Biweekly Podcast Talking about Video games, the gaming industry, and more.
Christian, Jason, Josh, and Corey are back and ready for the biggest episode ever. They discuss more drama in Warner Bros DC land, including The Hollywood Reporter's bombshell article about Wonder Woman 3 being cancelled plus James Gunn's response. They also share reactions to trailers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and Indiana Jones 5. PLUS: reviews of The Callisto Protocol video game, Violent Night, and Willow episode 1.
This week Gareth, Justin, and Michael at Skewed and Reviewed look at Creation, PAX West, and pending convention news. They discuss the new images from the Alien TV series and discuss the future of the film franchise. They preview the upcoming Halloween events at Disneyland California Adventure, Knotts, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld. They then close out the segment with a look at the news on no Fan Dome for Warner Bros/DC and how this effects the optics of their recent issues.
Well if you were thinking, "Oh yeah news and reviews is all well and good but will you ever just make an episode which is purely a man reading numbers from a spreadsheet?" then you're in luck! This is truly the darkest timeline, Alex spends an hour trying to work out if 'Batgirl' should have been cancelled by reading out budgets and grosses for Warner Bros DC comics properties since the turn of the century. What answer does he come to? Does Andy regret not doing research? Does Andy realise this would be the podcast if he wasn't on it?
Hey yall, quick run down of stuff this week. Obviously, as I'm sure you can tell, we talk about Marvel's new "I Am Groot" shorts. After that, we briefly chat about the standing of Warner Bros/DC films, and some talk about Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon
Jason, Josh, and Corey accidently do a geek dive on the streaming wars between Disney and Netflix. They also discuss the latest Warner Bros/DC film news, including updates on Gal Gadot and The Flash. They also do reviews of DC League of Super Pets + Prey + The Sandman Episode 1 + 2.

Welcome To The Madness!! The show hits a small milestone this week as Morgan and Jeannine celebrate ten episodes of Monday Madness by discussing the dying breed of "Movie Star" and asking "What makes an actor a movie star?" There's also a whole bunch of confusion surrounding Discovery buying Warner Bros and what that may mean for the future of that studio's work, particularly surrounding DC Comics movies after it was announced that the completed Batgirl movie will not be released anywhere! They also give their thoughts on the trailer for the upcoming Star Wars show, ANDOR, the new Predator movie, PREY, the teaser for JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX and pay their respects to few truly special people from the entertainment world who have recently passed away before rounding the show off with a movie star game! Batman is arguably the most popular superhero in the world. The DC comic book character has appeared in countless adaptations over the years ranging from film, television, and video games. In the past decade alone, the character has been played and voiced by several actors. But, fans and critics will point towards one adaptation as the most definitive version of the caped crusader - Kevin Conroy's 1993 version of the Dark Knight in the animated film, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. The film is part of the critically acclaimed animated universe created by Bruce Timm, popularly called the Timmverse. It was also the first Warner Bros DC animated film to get a theatrical release. It features an original story with a few plot lines taken from the Batman: Year One and Batman: Year Two graphic novels. It is set in two time periods. One is set in the early days of Bruce Wayne donning the cape and cowl as an inexperienced Batman, where he is engaged to marry Andrea Beaumont. The second timeline features Batman at the peak of his powers, investigating a new villain named Phantasm, years after Andrea broke off their engagement. The narrative is a psychological thriller in a noir-detective setting, which also explores Batman's mental makeup after suffering several tragedies in his life. The film was lauded for its writing, animation style, music, and performances by its iconic voice cast, which featured Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamil as the Joker. Writer Paul Dini was also praised for how various themes such as trauma, revenge, and death were explored in the film. While Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight is revered as the greatest comic book adaptation of all time, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is the most authentic take on Bruce Wayne/Batman. Watch this hidden gem exclusively on Hungama.Well, that's the end of today's OTTplay Lost and Found podcast. I shall be back again with a new episode until then it's your host Nikhil signing off.

Ever since the quite indifferent response to it's release in 2017, Justice League has been plagued by one question... WHERE IS THE SNYDER CUT?? The fabled version lauded by original director, Zack Snyder, who unfortunately had to leave the project due to a family emergency and many fans on various social media platforms since Zack himself has spent a lot of time telling people what his version contained, what was cut from the cinematic release and how much better his version would have been. This has led to a very toxic surge of fans - especially on Twitter - led by Zack himself pushing the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut hashtag for years in order to pressure Warner Bros/DC into releasing this version. Well that time has come as HBO have confirmed that in 2021 they will be screening this version. Now renamed as "Zack Snyder's Justice League", it's set to be screened a 4 hour miniseries rather than an actual film and they're putting up to $30M in to complete the editing... even though Zack has stated many times that the film was completely finished. Hmmmm. Well with this being such a huge talking area in our arena we had to talk about this didn't we? Not just the release itself but the movement behind it and the possibily ramifications going forward. Is this a good step for loyal fans or a really bad step for entitled people who aren't getting exactly what they want?

Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, a w polskiej wersji Ptaki Nocy, to znakomity komiksowy seans. A dla was spoilerowo ten film omawiają: ja, czyli Jacek 2.0 a.k.a. Fox took advantage of the Chinese New Year to push Alita into South East Asia. This one doesn’t open in North America until next weekend, and so far reviews on the James Cameron- produced pic are mixed. But the play here is international, particularly Asia given the manga source material. Fox is happy with the results which are from just 11 markets, especially in Korea where the film came in at No. 2 amid strong local competition. Overall, Alita is outpacing Maze Runner (+23%) and Ready Player One (+5%) in like for like markets and at today’s rates. Lego blocked together $18.1M in 63 markets, including majors the UK, Brazil and Spain. Somewhat surprisingly, Lego is not as well-known a brand overseas, but has certainly lifted its profile through the four movies WB has released in the past few years. Fox also hit a new milestone in Japan this weekend as Bohemian Rhapsody crossed $100M. Stay home and watch all of this unfold on the internet. Warner Bros got me hyped! This week: Squad goals! And no we're not talking Taylor Swift! Your favorite movie critics discuss the Warner Bros/DC hype beast, Suicide Squad. Audy struggled with the disjointed film and internal decision-making turmoil that created the final cut between David Ayer and Warner Bros., while Elvin gave the film an unprecedented rating from the strong leads of Will Smith and Margot Robbie. Also, the fellas bring on their friend and fellow cinephile, Bryant Foster, to discuss if Suicide Squad delivered the anticipatory hype, what the next step for this franchise is, and where the hell the artist formally known as Joker was in the whole movie.
