Welcome to another episode of IMWK! There is one word that has been buzzing through the news the last few months, a word other than 'pandemic' or 'coronavirus'...that's right we are talking about 'crypto' or professionally known as Cryptocurrency. In this episode, I give my best attempt to take the 'tech heavy' verbiage of cryptocurrency out, and break down the basics of what it is, how it works, and why it's important. This isn't an episode recommending which crypto to invest in, and I am not affiliated with any currencies. My hope is that I bring clarity to what cryptocurrency is and how it can be useful in the future.Thank you for stopping by, and I'll see you next week. For the Wealthfit.com article click here:https://wealthfit.com/articles/cryptocurrency-basics/For the YouTube episode by 99bitcoins.com, click here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41JCpzvnn_0&t=578s Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/IMWK)

We are back today with another awesome Therapy Session which we recorded right after we finished creating a training course over at WealthFit. Their process for creating courses is amazing, and one of these days we’ll make a behind the scenes video for you. This segways into our focus of creating more content for other platforms, such as courses. Also on today’s show, we discuss some things that have changed since our last therapy session episode, some areas in our business that will be given less focus and where we are headed going forward. We also had some a-ha moments lately, which has helped to really zone in on our future business plans and helped our creativity to really take off. We talk about our affiliate marketing strategies, what most affiliate marketers are doing wrong, and how to set yourself apart from the rest, to build up the most value and have a supportive, tuned-in audience for the long term. After you’ve soaked all this in, be sure to check out our shows with Dustin Mathews and Robert Farrington for even more insight on how to scale your business and capture an audience that loves your content. “We masterminded a few days ago about how can we make this podcast even better, how can we make it more valuable to the listener, how can we provide even more freely and make it so people listening would go ‘Damn, I would have paid for this information’. Special guest Dustin Mathews from WealthFit has seen people MAKE a lot of money in the Speaking & Marketing world, but KEEPING that money is another story - they usually don’t. Yes, there are shooting stars that burn brightly for awhile and they burnout too. It’s good to ask yourself, from time to time, whether you want to stay on the path you’re traveling or if, like Dustin was, you’re addicted to the search for a BIG payday that never comes. Don’t simply follow a primrose path to the detriment of real wealth in your life. Make sure you create sustainable results for yourself and your family. Dustin has repurposed his life to make more time for family and the things that really matter. And he hasn’t neglected Money either because money is an important part of Wealth. Hear how Dustin has used his whole life policy + a lesson he learned that could save you money on your next vehicle purchase. Our episode with Dustin Mathews of WealthFit was recorded on location at his office in San Diego where he’s got an amazing podcast and video setup. Dustin has had an interesting path and you’ll hear how he found his way into a variety of ventures sometimes by accident, often times being an inverted newbie, but was still able to come out ahead by talking to the right people and using what knowledge he had in marketing at the time. You’ll also hear Dustin’s take on finding key team members and the important questions he asks them to make sure they are a good fit. Many agents don’t start out in real estate and have to go through the process of reinventing themselves and starting from scratch, and others are trying to reinvent themselves within the industry. What do we need to reinvent ourselves successfully? How does getting out of our comfort zone help our growth? How should we deal with disruptions? In this episode, Dustin Mathews discusses the role reinventing ourselves plays in our success, as well as how we can set ourselves apart with creative gifting. You should be disrupting yourself like big companies do so that you can get to that next level in your business. -Dustin Mathews Takeaways + Tactics The most important thing to have when reinventing ourselves is people who support us. We need a person or a team to guide us or simply listen to us so that we can be accountable and get out of our own heads. In order to grow, we have to step outside of our comfort zone. When we do, it opens up new opportunities. We need to not only embrace disruptions but run towards them. By doing so we get more familiar with dealing with change, and we become better at it. On this episode Dustin Mathews explains which elements we need in order to go through the process of reinventing ourselves successfully. We also discussed how sending creative and thoughtful gifts to prospects and clients can make you stand out from everyone else. We also shared insights on: Why we need people who support and guide us How stepping out of our comfort zone helps us grow The importance of embracing disruptions Reinventing ourselves and stepping out of our comfort zone is a part of life that we all need to go through. When we reinvent ourselves we need to be able to slow down and have a grounded person or team of people that can support and guide us. In order to grow we must embrace disruptions so that we can get better and better at dealing with this inevitable part of life. By reinventing ourselves and facing disruptions, we give ourselves room to grow and become successful. In this WTFFF?! episode Tom & Tracy answer a technical and practical question from a listener who prints the same type of objects over and over again. The question is: Why does a part that I have printed regularly and successfully over a long period of time all of a sudden have problems when I go and print it? That always surprises me. We’ll get a print off the printer, and there are gaps and holes and things. But we just printed this, and everything seems to be working, but all of a sudden there is a problem. Or something doesn’t form properly. There are several reasons why this can happen. We will run through the three most typical reasons as to why? It is no secret that we use 3D printing in our business, and have been printing our original product designs on our own 3D printers. As we prepare to bring some of those products to market, we have been searching for a service company to expand our printing capacity as needed. In this WTFFF?! episode Tom and Tracy interview David Feeney, CEO and founder of SD3D, a service business that has gone from a garage startup in late 2012 to a legitimate short run production facility today. This interview is a great case study in what it takes to start a 3D print service business. David has experienced challenges along the way, optimizing the process of sending prints to one of the machines in the “farm,” and customizing the hardware of the machines to perform as needed in a production environment. As a mechanical engineer, David has even added more customized sensors to his printers to make them more reliable, and drive the failure rates down to percentages in the low single digits. SD3D has learned that they need to reduce the human labor in their processes in order to keep costs low, requiring one person to run and maintain as many as six machines. SD3D has a very unique pricing model that is a combination of a membership fee, and a price per part based on volume. The membership fee offsets the cost of adding new machines to keep up with demand, and keeps the cost per part lower. If you do not have a need for regular or continuing production parts, you can pay a higher part cost and avoid the membership fee. In yesterday’s Podcast with Maria Speth we had a great discussion that shed a lot of light on how current US Intellectual Property laws apply to 3D Print digital content. In this WTFFF?! episode Tom and Tracy ask themselves a related question, “Should 3DP Companies Lobby Congress to update IP laws to apply better to modern technology, especially the 3D Printing industry?” It may take a long time, and significant investment, but the music industry did the same thing when radio was invented to make sure laws protected music authors from having their work distributed for free. Can you copy a 3D print file without violating Patent or Copyright law? If someone makes a slight change to your original design file, would that new file no longer be protected by the original Copyright? A recent decision in the Federal Court battle between Align Technologies, makers of Invisalign 3D Printed clear braces, and direct competitor Clearcorrect, has established (for now) if digital files, 3D CAD files, are considered “articles” within US Patent law. While this case has raised awareness for an important issue in the 3D Printing industry, it actually will not have as much impact on 3D print file rights and protection as it may first appear. In this WTFFF?! episode Tom and Tracy interview Intellectual Property Attorney Maria Speth, partner in the law firm of Jayburg Wilk, about the Invisalign case, the differences between Patents and Copyrights, and how you can best protect your 3D Print digital files. What are some best practices for protecting your 3D print files? How do you obtain a copyright? Do you need to register that Copyright? Once we started trying to print with a two-color machine, we quickly began to understand why there were so few such machines available on the market. Most dual extrusion 3D printers have two nozzles that move together in the same plane, causing prints to fail more often than not. We gave it s serious effort over a period of nine months before we gave up. Earlier this summer a 3D print colleague of ours, who has been a guest on WTFFF?!, Brandon Davis, introduced us to a distributor named US Cutter, and the Builder Dual 3D Printer. This printer is very unique in that it is a two-color printer, but has only one nozzle! US Cutter was so convinced that the Builder was much better than other two-color printers, that they agreed to submit it for a review. So for about two months now we have been working with the Builder Dual 3D Printer. In this episode of WTFFF?! we interview Les Lewis and Sean Weaver of US Cutter, and discuss our experience with the printer.
