Während ein Großteil unserer Hörer:innen aktuell vermutlich auf eine andere Review hinfiebert, konnten wir dieses Release auf keinen Fall an uns vorbeiziehen lassen: Die Rede ist vom neuen Drangsal-Album »Exit Strategy«. Seit Veröffentlichung der ersten Single »Urlaub von mir« warteten wir sehnsüchtigst auf das neue Projekt des Indie-Posterboys und - nunja - zumindest leicht erfolgreicheren Podcasters. Jetzt ist es da und bewegt sich, wie die erste Auskopplung bereits angedeutet hat, noch eindeutiger und vor allem selbstbewusster auf eingängigen Pop-Pfaden als der Vorgänger »Zores«. Es wäre jedoch fatal, sich von den zwischen hauchzart und mitgröhlfähig variierenden Ohrwurm-Melodien blenden zu lassen, denn unter der Fassade rumort es gewaltig. Wie Album-Cover und -Titel unmissverständlich zu erkennen geben, ist das Ringen mit und die Flucht vor sich selbst DAS Kern-Motiv der 11 Songs, welche dieses sehr unterschiedlich behandeln, ohne dabei jemals zu weit vom Pfad der »Exit Strategy« abzukommen. Was genau die Tracks darüber hinaus verbindet, wie sich der Genre-Mix des Albums jeweils als Drangsal-Fan und erstmaliger Album-Hörer anfühlt und ob es an seine beiden Vorgänger herankommt - all das hört ihr in unserer ausführlichen Track-by-Track-Review zu »Exit Strategy«!
