National conservatism's economic protectionism and interventionism skate too close to the left and serve as excuses for isolationism, centralization that erodes federalism, and more government control; the opposite is needed—deregulation, further tax cuts, and shrinking the central government—lest economic collapse destroy civil society, as the COVID-era attacks on liberties in blue states and cities already demonstrated. Also, Maggie Haberman is a supposed New York Times journalist who is a Trump-hating thug. She's a new journalist who mixes facts, gossip, and fake news. She now suggests that Melania Trump may be upset about President Trump's special assistant Natalie Harp. She's a sleazeball for attacking hardworking women who support the president instead of backing them. Later, there is no truly affordable blue city or blue state in the country for working people and the middle class who keep the nation running—only for welfare recipients or illegal aliens who pay nothing. High sales taxes, gasoline taxes, property taxes, commuter taxes, and various invented fees and user charges fall heavily on those who work and own homes, effectively forcing homeowners to pay a second mortgage to the government after the bank's. Finally, Jon Levine Calls in to discuss his report that Hasan Piker's younger brother Murat is an aerospace engineer who held active security clearances and spent more than a decade at Boeing Defense & Space working on major U.S. military projects. These included the presidential Air Force One (VC-25B), and the E-6B “doomsday plane” designed to maintain nuclear command in wartime. Influenced by the emerging global vogue for organized sports, all boys from the expanding middle class of the late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century imperial capital were expected to exercise and compete on the playing field in order to develop into moral men. Yet even as the embrace of modern athletics transcended ethnoreligious divisions, it did not erase them. Drawing on a wide range of archival research in multiple languages, Yıldız shows that sportsmen created new communal boundaries in team affiliations, fandom, and sports media. Yildiz is Associate Professor of History at Skidmore College. He specializes in the cultural and social history of the modern Middle East. In particular, his research examines the intersections of sports, identity, the body, gender, and intercommunality in the late Ottoman Empire. His book, "The Ottoman World of Sports: Refashioning Bodies, Men, and Communities in Late Imperial Istanbul" (The University of Texas Press), examines how Istanbul's Muslim, Christian, and Jewish denizens created a shared sports culture during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He is an assistant editor for the Arab Studies Journal and serves as an editorial board member of the International Journal of the History of Sport. He received his Ph.D. in History from the University of California, Los Angeles and served as a Manoogian Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of History at the University of Michigan.   Connect with Murat C.
