He has purposefully taken steps to get away from his family and friends, his associates, and any servants or other distractions that may cloud his judgment. The globe is a metaphor for where is mind is at. His eyes are not on the lands around him, which represent his community and potentially his estate. His eyes are on the horizon — but once again, look closely and he is not looking at the mountains or anything familiar. He is looking out at the empty sea and comparing his view to a giant map of everything that is.   This image is showing us someone whose awareness is far from the moment. This is the antithesis of the 8 of Coins, where a laborer happily focuses only on what is in front of him right here and right now. In that card, even the coins he just struck are a distant memory — even as they are within reach. That man only focuses on what is in front of him and what he is doing. The weakness of this card is being too detached from one's current environment. While this person is a visionary or an idea man — someone with great vision and intellectual capacity, this Sagittarian global perspective runs the risk of not seeing the trees right in front of him because his mind is on the forest at large.  This is a great card for big picture perspectives but it is horrible for paying attention to the here and now, and what needs to be done to pay the rent or feed your family tonight. This card only works when you have the time and resources to survive while you go on a mental vacation to put everything into perspective. His eyes are on the horizon — but once again, look closely and he is not looking at the mountains or anything familiar. He is looking out at the empty sea and comparing his view to a giant map of everything that is.  This image is showing us someone whose awareness is far from the moment. This is the antithesis of the 8 of Coins, where a laborer happily focuses only on what is in front of him right here and right now. In that card, even the coins he just struck are a distant memory — even as they are within reach. That man only focuses on what is in front of him and what he is doing.The weakness of this card is being too detached from one's current environment. While this person is a visionary or an idea man — someone with great vision and intellectual capacity, this Sagittarian global perspective runs the risk of not seeing the trees right in front of him because his mind is on the forest at large. This is a great card for big picture perspectives but it is horrible for paying attention to the here and now, and what needs to be done to pay the rent or feed your family tonight. What is going ON on our planet? This question is only going to get bigger and more confusing as Neptune in Pisces reaches 27 degrees starting in May 2023 and begins an ongoing square to the Galactic Center at 27 degrees Sagittarius until January 2025. Neptune in Pisces is unraveling Sagittarian themes, and also dissolving density and attachments that are shifting and leaving. It may feel like there is more “up in the air” at both a collective and individual level, especially if you personally have planets or points at 27 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces). Mercury turned retrograde on Dec. 29, 2022 and it will leave its shadow period on Feb. 6 at 24°21' Capricorn. Mercury's next retrograde period is April 21-May 14, 2023. [3:42] Just about an hour and a half after Mercury stations direct, on Jan. 18 at 6:44 AM PST, the Sun makes its annual conjunction with Pluto at 28°13' Capricorn. Personal freedom and creative expression, symbolized by the Sun, meet important challenges, especially in the professional realm. [6:13] The Sun enters Aquarius on Jan. 20 at 12:30 AM PST. Groundhog Day and Imbolc/St. Brigid's Day are celebrated during the Sun's Aquarius journey, which marks the midpoint between the Capricorn Solstice and Aries Equinox. [7:39] As the Sun is moving through Aquarius, we are asked to liberate ourselves from the constrictions that we place around ourselves. [10:13] Moon Report! The New Moon in Aquarius (Jan. 21 at 12:53 PM PST at 1°32' Aquarius) is on the Sabian symbol, 2 Aquarius, An unexpected thunderstorm. A suggestion for intention setting during this New Moon is to ask yourself, “What is it that I want to create for my legacy? How can I find the network of people who will help me accomplish this goal?” Take note that this lunation falls very close to Pluto (28°20' Capricorn). [12:36] This lunation also begins a two-and-a-half-year Lunar Phase Family Cycle. The First Quarter Moon of this cycle is on Oct. 21, 2023 (28°28' Capricorn); the Full Moon is on July 21, 2024 (29°08' Capricorn); the Last Quarter Moon is on April 20, 2025 (1°12' Aquarius). [15:15] Void-of-Course Moon periods (VOC). On Jan. 17, the Moon at 28°11' Scorpio makes a sextile aspect to Pluto at 6:27 AM PST. It is VOC for about three hours before entering Sagittarius at 9:33 AM PST. Consider any toxic emotions that need to be dispelled. [16:31] The Moon at 24°23' Sagittarius sextiles Saturn on Jan. 19 at 2:09 AM PST. It's VOC for about nine hours before it enters Capricorn at 11:11 AM PST. Which of the many Sagittarian arrows in your quiver are you ready to use? [17:34] On Jan. 21 at 7:52 AM PST, the Moon conjoins Pluto at 28°19' Capricorn, then is VOC for a little over two and a half hours before it enters Aquarius at 10:29 AM PST. Monthly accomplishments are up for review. Show some compassion for marks that were missed. [19:10] Venus conjoins Saturn at 24°47' Aquarius on Jan. 22 at 2:13 PM PST. Look to the house of your chart that contains 14°56' Taurus and any planets in your chart within 9°-19° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius. The veil between worlds is thin as the Day of the Dead eerily ushers in a month of revelations and reactivity. Mars turned retrograde on October 30th, coinciding with a rash of aggressive events.Total Lunar Eclipse occurs November 8, 2022 at 6:02 am on the East coast the Taurus Full Blood Moon Lunar eclipse occurs at 16 Degrees Taurus with the Sun at 16 degrees Scorpio. The day begins with moon in Taurus opposed Mercury in Scorpio (information will be messed up), and of course during a full moon the moon is opposed the sun.  But the Moon in Taurus is also conjunct Uranus in Taurus (chaotic transit), Moon is square Saturn in Aquarius (conflict), the Sun is conjunct Mercury in Scorpio, the Moon is opposed Venus in Scorpio, and Mercury is exactly opposed Uranus in Taurus.  This is going to be a complicated time.  Of course, I had to look up what the Sabian Symbol is for 16 degrees Taurus, the degree of this Full Moon and Uranus at this Lunar Eclipse: (TAURUS 16°): AN OLD TEACHER FAILS TO INTEREST HIS PUPILS IN TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE.KEYNOTE: The inadequacy of past knowledge in time of crisis.  The full moon eclipse occurs on election day in the U.S., so there will be some issues with elections around the country.  The Scorpionic Squeeze begins to ease by mid month as planets slip into Sagittarius. Venus slides into Sag on November 16 joined by Mercury on November 17th in the sky seeking sign of the Archer, shooting their arrows to brighter outcomes. Venusian sensitivities reawaken romance in Sagittarius, planning parties and other social soirees for the holiday season. Mercury moves into Sag, picking up positive vibes and enhancing brain waves in bright Sagittarian light. . And as the sun saunters into spontaneous, fun-seeking Sagittarius on November 22, doors open and you re-connect with the soul after slumbering in the scorpionic shadows.  The Sag cosmic party kicks off during new moon in Sagittarius on November 23.  The future looks so much brighter than it did a few weeks or months ago!On November 23rd, Jupiter turns direct. This change of direction can mark a turning of the corner for certain projects and relationships.  On November 23rd, the New Moon occurs in the sign of Sagittarius, stirring new possibilities and freedom. How can we better express ourselves in our relationships and work? What visions for your future need to be rekindled.  Time to plan those travels for 2023, as our inner adventurer awakens.    This new Moon occurs in the first degree of Sagittarius, so it is truly a time of new beginnings.
