Íme egy interjú a vele készült interjúkról. Alig egy hónapja jelent meg ugyanis az idén 70 éves Magvető Kiadó gondozásában egy hiánypótló beszélgetéskötet, amely vállaltan nem „best of válogatás”, mégis Esterházy legnagyobb erejű interjúit gyűjti össze. Pál Sándor Attila válogatta és Turi Tímea szerkesztette kötetbe azt a 19 beszélgetést, amelyek között a feltételezett első és a halála előtt készült utolsó is szerepel. Esterházy egyébként épp annyira nem szeretett interjút adni, ahogy kerülte a nosztalgiázást is. Ez a kötet mégsem mentes a nosztalgiától. Vajon kilépett-e mostanra a szerzői purgatóriumból? És egyáltalán mit ért ez alatt a szépirodalmi közeg? Miért volt már életében közéleti szerepvállalásai miatt a kultúrharc egyik főszereplője? Mitől üdítő és sokszor megrázóan izgalmas az Esterházy univerzum? És vajon mi mindennek köszönhető, hogy a Vanni van című interjúkötetet már egy hónappal a megjelenése után újra kellett nyomni? Egyebek mellett erről lesz szó.
