Álvaro Fernández: co-responsable del negocio España y Portugal de Capital Group, viene a nuestro programa para hablarnos de la inversión en mercados emergentes. ¿En qué situación se encuentran ahora mismo estos mercados? “Los mercados emergentes incluyen ya a 24 países, que supone el 60% de PIB”, afirma el invitado. Recalca también que ahora hay muchas más oportunidades en este tipo de inversiones. Sobre el crecimiento de los países que conforman estos mercados emergentes, el entrevistado explica que se espera que “crezcan un 4%”. Aunque la cifra parezca menor si se echa un vistazo al crecimiento de años anteriores, el experto matiza que hay que compararlo con otro tipo de inversiones, “como el mercado americano, que se espera que crezca un 2% o un 1% para Europa”. ¿Cúal es la correlación entre el riesgo geopolítico y los mercados emergentes? ¿Cómo afecta esto a este tipo de inversiones? “El riesgo geopolítico afecta a los mercados emergentes pero no les afecta tanto como si hubiera pasado hace 10 o 15 años”, nos comenta el co-responsable del negocio España y Portugal de Capital Group. ¿Por qué han sufrido cada vez menos este tipo de países? El invitado señala que “la mayoría de estas economías emergentes han hecho sus deberes, son economías más saneadas con inflaciones controladas y domésticamente han hecho su labor”. Eso sí, puntualiza que no afecta a todos los países de la misma manera. ¿Donde ve la empresa las mayores oportunidades en los mercados emergentes? “Hay oportunidades en las dos patas de la inversión, tanto en la parte de la renta fija como en la parte de la renta variable”, asegura el invitado. Dentro de todo esto, señala que “la parte más de un cupón alto y con duraciones medias y ahí está Latinoamerica, con Brasil y Colombia, que cumplen con estos requisitos”.

Un día, surgió una discusión entre ellos en el que uno de los dos increpó al otro por haber elegido la ruta equivocada (si bien la decisión había sido conjunta) y en un arrebato de ira le dió una bofetada. El agredido no dijo nada, pero escribió en la arena que en ese día su mejor amigo le había pegado una bofetada (una reacción que sorprendió al primero).Posteriormente ambos llegaron a un oasis, en el cual decidieron bañarse. En ello estaban cuando el anteriormente agredido empezó a ahogarse, a lo que el otro respondió rescatándole. El joven le agradeció la ayuda y posteriormente, con un cuchillo, escribió sobre una piedra que su mejor amigo le había salvado la vida.El primero, curioso, le preguntó a su compañero por qué cuando le había pegado el había escrito en la arena y ahora lo hacía en una piedra. El Día de Reyes se origina en la tradición cristiana, conmemorando la Epifanía: la visita de los Reyes Magos al Niño Jesús en Belén, 13 días después de su nacimiento, para adorarlo y entregarle oro, incienso y mirra como símbolos de su realeza, divinidad y humanidad. Constituye una fuente de ingresos clave para Panamá a través de los peajes que se cobran a los barcos que pasan por el canal. Es una celebración alegre que combina tradiciones indígenas prehispánicas con creencias católicas, donde se cree que los espíritus de los difuntos regresan a visitar a los vivos. Las familias crean coloridos altares con ofrendas como comida, flores (especialmente la flor de cempasúchil) y velas, y a menudo pasan la noche en las tumbas de sus familiares. Su origen se ubica en la armonía entre la celebración de los rituales religiosos católicos traídos por los españoles y la conmemoración del día de muertos que los indígenas realizaban desde los tiempos prehispánicos; los antiguos mexicas, mixtecas, texcocanos, zapotecas, tlaxcaltecas, totonacas y otros pueblos originarios. Cada año muchas familias colocan ofrendas y altares decorados con flores de cempasúchil, papel picado, calaveritas de azúcar, pan de muerto, mole o algún platillo que le gustaba a sus familiares a quien va dedicada la ofrenda, y al igual que en tiempos prehispánicos, se coloca incienso para aromatizar el lugar.La tradición también indica que, para facilitar el retorno de las almas a la tierra, se deben esparcir pétalos de flores de cempasúchil y colocar velas trazando el camino que van a recorrer para que estas almas no se pierdan y lleguen a su destino. En la antigüedad este camino llegaba desde la casa de las familias hasta el panteón donde descansaban sus seres queridos. Se cree que las almas de los difuntos regresan a la tierra para visitar a sus familias. Es una conmemoración alegre que celebra la vida, no una ocasión sombría. Se usan altares, ofrendas y se visita a los difuntos.
