Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, spoke with Raj Darji, Founder & CEO of Aarav Solutions, about the company's launch of two generative AI accelerators—InsightForge and Omni360—designed to help communications service providers modernize billing operations, sales workflows, and customer engagement. Aarav Solutions is a long-standing Oracle Communications implementation partner with more than a decade of domain expertise across Oracle BRM and related telecom platforms. Darji explained that this deep operational knowledge is embedded directly into Aarav's GenAI accelerators, enabling CSPs to adopt AI without disrupting existing infrastructure. “We are not experimenting with AI—we are applying it where telecom operators feel the most pain, inside billing and operations,” said Darji. InsightForge is a GenAI accelerator purpose-built for Oracle BRM that allows business, finance, and operations teams to query complex billing data using natural language—without writing SQL or relying on back-office specialists. By translating plain-language questions into database queries, InsightForge delivers real-time visibility into invoices, balances, taxes, and discrepancies, significantly reducing operational dependencies and response times. Omni360 extends this capability with an AI-driven CRM and CPQ platform tightly integrated with BRM. Designed for mid-market CSPs, MVNOs, and enterprise connectivity providers, Omni360 unifies CRM and billing into a single pane of glass and enables sales teams to generate products, pricing, and quotes through natural-language prompts. Introduced at Mobile World Congress, both solutions drew strong interest for demonstrating how GenAI can deliver immediate, practical value rather than remain a conceptual buzzword. Season's Greetings Glocal Citizens! I met this week's guest, Derrick N. Ashong, earlier this year in Nairobi at the Charter Cities Institute, 2025 New Cities Summit (https://youtu.be/d9XUzdxKmzo?si=FbITjI8Git8kEb9Q). At the summit, we connected as storytellers that share Ghanaian heritage and formative years spent in Brooklyn, New York. In a glocal citizenship twist, we later came to find that we met virtually years prior through mutual connections in the media and arts spaces. Derrick's work leverages his international upbringing which informs his company's vision for Turning Culture into Currency for creators and fans worldwide. He does this as founder and CEO of TBTM, a media fintech that uses content to onboard global audiences to inclusive financial solutions, with partners like Mastercard. While still a student at Harvard, he played a supporting role in Steven Spielberg's Amistad, and went on to top charts with his band, winning a Billboard Songwriting Award. As a host and producer, he pioneered multi-platform interactive content with Oprah Winfrey, and major media platforms including ABC-Disney and Univision, earning three Emmy nods and a Royal Television Society Award. His original Take Back the Mic television series has won seven major international awards and achieved 1.1 Billion media impressions worldwide. He has delivered electrifying speeches on issues of Youth Culture and Tech for UK Parliament, the United Nations, and the world's most elite business schools, including Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Wharton, Cambridge and London School of Economics. He has interviewed celebrities and global luminaries ranging from Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Kofi Annan, to Zoe Saldaña, Kevin Hart and Steven Wozniak, among others. Most recently, he has delivered keynote speeches for Mastercard, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and Kigali, as well as SuperReturn Africa--the continent's top investment forum. With over 30 years in wireless—from helping pioneer intercarrier SMS to running mobile identity operations across Americas and Asia Pacific — Eddie DeCurtis saw what others missed: 967 of 1,000 global mobile network operators lack the infrastructure to monetize CPNI data while protecting customers from fraud. The technical challenge isn't building APIs. It's that operators spent billions on 5G infrastructure and now lack capital, internal expertise, and operational frameworks to launch authentication services. In 18 months, Shush went from PowerPoint to 30 employees, supporting 47 network APIs with full GSMA Open Gateway compliance. Eddie shares how understanding regulatory frameworks by jurisdiction, not just deploying technology, became their competitive moat—and why hiring the executive who built T-Mobile USA's authentication platform gave them credibility no competitor could match. Topics Discussed: Why operators repeatedly said "we want to do it, we have no idea how, we have no money, we don't have a platform" Validating the thesis with former AT&T Communications CEO John Donovan before launching Securing a POC with a major operator pre-incorporation—with only a PowerPoint deck The three-legged stool: technology, network integration, and business operations (where competitors fail) Why knowing privacy regulations for CPNI data sharing by country became a deal-closer Reducing network integration from dozens of touchpoints to three specific network elements Supporting 8 Linux Foundation Camara APIs and TS.43 GBA AKA authentication standard Going from 3 to 30 employees and launching at Mobile World Congress on a $75/night Airbnb budget GTM Lessons For B2B Founders: Validate with the person most likely to kill your idea: Eddie deliberately chose John Donovan—former CEO of AT&T Communications, board member at Lockheed and Palo Alto Networks—specifically because "he's going to be rough, he's going to totally ask the really hard questions." When Donovan's response was "go raise $40 million and own this space...you're not going to be alone for long," the validation carried weight because it came from someone incentivized to find fatal flaws. Most founders validate with friendly audiences or investors looking for deals. Find the battle-tested executive who has nothing to gain from being kind. Convert pre-product conviction into design partner commitments: Eddie secured a POC agreement with a major operator before Shush incorporated. "I had nothing. I didn't have software. We had an idea, we had a PowerPoint presentation." This only works when you've spent decades building domain expertise and relationships. The lesson isn't "sell vaporware"—it's that deep industry knowledge lets you articulate problem-solution fit so precisely that sophisticated buyers commit before seeing code. Infrastructure founders with 10+ years in-market can accelerate 12-18 months of product-market fit by converting expertise into early design partnerships. The enterprise moat is operational knowledge, not technical capability: Eddie's thesis: "Anybody can come up with the technology. You walk down the street in the Bay Area, 10 developers will develop it for you." Shush differentiated by answering questions competitors couldn't: How do you price SIM swap detection per query? What are CPNI data sharing regulations in Indonesia versus Brazil? How do you navigate internal stakeholder alignment across legal, privacy, and regulatory teams at a tier-one operator? When Eddie told an operator "here's the privacy rules for your country" after they admitted "I have no idea," he closed a knowledge gap that pure technology vendors can't fill. In regulated infrastructure markets, execution expertise beats technical superiority. Target the ambition-capability gap in capital-constrained buyers: Operators told Eddie the same story: eager to launch authentication services, zero clarity on execution, budgets decimated by 5G spending. This created perfect conditions for a full-stack solution. "Mid-market is hard because you have a buyer with problems that are not basic anymore, but they lack the ability to execute." Shush didn't sell point solutions—they delivered technology, integration, and business operations as a turnkey package. Identify buyers with sophisticated needs, strong intent, and constrained internal resources. That's where full-stack platforms win over point tools. Hire the operator who ran your exact use case at scale: Eddie cold-called John Morrowton, who "built this actual product and service offering at T-Mobile USA, from its inception to its execution and ran it for four years." His pitch: "I'm Eddie DeCurtis, how are you? You want a job? You're Chief Product Officer." Hiring someone who'd operationalized authentication services at a tier-one carrier gave Shush instant credibility with operator buyers and compressed years of trial-and-error into institutional knowledge. In infrastructure sales, hiring executives from reference customers eliminates "can you actually do this" objections before they surface. Minimize integration surface area to accelerate deployment: Mobile operators run highly secure networks with limited external access points. Shush "narrowed it down to three network elements that we can communicate with to provide all 47 APIs." Fewer integration points means faster deployment, lower implementation risk, and reduced operator IT overhead. This architectural decision became a sales accelerator. Infrastructure founders: identify the minimal viable integration that unlocks maximum API coverage, then make that your differentiated deployment story. // Sponsors: Front Lines — We help B2B tech companies launch, manage, and grow podcasts that drive demand, awareness, and thought leadership. www.FrontLines.io The Global Talent Co. — We help tech startups find, vet, hire, pay, and retain amazing marketing talent that costs 50-70% less than the US & Europe. www.GlobalTalent.co // Don't Miss: New Podcast Series — How I Hire Senior GTM leaders share the tactical hiring frameworks they use to build winning revenue teams. I had one of those conversations that reminded me why I'm so passionate about exploring the intersection of technology and society. Speaking with Mark Smith, a board member at IBC and co-lead of their accelerator program, I found myself transported back to my roots in communication and media studies, but with eyes wide open to what's coming next.Mark has spent over 30 years in media technology, including 23 years building Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. When someone with that depth of experience gets excited about what's happening now, you pay attention. And what's happening at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam this September is nothing short of a redefinition of how we create, distribute, and authenticate content. The numbers alone are staggering: 1,350 exhibitors across 14 halls, nearly 300 speakers, 45,000 visitors. But what struck me wasn't the scale—it's the philosophical shift happening in how we think about media production. We're witnessing television's centennial year, with the first demonstrations happening in 1925, and yet we're simultaneously seeing the birth of entirely new forms of creative expression. What fascinated me most was Mark's description of their Accelerator Media Innovation Program. Since 2019, they've run over 50 projects involving 350 organizations, creating what he calls "a safe environment" for collaboration. This isn't just about showcasing new gadgets—it's about solving real challenges that keep media professionals awake at night. In our Hybrid Analog Digital Society, the traditional boundaries between broadcaster and audience, between creator and consumer, are dissolving faster than ever. The AI revolution in media production particularly caught my attention. Mark spoke about "AI assistant agents" and "agentic AI" with the enthusiasm of someone who sees liberation rather than replacement. As he put it, "It's an opportunity to take out a lot of laborious processes." But more importantly, he emphasized that it's creating new jobs—who would have thought "AI prompter" would become a legitimate profession? This perspective challenges the dystopian narrative often surrounding AI adoption. Instead of fearing the technology, the media industry seems to be embracing it as a tool for enhanced creativity. Mark's excitement was infectious when describing how AI can remove the "boring" aspects of production, allowing creative minds to focus on what they do best—tell stories that matter. But here's where it gets really interesting from a sociological perspective: the other side of the screen. We talked about how streaming revolutionized content consumption, giving viewers unprecedented control over their experience. Yet Mark observed something I've noticed too—while the technology exists for viewers to be their own directors (choosing camera angles in sports, for instance), many prefer to trust the professional's vision. We're not necessarily seeking more control; we're seeking more relevance and authenticity. This brings us to one of the most critical challenges of our time: content provenance. In a world where anyone can create content that looks professional, how do we distinguish between authentic journalism and manufactured narratives? Mark highlighted their work on C2PA (content provenance initiative), developing tools that can sign and verify media sources, tracking where content has been manipulated. This isn't just a technical challenge—it's a societal imperative. As Mark noted, YouTube is now the second most viewed platform in the UK. When user-generated content competes directly with traditional media, we need new frameworks for understanding truth and authenticity. The old editorial gatekeepers are gone; we need technological solutions that preserve trust while enabling creativity. What gives me hope is the approach I heard from Mark and his colleagues. They're not trying to control technology's impact on society—they're trying to shape it consciously. The IBC Accelerator Program represents something profound: an industry taking responsibility for its own transformation, creating spaces for collaboration rather than competition, focusing on solving real problems rather than just building cool technology. The Google Hackfest they're launching this year perfectly embodies this philosophy. Young broadcast engineers and software developers working together on real challenges, supported by established companies like Formula E. It's not about replacing human creativity with artificial intelligence—it's about augmenting human potential with technological tools. As I wrapped up our conversation, I found myself thinking about my own journey from studying sociology of communication in a pre-internet world to hosting podcasts about our digital transformation. Technology doesn't just change how we communicate—it changes who we are as communicators, as creators, as human beings sharing stories.IBC 2025 isn't just a trade show; it's a glimpse into how we're choosing to redefine our relationship with media technology. And that choice—that conscious decision to shape rather than simply react—gives me genuine optimism about our Hybrid Analog Digital Society.Subscribe to Redefining Society and Technology Podcast for more conversations exploring how we're consciously shaping our technological future. Your thoughts and reflections always enrich these discussions.

“We're continuing to grow, while others are shrinking,” said Stan Gray, Senior Vice President of IoT Broadband and HiCat Vertical Sales at Telit Cinterion, in a recent conversation with Technology Reseller News. As Q2 begins, Gray shared how Telit Cinterion is building on its 40-year legacy to meet today's demand for intelligent, always-on, and high-bandwidth IoT solutions. Stan Gray At this year's Mobile World Congress, Telit Cinterion unveiled its fourth generation of 5G modules powered by Qualcomm's SDX82 and 85 chipsets. These new offerings combine advanced connectivity with Qualcomm's AI engine, enabling edge intelligence and prioritization—especially for video applications that demand real-time processing. “It's a critical capability when you're streaming rich video or other latency-sensitive content,” said Gray. Another game-changing release: Telit's new multi-profile eSIM. With it, devices like point-of-sale terminals can instantly switch between carrier profiles to ensure constant uptime. “It's all about mission-critical continuity,” Gray emphasized. This latest innovation continues Telit's tradition of delivering products that evolve with market needs—from GSM beginnings to full-spectrum 5G support. Today, Telit Cinterion is the Western market leader in cellular IoT modules. That leadership was bolstered by its 2022 acquisition of Thales' cellular IoT division, propelling Telit into new territories and giving customers access to comprehensive solutions spanning hardware, connectivity, and cloud. Yet growth in 5G also brings challenges. “The biggest one is education,” Gray noted. Many OEMs still sell globally without embedding connectivity, relying on customers to figure out how to connect. That often creates friction—and missed opportunities. “We want to help those OEMs become ecosystem players, not just hardware vendors,” said Gray. Another challenge is the speed of innovation. “The market is moving fast, from LTE Cat-1 to 5G REDCap. We're not just talking about what customers need now—we're helping them prepare for 2026 and beyond.” Future-proofing, Gray explained, starts with product longevity. “We work with customers to choose the right technologies that will still be supported seven to eight years down the line.” Gray's message to enterprises weighing tech investments carefully in 2024: “There's always risk, but if you work with a trusted partner that sees the road ahead, you can make smart, future-focused decisions.” Learn more: telit.com
“If you're not moving now, someone else will poach your base. The opportunity is huge—but the window is now.” — Robert Galop, Creo Solutions As AI, CPaaS, and automation shift from buzzwords to business drivers, Creo Solutions is helping MSPs, CSPs, and channel partners get from theory to execution—fast. In a recent Technology Reseller News podcast, we caught up with Robert Galop and Kevin Nethercott to talk about lessons from a packed Q1 event season and how Creo is helping partners double revenue and reduce churn with powerful new tools like communications automation and vCon-based analytics. From Buzz to Business: AI Finds Its Place At events like Mobile World Congress, Enterprise Connect, and Channel Partners, Galop and Nethercott saw a turning point: AI is no longer a billboard phrase. It's now a baked-in feature set delivering real-world impact. “This year, AI moved off the signage and into actual use cases,” said Galop. “It's impacting customer experience, sales, employee workflows—and it's starting to move the needle on revenue.” Nethercott added that network APIs are making similar leaps—from future promise to practical tools. Use cases like replacing SMS one-time passwords with secure network authentication are hitting the market now, with major players like Meta moving in. CPaaS and Automation: The Next Big Shift What's next? According to Creo, it's communications automation—helping CSPs and MSPs offer smarter, faster, more connected customer experiences. “Service providers often think they can't deliver this,” said Galop. “We come in, co-sell with them, train their teams, and help get it in front of customers.” Creo also supports deployment of vCon-based analytics, which let service providers tap into millions of voice and digital interactions already flowing across their networks. That data, once invisible, is now actionable—reducing churn, identifying revenue opportunities, and even recovering at-risk accounts. “One of our customers used vCons to detect churn risk—and saved two major clients within 30 days,” said Galop. Fast Ramp, Real Results What sets Creo apart is its speed and end-to-end support. They're helping partners go from zero to revenue-generating in under 30 days. ✅ Advisory: Go-to-market guidance, C-level alignment, blue sky planning ✅ Training: Sales team enablement, customer discovery sessions ✅ Tech: Development + integration support to activate automation and analytics ✅ Urgency: Involved in $100K+ automation deals and $200K+ analytics rollouts now “We've done this before,” said Nethercott. “We bring the tech, the playbook, and the team to get our partners moving immediately.” A Simple Entry, a High-Stakes Moment “It's easy to get started—but the caution is, this will move fast,” warned Galop. “If you're not doing this, someone else in your market will.” Creo is actively looking for partners who are ready to act. For CSPs and MSPs under pressure to differentiate, scale, and win in Q2, this might be the quarter that changes everything. In this episode, what's old is new again, and what's new is... AI again. The Verge's Allison Johnson and Dominic Preston join David to discuss their experience at Mobile World Congress 2025, where they saw the latest devices from Xiaomi, Samsung, Realme, and others — and found themselves confronted with some big, surprising new ideas about how our smartphones should look and work. After that, Kevin Rose and Justin Mezzell talk about the process of bringing Digg back, and how AI can improve the way social networks operate. Digg got a lot of things right two decades ago, and plans to do it all over again now. Finally, we answer a question about printers from the Vergecast Hotline (call 866-VERGE11 or email vergecast@theverge.com!), with some help from Framework CEO Nirav Patel. Mobile World Congress, the annual gathering of telecom industry players, has expanded to embrace a broad range of technology and this year's event will bring together a broad range of vendors, telecom operators and industry leaders. The theme of convergence has seen real world impacts and Raul Castañon, Mohammed Hamza and Lynnette Luna return to discuss what they're expecting to see with host Eric Hanselman. The rise of network API's for security and location services looks to open the door to greater application integration. It's something operators have been hoping for, but there are questions about how they'll monetize it. Many of the technologies that previewed in previous years are gaining traction. Open RAN technologies have matured and the ecosystem supporting them has expanded. There are still questions lingering about deployment timelines, but that seems to be shifting to a matter of when, rather than if. And, of course, AI is playing a role in much of what's taking place in the exhibition halls.
