And just as leaders line up to back it, reports say the Trump White House is balking — raising “market stability” fears and casting doubt on G7 unity. What's the plan, what's the pushback, and can Washington block Brussels? And of course, the big question, I why Trump would do this, when the plan would have a significant impact on Ukraine's resilience, potentially turning the tide of the war. The plan, plain and simple. Here's the elevator pitch. The EU doesn't confiscate Russia's immobilized central-bank assets. Instead, it uses the cash stuck at Euroclear in Belgium (as Russian securities matured) to buy zero-coupon Commission bonds, and on that basis extend a €140 billion, 0% loan to Ukraine — repayable only when Russia pays reparations. It's ingenious and gets around many of the concerns that timid lawyer types had about simply handing the money over to Ukraine. These may include: - **Segregation of Duties:** Ensuring that no single employee has control over multiple aspects of financial transactions (e.g., someone handling cash should not be responsible for reconciling the ledger). - **Regular Audits:** Conducting surprise audits and thorough annual reviews to catch discrepancies early. - **Inventory Management:** Using automated systems to track inventory and spot unusual fluctuations in stock levels. - **Bank Reconciliation:** Assigning bank reconciliation duties to someone outside of the person handling deposits. - **Transparent Payroll:** Having a separate, trusted party regularly review payroll and expense reports.   Testing your practice's internal controls without actually attempting fraud can help you spot weaknesses before they become a real problem. After raising concerns about the practices at her hospital's gender clinic, Jillian was suspended and is now embroiled in legal battles that could redefine workplace protections for those with gender-critical beliefs. Jillian has launched legal action claiming political discrimination in the workplace due to her belief in biological reality, that people can't change sex, in the hope of achieving a Forstater decision in Australia. This court case will occur in early 2025. She is also awaiting an employment commission outcome as to whether she is officially a ‘whistleblower'.
