Susan will get the next title shot at Against All Odds. Rich Swann was set for a match against W. Morrissey...but Morrissey attacked Swann before the match...brawled with security...and the match never happened. Willie Mack eventually ran off Morrissey. That'll be the match on next week's Impact...and they'll try again with Swann vs. Morrissey at Against All Odds. Another title match announced last night for Against All Odds: Rhyno & Deaner defending the tag titles against Crazzy Steve & Black Taurus. Jake Something beat Rohit Raju in a Tables Match. Satoshi Kojima blew through Deaner to win his Impact in-ring debut. We also got the first vignette promoting the Impact debut of Steve Maclin - the former Steve Cutler of WWE's Forgotten Sons. Impact announced last night a limited number of fans will be in attendance for the Slammiversary pay per view in Nashville on July 17th. (STINGER: New Japan) The aforementioned Kojima will appear on tonight's New Japan Strong. He'll tag with Karl Fredericks against Team Filthy's JR Kratos and Danny Limelight. A few other news bits from Japan… Kzy (kay-zee) is the winner of Dragon Gate's King Of Gate tournament. He defeated Kota Minoura (mee-NOR-ah) in the final match on Thursday. (STINGER: ROH) This weekend's Ring Of Honor TV has the first match in the Survival Of The Fittest tournament: Flamita vs. Rey Horus. Also, a Pure Rules Match between Silas Young and Josh Woods. One other ROH note from earlier this week. O'Shay Edwards has apparently joined Shane Taylor Promotions. Major League Wrestling is bringing in one of the hottest names on the U.S. independent scene - Lee Moriarty...and will debut with MLW at its show in Philadelphia on July 10th. Moriarty was one of TWO new names revealed during Round 3 of MLW's Open Draft. Aramis (air-uh-MEEZ) is also joining the league...under a multi-year deal. MLW confirmed two names returning to MLW for its summer restart: Zenshi...and Savio Vega. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, June 4. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, February 5, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. Results from Thursday's NXT UK are straight ahead in this update but first… The waiting game for WWE when it comes to live fans at its events will drag on into the second half of the year. Of course, WWE does plan to have some fans at WrestleMania. During an investors call Thursday...WWE executives said they don't expect fans in attendance at any other shows until the middle of the year, at the earliest. Also during the call, WWE's Nick Khan said he doesn't expect the upcoming shutdown of NBC Sports Network, and the migration of some of its programming to USA Network, to have any impact on Raw or NXT. WWE announced Thursday it's come to terms on the release of Steve Cutler. The former Forgotten Sons member was most recently seen alongside Wesley Blake, backing King Corbin on SmackDown. But both had been missing from Corbin's recent appearances. Cutler tweeted, “It was shocking, to say the least. But, I am excited about the future.” Cutler also indicated he'll be looking to get back in a wrestling ring when his 90-day non-compete expires. Both Royal Rumble winners - Bianca Belair and Edge are being promoted for tonight's Smackdown. Edge recently responded to critics of a “part-timer” winning the Rumble. (Edge On Part-Timer Criticism) Edge speaking with Graham Matthews for Bleacher Report. On Thursday's NXT UK...Jordan Devlin's Cruiserweight Title open challenge was answered by...Dave Mastiff - who is almost certainly NOT under 205 pounds. Devlin got the pin after a 450 splash. Nina Samuels beat Xia Brookside. Meiko Satomura makes her NXT UK debut next week. Plus, a Street Fight - The Hunt vs. Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster. (STINGER: AEW) AEW officially announced a big main event for next Wednesday's Dynamite - Kenny Omega and KENTA vs. Jon Moxley and Lance Archer...in a Falls Count Anywhere/Anything Goes match. Some new details on AEW's upcoming World Women's Championship Eliminator Tournament. The Twitter account for the joshi promotion Marvelous said matches in the Japan half of the bracket will be recorded with NO fans in attendance...and the winner of the Japan side of the bracket then traveling to the U.S. for the tournament final. Also, AEW Women's Champ Hikaru Shida tweeted Thursday that she's back in Japan for the tournament. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan announced Thursday that it will being producing a one-hour weekly series for fans in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. It'll air Thursday evenings at 5PM on The Roku Channel, starting February 11th. New Japan says the series will feature top matches and events that have yet to air outside of Japan. (STINGER: Impact) Impact Wrestling announcing a couple new matches for its No Surrender show on February 13th. One is the first-ever Triple Threat Revolver Match - to decide the #1 contender for the X-Division Title. Eight men will be involved...in what Impact describes as a revolving series of Triple Threat matches...when somebody is pinned or submitted another man enters. Impact says “When we get down to the final three, whoever scores the fall is the winner.” Also added to No Surrender - Brian Myers and Hernandez vs. Matt Cardona and Eddie Edwards. MLW announced Wednesday night that next week's Fusion will see its Middleweight Champ Lio Rush vs. AAA Cruiserweight Champ Laredo Kid in a “Winner Takes All” title match. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor's Cheeseburger says he's starting a new chapter in his career with a new name - World Famous CB. He's in action on this weekend's ROH TV...in a Pure Rules Match against Tracy Williams. We'll also see RUSH, Dragon Lee, La Bestia del Ring and Flip Gordon vs. Brody King, PCO and the Briscoes ROH announced the re-signing of Sledge. He was first signed out of the ROH Dojo at the start of last year - but ROH has yet to broadcast one of his matches. That'll happen next week, when Sledge faces O'Shay Edwards on ROH's “Week By Week” YouTube show. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, February 5.
