"Easter Island Part 3: Mysteries and Updates“ Episode 155 In part 3 we will be discussing all the new theories and mysteries surrounding the island. We will look at the work of Thor Heyerdahl, Dr. Robert Schoch, Dr. Anthony Peratt, and we will look at all the mysteries like where did all the Rapa Nui people disappear to? Who were the Island’s earliest inhabitants and where were they from? What was the source of their mythology? Why are there still so many archeological mysteries to this day? Some of them landed in Micronesia, some in Melanesia, and some in Polynesia. Polynesia is a sub region of Oceania and is located to the east of Micronesia and Melanesia. Easter Island is the furthest east of all the Polynesian Islands. It is also one of the most remote places on the planet. The nearest islands are the Pitcairn Islands 1193 miles to the west and The Juan Fernandez Islands which are 1,756 miles to the east. The closest continental point to Easter Island is its home country of Chile which is about 2,300 miles away. Easter Island is about 64sq miles in size. This remote island would become home to the Rapa Nui’ people. The Island is most famous for the monoliths the Rapa Nui people carved called Moai. Easter Island got its name from the 1st recorded visitor who was a Dutch explorer named Jacob Roggeveen. He arrived on Easter Island on Sunday April 5th, 1722 which was Easter Sunday hence the name Easter Island. The Moai represent the Deified ancestors of the Rapa Nui people. It is said the dead ancestors have a symbolic relationship with the living and would assist them with the things they would need in life. In return they would secure a themselves a better place in the spirit realm. Almost all the Moai face inwards to observe their descendants while keeping their backs to the spirit realm. Ahu are the stone platforms that some of the Moai are erected on. Most of the Ahu are found along the coast and out of the 313 only 125 actually held Moai. Ahu Akivi features the only 7 Moai that face outward. These 7 Moai represent King Hotu Matu’a’s 7 scouts. As the legend goes Hau-Maka had a dream of an Island he called the “Center of the Earth”. When he woke from his dream he told King Hotu Matu’a of this mythical land. King Hotu Matu’a sent his 7 scouts from Hiva which is possibly modernday Marquesas Islands to find the Island. This is Coronavirus 411, the latest COVID-19 info and new hotspots… Just the facts… for Sunday April 26th, 2020. The global death toll has passed 200,000, as cases climb toward 3 million. Coronavirus Task Force member, Dr. Brix, told Fox News she expects the number of deaths to decrease rapidly by the end of May. The CDC adds 6 new symptoms to list of possible signs of the virus. They are: chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and difficulty breathing. Hawaii has extended their stay at home order through the end of May. California has canceled the state fair, which was set for mid-July, for the first time since World War II. Boeing will restart production at plants in Washington, Ohio and Pennsylvania. India reported its largest number of new daily cases, with just under 2,000. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will return to work on Monday, after recovering from COVID-19. After 6 weeks of a stay at home order, Spain is allowing children under 14 to play outside for an hour a day. Saudi Arabia will allow stores to open and movement outside the home from 9A-5P during Ramadan. Western Australia is relaxing some lockdown restrictions. With all of the speculation going around the interwebs right now about when Hollywood is going to roll camera again, I and the Optimizer coaching & mentorship community decided to have a frank conversation about when we honestly believe production will ramp up again - and more importantly, what will our jobs in post-production look like when that time comes? How important will it be to have remote workstations ready to go? What are the new skills that will make us hireable & desirable? They say people should avoid the area and lock their doors.Supt. Chris Leather later says officers arriving at the scene find “multiple casualties” both inside and outside of the home, but the shooter has vanished.Christine Mills says it was a terrifying night for the small town, which suddenly filled with armed officers patrolling the streets. In the morning, helicopters flew overhead searching for the suspect.The shooter’s whereabouts from midnight to around 8 a.m. on Sunday haven’t been determined.SUNDAY APRIL 198 a.m. RCMP say they are still on the scene and describe the investigation as an “active shooter situation.” They tell residents to stay in their homes.“You may not see the police, but we are there with you,” they say on Twitter.8:55 a.m. Police publicly identify 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman as the suspected gunman and release his photo.10:15 a.m. Police say Wortman may be wearing an RCMP uniform and be driving what appears to be an RCMP vehicle. They note the difference between his car and real RCMP vehicles is the number behind the rear passenger window.10:20 a.m. RCMP say Wortman is in the Central Onslow and Debert area. They urge people to stay inside and avoid the area.11 a.m. Police say Wortman was last seen travelling southbound on Highway 102 toward Halifax from the Brookfield area.11:20 a.m. RCMP say Wortman has changed vehicles and is now in a silver SUV — a Chevrolet Tracker.11:40 a.m. RCMP tweet that Wortman is now in custody. He was caught at a gas station in Enfield, N.S., where a body could be seen lying on the ground. A source familiar with the matter who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly later confirms to The Canadian Press that the suspect has died.4:40 p.m. The union that represents RCMP officers says one of its members was killed in the rampage. It says another officer was injured.6 p.m. RCMP hold a news conference and confirm that Const. Heidi Stevenson, a 23-year veteran of the force, was killed in the course of the manhunt. They say a second police officer was wounded and is recovering. This is Coronavirus 411, the latest COVID-19 info and new hotspots… Just the facts… for Sunday April 19th, 2020. Demonstrations against local social distancing restrictions were held this weekend in Arizona, Texas, California, Maryland, Utah, Washington and Colorado. Speaker Pelosi told ABC News they are close to a bipartisan deal to replenish money for the small business loan program. The Governors of Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky will work together to reopen the Midwest regional economy, reports CNN. The One World Together at Home concert, has raised over $127 million in commitments for COVID-19 relief.Iran will keep mosques and holy shrines closed for at least the first two weeks of Ramadan. South Korea reported a single digit increase in new cases on Sunday. Australia is calling for an “independent review” in to the origins of the pandemic. Israel has slowly begun to ease lockdown restrictions. The New Zealand Cabinet will meet Monday to discuss easing some restrictions. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
