FORD MUSTANG MACH-E GT PERFORMANCE EDITION MAKES UK DEBUT - Ford's high performance Mustang Mach-e GT has made its UK debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed ahead of first customer deliveries in late summer 2021. The model rivals the likes of Kia's 576bhp EV6 GT, but costs a chunk more at £67,225. - The GT pairs an 88kWh battery with an electric motor on each axle for a combined output of 459bhp. - s more powerful than an actual Mustang GT, which produces 444bhp from its 5-litre V8 - Torque is rated at a more impressive 634lb ft of torque – for reference, that's 146lb ft more than the Tesla Model Y Performance, and more even than the most powerful road-legal Mustang ever, the Shelby GT500. - 3.7sec is enough to cover the 0-62mph sprint, 1.4sec quicker than the ordinary Mach-E AWD. Top speed is a somewhat low for its class at 124mph, 13mph quicker than its standard siblings - Mach-E GT's range is rated at 310 miles (WLTP) on single charge, sacrificing 25 miles over the standard Mach-E AWD and 69 miles RWD variants fitted with the extended 99kWh battery. The cars come with a choice of two battery sizes, three power outputs and four trim levels, offering a maximum range of 316 miles from a single charge. - Audi will give you a 55 kWh battery with 52 kWh of usable capacity, as well as the entry-level 35 e-tron powertrain. That produces 168 bhp, all of which is sent to the rear wheels. As a result, the car will manage 208 miles between trips to the plug, while the 0-62 mph sprint takes nine seconds flat. - 40 e-tron powertrain is even more capable. With an 82 kWh battery (of which 77 kWh is usable) and a 201 bhp electric motor, this is the model that manages 316 miles to a charge. And because it's more powerful, the motor will get you from 0-62 mph in 8.5 seconds - the 50 e-tron Quattro system. Unlike the 35 e-tron and 40 e-tron, it has two electric motors providing 295 bhp and four-wheel drive. The first deliveries to Nio's first European market Norway are already on the way. - Nio has now received important certifications for later use in EU countries. The German certification agency TÜV Rheinland issued the European Conformity Certificate and TÜV MARK Approval Certificate to the ‘Power Swap Station', the DC ‘Power Charger' and the AC wallbox ‘Power Home'. This means that the devices may be sold and operated in all EU member states. - Nio wants to operate more than 4,000 of the stations worldwide, including around 1,000 outside China. - Meanwhile, rumours are growing that the next European market after Norway could be Germany – not only because the German car market is highly attractive for Chinese brands. Specifically, the company is looking for a “General Manager of Nio Germany” based in Munich. According to the job advertisement on LinkedIn, there are already more than 170 applications for the vacant position. Instead, Harley has spun off its electric motorcycle division into its own brand, which is also called LiveWire. The LiveWire One looks a whole lot like the Harley-branded LiveWire we know and love, only it's got a new paint job and a new logo. As before, the bike offers up around 146 miles of range in urban riding and can be DC fast-charged from 0-100% in 60 minutes, making it pretty easy to live with. - What it does seem to have revamped is the LiveWire One's pricing. What used to be a nearly $30,000 motorcycle now asks just $21,999 before any applicable tax credits - The LiveWire One will make its physical debut on July 18 at the International Motorcycle Show in Northern California. This episode is a great discussion with Todd McNabney, the owner and lead designer at HEROIC Racing Apparel, and his motorcycle racing buddy, Chris Onwiler, who in addition to being an accomplished racer, track day coach and writer, is also a customer and huge advocate of HEROIC’s motorcycle racing gear. I met Todd at the International Motorcycle Show in New York City last December, when I bought a pair of his HEROIC SP-R Pro racing gloves as the first item in my new kit of gear for doing track days this season. I was very impressed with Heroic’s products, the message behind their products, and their loyal customer base, and thought it would be cool to bring you the story behind HEROIC Racing and how the company got started. And for those listeners only interested in riding on the street, in addition to their products for the race track, HEROIC applies the same ingenuity and care that they put into protecting riders on the track into their line of motorcycle gear for street riders, such as their street gloves and Kevlar hoodie. Episode 220: Our guest this time around is Robert Pandya, the team manager for International Motorcycle Show's Discover The Ride Initiative. Taking place primarily at the different IMS venues, (and some other places), DTR invites new and experienced riders, from kids to adults, to try out and enjoy five interactive riding zones, with the big one being an actual riding course on speed-limited Zero electric motorcycles. Instructors from Total Control Training provide guidance and instruction while safety gear comes from Cycle Gear, Shark, HJC, and Shoei. They got kids rolling around on Stacyc electric balance bikes. They let you get on a wheelie machine to feel what a wheelie is like. They got a dyno machine so you can sit on something that's really loud. It's equivalent to the 30 min trial dive you can do with Scuba stuff and hopefully, it spreads! Wheelnerds stickers and keytags for sale! Check them out here! With no International Motorcycle Show in the Pacific Northwest this year, Tom and Derek look for other ways to keep busy with the bikes. And there are plenty of options. The show opens with discussion of current happenings and a distinct lack of marketing in the market overall. During Newsbytes the pair discuss the pros and cons of bringing ten new models to market in a single year. The calendar is deceivingly loaded with events and the show closes with more tips and tricks every rider can use.
In this week's episode, Chris, Daniel and Tyler -- accompanied by Rachel -- delve into the new bikes that were officiially unveiled at the 2016 International Motorcycle Show, ranging from Suzuki's new GSX-R1000 and Honda's Fireblade to the new Ducati Supersport. Then, we talk a bit about a question that Chris posed on Instagram earlier this week, "Where did he come up with the name for his Hyoermotard, Thirteen?". So come on in, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the show! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/wingmansgarage/support
This week's episode of Wingman's Garage finds Chris, Daniel and Tina recording in an open air pavillion as they await Tyler's arrival. We start with a discussion about the "End of Summer" rides and other similar events happening across the country, mostly in regards to enjoying the event without becoming the cause of an accident, before throwing out the open invite for our upcoming Fall Ride this weekend. Then, we delve into the upcoming International Motorcycle Show, where we are anxiously awaiting the unveiling of Yamaha's newest addition to their R-series of sport bikes. Daniel and Chris, along with the tardy Tyler, then talk about the bikes we hope to there from the likes of Honda, Suzuki, Bimota and Ducati. Hell, we even talk about some Milwaukee Iron -- in a good way -- while we're there! Before closing the show, we invite, no, challenge, our listeners to submit their ultimate RestoMod bike via our social media outlets. Tom has just returned from the Sasquatch Dual Sport GPS Adventure Tour and has stories to tell. A look into our News Bytes reveals a used bike shortage and we won't see an International Motorcycle Show in the PNW this year. The calendar shows what a clusterduck it is in rally land this month. Then the guys review new gear on the market and share a few of their tips to close out the show.
Hello brothers and sisters, it's the Motorcycle Men back in the studio for yet another episode of idiocy. In this episode, we discuss the snow, Chris's bike, a very bad audiobook and the Harley Rendezvous Classic, something you should really check out and we talked about the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville. We also talked about the new and very potential bagger produced by BMW, the Concept 101 designed by Roland Sands. Quite the machine and one we saw at the International Motorcycle Show in December. We also chatted up our High Point Ride we are planning for this year. You might want to keep an ear open for that, because it's going to be epic. This Episode was also the premier of our new series, "50 Roads, 50 States". In this series we highlight a state and tell a little something about the roads and attractions you can find in each state. In this episode, we thought it best to kick it off right here in our home state, New Jersey. So enjoy, and please by all means send us your comments, we look forward to them.Ride safe and don't smell,Ted Support the show (https://www.paypal.com/donate/?token=zPl7v5FjoO6fCov5rwbFo35sxmoOIUqUhcR1q1UVtP34xAVolJzW0aJ6GNSdljsPAT4MC0&fromUL=true&country.x=US&locale.x=en_US)

I went to the 2014 international motorcycle show in Rosemont Illinois in February. I know it's damn close to May but better late than never. The show was jam-packed which I hope is a good sign for the industry. Something different this time there were actually Harley dealers with their own booths. I believe there were three different Harley dealerships represented at the show plus Harley the parent company. A lot of new products this year which is a good sign! Manufacturers are investing in research and development bringing new products to market.
This was a recording I made at the Indian both. I was at the International Motorcycle Show in Rosemont IL.
