Hello, I'm Jeff Shepard. Welcome back. We have reached part 9 of 10 in this series. Over the past several episodes, we have traced one single lie from the Garden of Eden through every layer of deception that has entered the church. You will be like God. We saw how Helena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey laid the occult foundation. We examined Azusa Street and the Ladder Rain movement, where signs and wonders were mixed with chaos, extra-biblical revelations, and the elevation of man. Then we heard modern teachers openly declare that we are little gods, that Jesus was not fully God until his baptism or resurrection, and that we can ascend to the same level. Today, we pull it all together and look at the modern expression, the Seven Mountain Mandate and the not-so-secret New World Order Church. The Seven Mountain Mandate teaches that the church must take dominion over seven spheres, or mountains, of society, the government, media, education, business, family, religion, and arts and entertainment, and build the kingdom of God on earth before Jesus can return. Lance Wallnau, one of the leading voices of this teaching, explains it this way. There are seven molders of culture. He who could take those kingdoms could take the harvest of nations. These seven fields of influence can literally shape the agenda that forms nations. Johnny Enloe, in his book The Seven Mountain Prophecy, takes it even further. The father says to the son, once you have purchased redemption, you will remain up there as the head and your body on earth will crush your enemies. Your body, in fact, will not be a beautiful bride until she has accomplished this by crushing Satan. This is dominionism and Kingdom Now theology in action. The church is called to conquer and rule the nation so Jesus can finally return. It sounds spiritual, it sounds victorious, but it directly contradicts the clear teaching of Scripture. Jesus himself said in Matthew 24, 4-5, See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in my name saying, I am the Christ, and they will mislead many. The Apostle Paul warned in 1 Timothy 4-1, but the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. And in 2 Timothy 4, 3-4, For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. Revelation makes it plain, Jesus brings his kingdom when he returns. We are not called to build it for him. We are called to be faithful witnesses, to make disciples of individuals, and to live as salt and light in a fallen world until he comes. Even in the middle of all this mixture, God is still there for anyone who is genuinely seeking the real Jesus, the eternal Son of God who became flesh, died for our sins, rose again, and is coming back as King. He meets sincere seekers wherever they are. But we are commanded to test everything. We cannot accept teachers who deny the deity of Christ, who call us little gods, or who say we must conquer the nations before Jesus returns. The focus must remain on the unchanging word of God. Be a Berean. Search the scriptures daily. Do not let anyone, no matter how famous or how many miracles they claim to pull you away from the truth that Jesus is Lord, fully God, and fully man, and that salvation is found in Him alone. The phrase “Christ is King” is absolutely true when understood in its proper biblical setting. Jesus Christ is Israel's Messiah, David's greater Son, the rightful heir to the throne, and the One who will return at the Second Advent to rule this world with a rod of iron. The kingdoms of this world will become His, Jerusalem will be the city of the great King, and the nations will one day bow before Him whether they want to or not. But for those of us who are born again, we have been put into the body of Christ who is our Saviour, Redeemer and Friend. We will stand with Him on ‘that day' when He becomes KING OF KINGS and inherits the kingdom prepared for Him from the foundation of the world.“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” Colossians 1:18 (KJB)On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, the modern “Christ Is King” movement, when connected to Christian Nationalism, is not merely a group of people saying something biblically true. It is often operating from a badly mixed doctrinal framework that blends kingdom-now theology, political dominion, Roman Catholic social order, Protestant reconstructionism, and nationalist identity politics into one confused religious-political package. Rightly divided, the problem is simple. They are trying to take language that belongs to Israel's prophetic kingdom program and force it into the Church Age, then use it to sanctify earthly political power. Jesus Christ is King. No Bible believer disputes that. He is the promised King of Israel, the Son of David, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, and the One who will return to this earth to sit upon the throne of His father David. But that kingdom is not being established now through America, Rome, Washington, political movements, conservative activism, or religious nationalism. Where the ‘Christ Is King' movement goes wrong is that it often takes a true prophetic title of Christ and turns it into a present-tense political weapon. It becomes less about the gospel of the grace of God and more about asserting religious identity, reclaiming national power, confronting perceived enemies, and building a “Christian civilization.” That is not Paul's doctrine for the Body of Christ. Paul does not present Jesus Christ to the Church primarily as our political King. He presents Him as our Saviour, our Head, our Redeemer, our Life, and our Blessed Hope. Today we show you the heresy of the corrupt Christian Nationalism and Dominion Theology movements that wants an earthly kingdom now, without an heavenly King to physically rule over it. They see themselves as the king, and that's a problem.

The true power of the church has never been in political influence but in faithful witness. The early Christians did not take over Rome by climbing seven mountains. They turned the world upside down by proclaiming Christ, loving their neighbors, and even laying down their lives as martyrs.Dominion Theology is attractive because it promises glory without suffering, victory without the cross, and power without humility. But Jesus told us plainly in Mark 8:34, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” The kingdom comes not through us conquering but through Christ reigning, and through His people bearing witness in weakness, in holiness, and in hope.So let us be clear: the church is not called to establish dominion over the world but to announce the dominion of Christ, who already reigns. He is seated at the right hand of the Father. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him. Our task is not to build His throne but to proclaim His gospel until He returns.

Mary welcomes back author, speaker and blogger Jonathan Brentner whose latest book, "A Lavish Feast", brings together Proverbs and prophecy, and the hope we have of the soon return of Christ for His church. Watching prophecy unfold is fascinating these days. Sometimes a foot is on the accelerator, and other times, we seem to be on "pause" as events play out. Meanwhile, it behooves the church to never stop studying the Bible - and not just prophecy passages, but God's nature as well, and the over-arching view from 10,000 feet.  How does God's plan of the ages speak to us from outside of time, space, and matter? We seek wisdom about so many passages in Scripture, but do we seek wisdom about prophecy? God is a giver of wisdom, and liberally. He already has told us via Abraham in Genesis 18 that He does not judge the righteous with the wicked. So instead of pet doctrines and dangerous teachings such as Replacement Theology and Dominion Theology, why not ask God what HE thinks, and proceed according to His revealed Word? Where is the fear of the Lord in this area, and does anyone tremble at His Word (Isaiah 66)? A very insightful look at where wisdom and prophecy intersect in the heart of the Lord. A DAY is coming when Jerusalem becomes “a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples.” This is a prophecy of the Day of the Lord, or the Day of Yahweh, which culminates at Armageddon. Zechariah saw the coming of Messiah, and the key verse in our view is Zechariah 12:10: “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.” In other words, on that day, when Jerusalem is the scene of the final battle of the age, those fighting for Jerusalem will realize that “him whom they have pierced” is the One they were waiting for. Dominion Theology is a popular belief held among those who believe that man gave up his authority to Satan in the garden, but now, we have authority back through Christ to rule and to bring heaven to earth. Clint Heacock was raised in a Fundamentalist Christian group. As a young man he studied theology and Bible studies in various academic settings and completed his PHD in 2011 with his dissertation being a rhetorical-critical study of the book of Ezekiel. He is a former pastor of an Evangelical church and served in full time ministry.  He moved to the UK and started a podcast called 'The Preacher's Forum'.
