During a charity live stream on Instagram, she said her “knee is doing great” and she'll be “coming back soon”. (STINGER: AEW) Chris Jericho says he's been ordered by doctors not to sing…due to unspecified medical issues that landed him in a hospital in the United Kingdom last week. His band Fozzy had to cancel tour dates in the UK. But they did hold a Fan Fest in London on Sunday with Jericho in attendance. Tonight's AEW Dark: Elevation has Tony Nese vs. Dark Order's Alex Reynolds. Plus, Santana & Ortiz vs. Mike Verna & Anthony Gangone, who will have Prince Nana in their corner. (STINGER: ROH) Jonathan Gresham is the NEW - and perhaps the last - Ring Of Honor World Champion. He beat Jay Lethal in the main event of Saturday night's Final Battle pay-per-view. Gresham was presented the original ROH World Title belt. The Briscoes beat The OGK to win the ROH Tag Titles. After the match, FTR made a surprise appearance and got into a big brawl with The Briscoes. That was not the only surprise Saturday night. After Brody King, Tony Deppen, Homicide & Rocky Romero beat HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams, Taylor Rust, Eli Isom & EC3, EC3 took the mic, went on a brief rant and then introduced Adam Scherr - the former Braun Strowman. Scherr stormed into the arena…alongside Westin Blake and Fodder. They laid waste to Isom, Dak Draper and Brian Johnson. It ended with Scherr carrying an unconscious Isom out of the arena. Rok-C beat Willow to retain the ROH Women's Championship. After the match, Impact Wrestling's Deonna Purrazzo entered to confront Rok-C. Purrazzo pitched a Winner Takes All match between her and Rok-C, in which Purrazzo would put her AAA Reina De Reinas Championship on the line…AND the Knockouts Championship she expects to win from Mickie James at Impact's Hard To Kill pay-per-view next month. Rhett Titus won the ROH Television Title, dethroning Dalton Castle. Titus pinned Silas Young to win a 4-Way that also included Joe Hendry. Josh Woods beat Brian Johnson to retain the Pure Title. Shane Taylor beat Kenny King in a Fight Without Honor. The show opened with Dragon Lee beating Rey Horus. The pay-per-view ended with a video promising that a new era will begin in April of next year. On the Hour One pre-show… The Righteous won the ROH 6-Man Tag Titles from the Soldiers Of Savagery & O'Shay Edwards. Plus, The Allure & Miranda Alize beat Chelsea Green & The Hex. The ROH Women's Championship is on the line when Rok-C defends against Willow Nightingale. This past weekend NXT held their annual WarGames event inside the Capitol Wrestling Center. Was this the last NXT pay-per-view event for Johnny Gargano and Kyle O'Reilly? It has been well publicized that Johnny Gargano did not resign with the WWE, but the rumors are also circulating that he has also not signed with AEW. With a newborn just a few months away, does Johnny take time off to be with his wife Candice LeRae? Kyle O'Reilly's contract was also up on December 10th, so will we see another member of the Undisputed Era find their way to AEW? With Winter Is Coming just on the horizon, could that be the night that we see the original UE get back together? Also announced for tonight, Santos Escobar vs. Xyon Quinn. We have a new match announced for WWE's Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1st. It'll be Edge vs. The Miz. Becky Lynch is still the RAW Women's Champion. She fought of the challenge of Liv Morgan in the main event of last night's RAW. Lynch reversed a rollup into one of her own...and then grabbed the bottom rope…to steal the pin. WWE Champion Big E won a non-title Steel Cage Match over Kevin Owens. E hit the Big Ending from the second rope and then crawled out of the door to escape the cage. Seth Rollins was around ringside during this match. And AFTER the match, Bobby Lashley showed up and beat up all three guys. Damian Priest beat Robert Roode to retain the United States Championship. The WWE Women's Tag Team Champs Queen Zelina & Carmella beat Rhea Ripley & Nikki A.S.H. Zelina pinned Nikki. A segment involving those two is being promoted for tonight's NXT. Also announced for tonight…the NXT Breakout Tournament semifinal between Trey Baxter and Odyssey Jones...plus, Ember Moon vs. Sarray. There's a new title match set for SummerSlam. Sheamus will defend the United States Championship against Damian Priest. Sheamus pinned Ricochet with a Brogue Kick in a non-title match on last night's Raw. Priest pinned John Morrison with the Reckoning for the second straight week. After the match, The Miz got out of his wheelchair to shove Priest...and then sprinted to the back. So, I guess his knee is feeling better. Randy Orton returned to Raw last night. He pinned one half of the Raw Tag Champs AJ Styles with an RKO. After the match, Orton shared a hug with Riddle...before he hit him with an RKO too. Lilly was in Alexa Bliss' corner for a match against Doudrop...and the presence of this doll really paid off. Lilly ended up on the top turnbuckle...and when Doudrop spotted it...there was a cutaway close-up shot of Lilly's face...and Lilly winked at Doudrop. Alexa took advantage of that distraction and rolled up Doudrop for the pin. A non-title match between Raw Women's Champ Nikki A.S.H. and Rhea Ripley ended with Charlotte Flair attacking both women. NXT Champion Karrion Kross submitted Jeff Hardy with his Kross Jacket chokehold to win a non-title match and avenge his loss to Hardy in his Raw debut weeks ago.. Baron Corbin showed up on Raw...but left with little more than another loss at the hands of Drew McIntyre. T-Bar pinned Mustafa Ali with Feast Your Eyes. A vignette showed Elias tossing his guitar into a fire...and declaring “Elias is dead”. (STINGER: AEW) Fans attending AEW's shows in Pittsburgh this week will be required to wear masks...regardless of whether they are vaccinated or not. An email to ticket holders laid out the University of Pittsburgh's guidelines for the Petersen Events Center, which will host Wednesday's Dynamite and the premiere episode of Rampage on Friday night. The AEW Champion Kenny Omega and the tag champs the Young Bucks will wrestle on Wednesday's Dynamite. They'll team up against the Sydal brothers and Dante Martin. Tonight's Dark is promoting at least 18 matches…including Bear Boulder's first match since last April. He'll reunite with Bear Bronson as Bear Country to take on Chaos Project. Also on tonight's Dark...Alan “5” Angels vs. QT Marshall...Private Party vs. Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta...and the Lucha Brothers vs. Cezar Bononi & JD Drake. Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss were set for a tag match on last night's Elevation - but Janela attacked Kiss during their entrance. I guess that team is done for good. There was also an upset on the show. Captain Shawn Dean pinned PRETTY Peter Avalon with a powerbomb/backstabber combo that he calls The Salute.. That's only the second singles win in AEW this year for Dean. The Lucha Brothers beat Matt & Mike Sydal in the main event. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan is taking a break from the Super Junior Tag League on its show Tuesday...but there is a NEVER 6-Man Tag Title match in the main event. Two teams remain unbeaten in the Super Junior Tag League after Monday's show. Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo beat their Bullet Club cohorts Gedo & Dick Togo...and Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask handed the first tournament loss to El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Roppongi 3K is still looking for its first win of the tournament. They were beaten by Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato. The loss eliminates Roppongi 3K from tournament contention. A day after he won Dragon Gate's Open The Brave Gate Title, SB KENTo was STRIPPED of the title. The decision came down after SB KENTo's first defense against Keisuke Okuda ended in a “no contest”. Those two will meet again for the vacant title on September 11th. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor broadcaster Quinn McKay finally got the better of Mandy Leon. She beat her on this past weekend's ROH TV to advance in the women's title tournament. In another first-round match in the tournament, Trish Adora used the Cattle Mutilation to submit Marti Belle. The main event saw ROH Champ Bandido & Rey Horus beat Brody King & Chris Dickinson. Bandido pinned Dickinson with the 21 Plex. La Faccion Ingobernable attacked Bandido after the match...and Rush took Bandido's mask. The NWA added two names to a battle royal on its Empowerrr pay per view later this month: Debbie Malenko and Bianca Carelli. Malenko was a champion in All Japan during the 90's before a knee injury effectively ended her career. Carelli is the daughter of Santino Marella. One of pro wrestling's most respected in-ring performers...has died. Bobby Eaton was a wrestler's wrestler - admired by his peers for his skill inside the squared circle...and for his kind nature away from the ring. Eaton is recognized as one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time. His run as part of the original Midnight Express is legendary. Eaton's family announced he passed away on Wednesday night. Bobby Eaton was 62. (STINGER: WWE) Another title match is set for SummerSlam. The Usos will defend the SmackDown Tag Titles against the former champs, Rey & Dominik Mysterio. On Thursday's NXT UK…A-Kid beat Jordan Devlin in a 30-minute Iron Man Match...winning two falls to one. A-Kid took the lead with a submission on Devlin with about 90 seconds left...and then held on for the victory. Also on Thursday's show, Blair Davenport beat Xia Brookside. An 8-man tournament will decide the new #1 contender for the Heritage Cup Championship currently held by Tyler Bate. That begins next week with a first round match between Mark Andrews and Noam Dar. As of Thursday night, there's essentially nothing announced for tonight's SmackDown. (STINGER: Impact) The next Impact Plus exclusive, Emergence, is now being promoted for Friday, August 20th. Impact has promised that Kenny Omega will defend the Impact World Title on that show. Two more title matches for Emergence were made official on last night's Impact. One of pro wrestling's most respected in-ring performers...has died. Bobby Eaton was a wrestler's wrestler - admired by his peers for his skill inside the squared circle...and for his kind nature away from the ring. Eaton is recognized as one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time. His run as part of the original Midnight Express is legendary. Eaton's family announced he passed away on Wednesday night. Bobby Eaton was 62. (STINGER: WWE) Another title match is set for SummerSlam. The Usos will defend the SmackDown Tag Titles against the former champs, Rey & Dominik Mysterio. On Thursday's NXT UK…A-Kid beat Jordan Devlin in a 30-minute Iron Man Match...winning two falls to one. A-Kid took the lead with a submission on Devlin with about 90 seconds left...and then held on for the victory. Also on Thursday's show, Blair Davenport beat Xia Brookside. An 8-man tournament will decide the new #1 contender for the Heritage Cup Championship currently held by Tyler Bate. That begins next week with a first round match between Mark Andrews and Noam Dar. As of Thursday night, there's essentially nothing announced for tonight's SmackDown. (STINGER: Impact) The next Impact Plus exclusive, Emergence, is now being promoted for Friday, August 20th. Impact has promised that Kenny Omega will defend the Impact World Title on that show. Two more title matches for Emergence were made official on last night's Impact. Friday night's show at Houston's Toyota Center is SOLD OUT. Around 15,000 fans are expected to be in attendance. It's the last stop before Sunday's Money In The Bank pay per view. Bianca Belair will defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Carmella. The Universal Champion Roman Reigns & The Usos will tag up against Edge and Rey & Dominik Mysterio. Plus, a 4-Way Match involving SmackDown's Money In The Bank ladder match participants: Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Big E and Seth Rollins. WWE quietly announced the 8th entrant in the women's Money In The Bank ladder match. It'll be Tamina. The NXT UK Championship match between WALTER and Ilja Dragunov being promoted for next week has been called off. WWE announced Thursday that WALTER can not compete due to a severe injury to his left hand. WWE also claimed that the injury was the result of a backstage altercation involving WALTER and Dragunov. There were TWO title matches on Thursday's NXT UK. Tyler Bate beat Joe Coffey to hold onto the Heritage Cup Championship. Bate hit a Tyler Driver 97 in the Fifth Round to secure the win. Meiko Satomura beat Amale to retain the NXT UK Women's Title. Also, Teoman & Rohan Raja beat Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter. Teoman submitted Carter. (STINGER: Impact) Thursday night's Impact Wrestling was the final stop before Slammiversary...and one match was added to Saturday night's card. Brian Myers will team with Tenille Dashwood against Matt Cardona...and a mystery female partner. Dashwood attacked Cardona as he and Jake Something were brawling with Myers and Sam Beale. Bianca Belair will defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Carmella. The Universal Champion Roman Reigns & The Usos will tag up against Edge and Rey & Dominik Mysterio. Plus, a 4-Way Match involving SmackDown's Money In The Bank ladder match participants: Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Big E and Seth Rollins. WWE quietly announced the 8th entrant in the women's Money In The Bank ladder match. It'll be Tamina. The NXT UK Championship match between WALTER and Ilja Dragunov being promoted for next week has been called off. WWE announced Thursday that WALTER can not compete due to a severe injury to his left hand. WWE also claimed that the injury was the result of a backstage altercation involving WALTER and Dragunov. There were TWO title matches on Thursday's NXT UK. Tyler Bate beat Joe Coffey to hold onto the Heritage Cup Championship. Bate hit a Tyler Driver 97 in the Fifth Round to secure the win. Meiko Satomura beat Amale to retain the NXT UK Women's Title. Also, Teoman & Rohan Raja beat Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter. Teoman submitted Carter. (STINGER: Impact) Thursday night's Impact Wrestling was the final stop before Slammiversary...and one match was added to Saturday night's card. Brian Myers will team with Tenille Dashwood against Matt Cardona...and a mystery female partner. Dashwood attacked Cardona as he and Jake Something were brawling with Myers and Sam Beale. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan on Wednesday unveiled the schedule for a new set of stadium shows. Plans for a pair of them in May were derailed by COVID-19 issues in Japan. First, the postponed Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome will now take place on July 25th. The main event will be Shingo Takagi defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Kota Ibushi. New Japan formally canceled the second postponed stadium show from May at Yokohama Stadium. Instead, New Japan is now advertising Wrestle Grand Slam shows on back-to-back days - September 4th & 5th - at MetLife Stadium in Saitama. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor also made an announcement Wednesday about some upcoming live events. It'll return to Philadelphia and the 2300 Arena - the former ECW Arena - for two Glory By Honor shows on back-to-back nights...August 20th & 21st. Both shows will be streamed live on HonorClub. On last night's Dark: Elevation...Moxley delivered a Paradigm Shift from the second rope to pin Danny Limelight. Dark Order's Alex Reynolds pinned Private Party's Isiah Kassidy with a rollup. Raw Women's Champ Rhea Ripley pinned Asuka last night in a non-title match...as Charlotte Flair looked on. Those women will be in a 3-Way for the title at Backlash. Charlotte and Asuka were also on opposite sides of a 6-Woman tag to open the show. It was brought to a screeching halt when Alexa Bliss suddenly appeared on-stage - riding her swing set...alongside Lilly. Bliss said she's keeping her eye on “someone”. The match resumed...but then, Shayna Baszler appeared to lose control of her legs. Asuka swooped in with a shining wizard to get the pin. Charlotte knocked out Asuka after the match. Alexa and Lilly chuckled as they looked on. End scene. An ugly ending to a match between Sheamus and Humberto Carrillo. Carrillo was delivering a sunset flip powerbomb from the apron to the arena floor, but Sheamus landed on Carrillo's left leg. The ref waved off the match and declared Sheamus the winner. A win for Carrillo would've earned him a shot at Sheamus' U.S. Title. The main event was a non-title match between WWE Champ Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. But Braun Strowman interfered and power slammed BOTH men as the show ended. Jinder Mahal returned to Raw with a win over Jeff Hardy. Shelton Benjamin pinned Cedric Alexander with a T-Bone Suplex. Also, the team of R-K-Bro and Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston beat AJ Styles, Omos, Elias and Jaxson Ryker. Randy Orton pinned Elias with an RKO. After the match, Orton RKO'd Woods and Kingston.
