https://www.amazon.com/HIGH-Confessions-Leonard-Lee-Buschel/dp/1737926601/ If National Lampoon published a hysterically funny and mildly offensive parody of recovery memoirs, it couldn't be as funny and mildly offensive as this autobiography of Leonard Lee Buschel, co-founder of Writers in Treatment, producers of the internationally acclaimed Reel Recovery Film Festivals, the Experience Strength and Hope Awards, and publishers of the Addiction/Recovery e-Bulletin. HIGH is far more than a vastly entertaining recovery memoir. It is an open emotional summons, a sincere invitation to a life lived awake and alert, a life vibrating at a higher frequency of increased creativity and joy, and if you so desire, social inclusion, fun, fellowship, and plenty of free coffee.

We queried ChatGPT: “Please tell me about the future of IoT and AI.” ChatGPT response: The future of the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) holds tremendous potential for transforming various industries and aspects of our daily lives… Increased Connectivity, Smarter Homes and Cities, Enhanced Industrial Automation, Healthcare Innovations, Edge Computing, AI-Enabled Consumer Experiences, Enhanced Cybersecurity Challenges, Collaboration and Standardization… We also asked ChatGPT: “Please send me fictional movie quotes about the Internet.” ChatGPT response: – “I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.” [HAL 9000, 2001: A Space Odyssey, 1968] – “The internet is the nervous system of the 21st century.” [The Circle, 2017] – “Everything is connected. This episode of Over the Edge features an interview between Matt Trifiro and Leonard Lee, Executive Analyst and Founder of neXt Curve, a global research advisory firm focused on emerging technology research. Leonard discusses how converging technologies are creating new opportunities at the edge and the interesting trends he is observing. This conversation spans across edge versus on-premises, failed digital transformations, edge tech in retail, digital twins and more.Key Quotes:“As these cloud native technologies come closer or start to infiltrate the vast expense that is the edge, it's challenging everyone's assumption because you take the hyperscaler mindset, you try to apply it to the edge, it does not work. The edge is totally a different beast. And we're seeing that realization in the industry start to play out.”“The interesting stuff happening at the edge for retail is localizing the personalization, being able to close the loop on customer interactions. Now it sounds easy, but it's not.”“So if you look at something like edge computing, the reason why it's exciting is because we're looking at a lot of the things that are happening on endpoint devices and how they're becoming more capable intersecting with cloud technologies, and it's creating a whole new realm of possibilities across what we call quote unquote, the edge.”“When we talk about edge computing and edge, what we're not talking about is the paradigm that has dominated our thinking for the last 15 years, which is you have a client at the edge and it's talking to a, and communicating and relying on, a central hyperscale data center.”“Modernization is a huge opportunity because if you can't modernize and you don't modernize, you can't really pull through a lot of these aspirational applications and visions that we have for these technologies.”---------Show Timestamps:(02:19) How did Leonard get his start in technology? The Buzz 1: I queried ChatGPT how it writes a novel. Response: As a language model, ChatGPT can generate text in a variety of styles and formats, including novels…text that is well-formed and coherent, it may not necessarily generate a novel that is original, engaging, or emotionally impactful. Writing a good novel …requires creativity, imagination, and a deep understanding of human emotions and experiences. The Buzz 2: I queried ChatGPT on legal issues of using AI to write a novel. Response: As a machine learning model, I do not have the ability to legally hold or own intellectual property. However, the ownership of intellectual property generated by a machine learning model can be a complex issue. Generally speaking, the creator of a work is considered to be the owner of the copyright in that work. In the case of a story or novel generated by a machine learning model like mine, the ownership of the copyright would typically be held by the entity or individual that created and trained the model. The Buzz 3: I asked ChatGPT for movie quotes that define a “novelist”. “A novelist is simply a person who creates imaginary characters and then sits back to see what they will do.” [P. L. Travers, played by Emma Thompson, Saving Mr. Banks, 2013 biographical drama film] “Being a novelist is like being a detective, only instead of solving a crime, you're trying to solve the mysteries of the human heart.” [Henry DeTamble, played by Eric Bana, The Time Traveler's Wife, 2009 romantic sci-fi drama film] “As a novelist, you have to be prepared to live with your characters for a long time. You have to know them inside and out, to be able to write about them in a way that is authentic and true.” [Jane Austen, played by Anne Hathaway, Becoming Jane, 2007 biographical romantic drama film] “A writer is the sum of their experiences. Go get some.” [Gil Pender, played by Owen Wilson, Midnight in Paris, 2011 fantasy comedy film] We'll ask BJ Magnani, Leonard Lee, Matt Cost, and Barbara Struna for their take on The Future of Human Novelists vs AI – Who Writes the Story? Who Owns the Rights?
