To achieve business growth, it is important to have a sharp focus on your industry, maintain good financial health, and adopt a growth mindset. Foundational decisions based on company values and work ethics play a crucial role in ensuring the longevity of your business.   Mental fog and decision fatigue are silent and dangerous to a business focused on growth. As a vision holder, two things are paramount to success: personal vitality and strategic clarity. Without those, becoming complacent and going through the motions is easy. For growth and questioning assumptions, an intentional cadence is needed to check in to stay focused on profitable growth.   In this program, you will learn the three metrics categories to align with how you work when pivoting from or reframing a situation. That clarity comes from knowing how to correct your forecasting assumptions. Using non-financial drivers, your business growth levers, and financial awareness to be accountable — together, these will increase understanding of how intertwined each part of your business is.    Jess Dewell talks with Guillermo Rodriguez, Virtual CFO at Anders CPA, about the importance of an outside set of eyes that works in partnership with you to grow profitably. —-----------------  If you want to identify business bottlenecks, the necessary skills, the initial actions to take, the expected milestones, and the priorities for achieving growth, try the "Growth Framework Reset" approach. This will help you keep learning and growing while working strategically on your business. -------------------- You can get in touch with Jess Dewell on Twitter,  LinkedIn or Red Direction website.

For every pound one of his patients loses, 1 pound of food is donated, so a person with malnutrition at the other side of the world can gain one pound of weight almost at the same time.  Guillermo created a 22 day No sugar challenge that he and his team lead twice a year. It's usually followed by over 100.000 people at the same time with the purpose of learning how to live without sugar addiction. This challenge was featured in the Toby Robbins last book “Life Force” as one of the mayor contributors to Peter Diamandis health.  This year 2022, both challenge editions will have a carnivore meal plan to follow.  Finally, he created an advanced inner circle group called “Sharks”, with the purpose of getting them to a 100 years of life. The Weeknd's Super Bowl half time show was a big success for James so screw you. But he spend 7% of his own bank account to make it happen because Pepsi was being cheap assholes. A brief overview of the past Super Bowl half time shows including the first one that featured The Three Stooges in 1967. James thinks the crowd of 25 thousand at the game didn't need to be there to make a difference. They could have faked the crowd noise. And what if it rained on the cardboard cut outs. Would the have wilted and died? A studio audience should be vaccinated before everyone else and fly around to all the late night talk shows because James misses laughter. 7 Guillermo Rodriguez from Jimmy Kimmel Live has a drinking problem and isn't enough to provide laughter for the show. James is an elitist but has never eaten babies or drank their blood. If the secret cabals with Bill Gates and George Soros were so secret, how do we know about them? The Tide-to-Go pens are not big enough for James's lifestyle. He needs one as big as one of those jumbo Jiffy markers. And did you know he takes his shirt off to eat a hot dog? Ground Hogs are only right about 37% of the time on Ground Hog Day. Why not reverse the myth so it's accurate? A woman claims her Goop vagina candle exploded in her living room. James does a calculation to come up with the perfect gravity. Christopher Plummer died and only not is everyone calling him a drunk. RIP. Mike Lindell, the My Pillow guy, came out with a 3 hour movie but that's too long for me to watch. Fresno, Bakersfield 2020 Park Rankings Stay The Same, When Compared To 100 Largest Cities

As shelter-in-place continues, parks are one outlet for residents to stretch their legs and clear their heads. For the ninth year in a row, however, Fresno’s acreage and investment in parks ranks near the bottom compared to the largest 100 cities in the nation. Last year, Fresno’s ParkScore was 92 . This year its ranking didn’t budge. The ranking, calculated by the Trust for Public Land, assesses a city’s investment, total acreage, and amenities in parks, along with the percentage of residents who can easily access greenspace by living within a 10-minute walk to a park. Guillermo Rodriguez is the California State Director with the Trust for Public Land. He said one metric for improvement in Fresno is investment. “Fresno, for example, spends $41.61 per capita on parks, compared to Bakersfield, for example, you know, a city not too far away. Bakersfield spends $86.22 per capita,” said Rodriguez. Bakersfield’s score didn’t change this year either, but it ranked better than Fresno at 63.

Untreated spinal conditions, rusty medical equipment, and a fly infestation are a few of the complaints alleged by a group of doctors at the VA Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. We speak with a reporter who’s following the story. And a Massachusetts man, in prison for murder, fights to get a new trial after over 30 years in prison. Plus, we bring you the brief and fascinating history of a little-known anti-immigration party that swept the Massachusetts government in 1854, and more. Darrell “Diamond” Jones, a man convicted of murder more than three decades ago, is seeking a new trial. He appeared at a hearing in a Fall River, Massachusetts courtroom Tuesday. Photo by Jesse Costa for WBUR Casting Doubt Darrell “Diamond” Jones was convicted of the 1985 murder of alleged Cuban cocaine dealer Guillermo Rodriguez in Brockton, Massachusetts. Photo by Jesse Costa for WBUR There was dramatic testimony during an unusual hearing in a Fall River, Massachusetts courtroom on Tuesday. Darrell Jones, a man convicted of murder more than three decades ago, is seeking a new trial. Tuesday’s hearing raised questions of racial bias by jurors. And a key juror who alleged the discrimination said that she was never summoned to court to testify. WBUR’s Bruce Gellerman has the story. Last year, Bruce Gellerman and Jenifer McKim of the New England Center for Investigative Reporting collaborated on an investigation of Darrell Jones' case. Carol DiPirro talks with neighbor Andrea Inamorati about a health survey following water contamination in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Photo by Emily Corwin for NHPR Over a year ago, residents near Merrimack, New Hampshire learned their drinking water had been contaminated by emissions from a nearby plastics plant. The chemicals found in area wells, known as PFAs, have been linked to thyroid disease, cancer, immune system changes, and other health problems. Some residents there now say state and federal officials still aren't doing enough to protect them. A few neighbors are taking things into their own hands. New Hampshire Public Radio’s Emily Corwin reports. Every day, nearly a million commuters travel on the Northeast Corridor — the rail network between Washington, D.C. and Boston. Many of those passengers cross over a small river in the coastal city of Norwalk, Connecticut. But the only way for a train to get across that river is via a 120-year-old “swing bridge,” which rotates to let boats pass. And sometimes that bridge gets stuck mid-swing, causing chaos for commuters. State officials want to replace the deteriorating bridge, but locals worry about collateral damage. WNPR's Ryan Caron King reports. Un-Cared For Ed Kois, one of the doctors who went public with allegations of substandard care at the Manchester VA. Photo by Peter Biello for NHPR The Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire has come under fire for allegedly delaying care to some patients with spine conditions, resulting in their paralysis. Whistleblowers also allege that the purchase of important medical equipment had been delayed because of budgetary concerns. And the medical center has been struggling with an infestation of flies for at least a decade. These were some of the concerns doctors brought to VA investigators, who took no action. But when these same concerns were reported by the Boston Globe Spotlight Team, response from the VA was swift. Our guest Peter Biello covers veterans affairs for New Hampshire Public Radio and has been following the story as it develops. Reggie Moton of Hartford, Connecticut suffers from depression and substance use disorder. Moton was homeless for 20 years before a nonprofit called Journey Home found him this apartment in 2016. Photo by Ryan Caron King for NENC Between a quarter and a third of homeless people have a mental illness, and roughly that same percentage suffers from substance abuse disorder. Columnist Susan Campbell, who writes about housing and homelessness for the New England News Collaborative, told us the story of one man, Reggie Moton, who fits both of these categories. Campbell says Moton illustrates the years of systemic neglect of mentally ill homeless people in New England. Read Susan Campbell’s column and watch a video interview with Reggie Moton below. Know Nothings The flag of the mid 19th Century American Party. The party was commonly known as the Know Nothing Party because when asked about their secretive meetings, members were instructed to reply, “I know nothing.” Back in January, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh spoke in defiance of President Trump’s executive order promising to strip funding from so-called sanctuary cities — cities like Boston, where local police do not detain or question anyone based solely on their immigration status. At a press conference, Walsh said immigrants fearing deportation could live in City Hall if they wished. And as we've reported, leaders of other Massachusetts cities have embraced immigrant-friendly policies. But back in the 1850s, a new political party — formed in opposition to waves of European immigrants — swept to power in Boston and other Massachusetts cities, and captured the state legislature by a landslide. Anna Fisher-Pinkert tells the story of the Massachusetts Know Nothing Party. The piece was originally produced for the Commonwealth Museum in Boston. About NEXT NEXT is produced at WNPR.

This week on Feast Yr Ears , host Harry Rosenblum is in studio with Alysia Santo of The Marshall Project, a nonprofit, nonpartisan news organization covering America’s criminal justice system. Talking about her writing and research on the prison food system, there is little consistency in regulations for feeding inmates and much of the quality and frequency of meals is dependent on budget. Inmates are entitled to three meals a day that are nutritious, unfortunately this is not always adhered to.  After the break, Guillermo Rodriguez of the Carnegie Hill Institute discusses his time spent in prison as a cook and spares no detail in recalling his experiences, including his thoughts on prison wine or “hooch.” “Replacing meat with soy products – that has been a popular change because its cheaper.” [10:15] –Alysia Santo on Feast Yr Ears “If the inmate is not allowed to take part in the meal, he’s not receiving the proper nutritional content he’s entitled to.” [22:30] –Guillermo Rodriguez on Feast Yr Ears
