The perception in our society is we value freedom and independence over other virtues like kindness. While kindness can appear to be a sign of weakness, genuine kindness is not weak. Kindess considers others first and takes strength in character by requiring integrity, patience and above all self-sacrifice. Dr. Richard Kyte, Director Endowed Professor, Servant Leadership at Viterbo University shares how small acts of kindness can be very powerful.

Send us a textToday I want to share something that kind of irks me a little bit. It just rubs me the wrong way and I need to do some digging into why it bothers me, but it does. Yes, not a lot, not like it's really super annoying, but it's one of those things that just goes, makes me go, uh, really like, come on.
Why Follow-Ups Are Actually An Act of KindnessThis episode is an excerpt from our Premium Ghostwriting Academy Hot Seat live session, where we discuss why follow-ups are more than just a sales tactic—they're a way to help clients make decisions. Many people hesitate to follow up because they don't want to seem pushy, but in reality, most clients are just busy or unsure about the next step. We break down how to follow up in a way that adds value, why repetition builds trust, and how to position yourself as a trusted expert rather than just another service provider. Whether you're writing email courses, marketing your services, or selling a product, this episode will help you rethink how you approach follow-ups.(0:00 - 1:38) – Introduction and discussion on explaining the value of educational email courses(1:39 - 3:49) – Why reframing a client's question is more effective than just answering it(3:50 - 5:57) – How follow-ups help clients recognize their own challenges and make better decisions(5:58 - 8:12) – The role of mistakes and objections in structuring effective email courses(8:13 - 10:24) – Why practicing on yourself builds trust and credibility with clients(10:25 - 13:02) – How marketing is about experimenting, learning, and sharing insights(13:03 - 16:00) – The value of persistence and why follow-ups help clients, not pressure them-------✍️ Want to start writing online? Welcome to another episode of The Sisterhood of Sweat! I'm so excited to have the talented actor Nambi Nylumbi join us today. Nambi is best known for his roles on shows like Night Court, The Good Fight, and Mike & Molly. But his journey to success is truly inspiring. He's proof that with hard work, talent, and a little bit of luck, you can achieve your dreams. I know our listeners are going to be uplifted and motivated by his story. So without further ado, let's dive into my conversation with the one and only Nyambi Nyambi! Questions Asked: Are you still living in New York City? An elderly veteran, Donald, aged 90, faced financial difficulties while caring for his wife with dementia. He attempted to sell his jewelry at a pawn shop in New Hampshire to cover rent costs. Jenelle Marie, an employee at the shop, noticed his plight and, along with her fiancé, launched a GoFundMe campaign to support him. A TikTok video showcasing the first donation of $1,300 attracted significant attention. The campaign soon gained momentum, resulting in over $434,000 in donations and numerous birthday wishes and gifts for Donald. This situation highlights the need for improved support for veterans.Learn more on this news visit us at: https://greyjournal.net/ Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Imagine finishing a long day's work and then choosing to serve others. That's exactly what James, a pizza delivery driver, did when he noticed an elderly customer's overgrown yard. After delivering their pizza, he returned with his lawn care tools to tidy up their property. This act of kindness mirrors the love God calls us to extend to our neighbors. It's a powerful reminder that we're often placed exactly where we need to be to make a difference, just as God intends.
Send us a Text Message.ReThink Podcast Digital MarketplaceReThink WebsiteYoutube Channel"Imagine how far one simple smile can travel—reaching not just the person next to you, but potentially hundreds or even thousands of others. Discover the powerful ripple effect of a single smile and how you can spread positivity far and wide with just one small act."The act of smiling has significant scientific effects on both the person who smiles and those who observe it. Here are some key findings from research on the impact of smiling on others:1. Contagious Effect:Mirror Neurons: When you smile, the person observing you is likely to smile back due to the activation of mirror neurons in their brain. These neurons fire when we perform an action and when we observe someone else performing the same action, making smiling contagious.Mood Elevation: As a result, when someone smiles at you, it often triggers an automatic smile in response, which can elevate your mood and reduce stress, even if you were not feeling happy initially.2. Social Bonding and Trust:Increased Trust: Smiling is associated with friendliness and approachability. Studies have shown that people are more likely to trust and cooperate with someone who is smiling. This is because a smile signals positive intent and warmth, making social interactions smoother and more enjoyable.Stronger Social Connections: Regularly smiling can strengthen relationships by fostering feelings of connection and goodwill. It acts as a non-verbal cue that we are open to interaction and willing to engage positively with others.3. Perceived Attractiveness:Enhanced Attractiveness: People who smile are often perceived as more attractive and likable. Research has demonstrated that a smiling face is more appealing and approachable than a neutral or frowning expression. This perception can influence social dynamics, including forming friendships, romantic connections, and professional relationships.4. Positive Emotional Influence:Mood Boosting: Seeing someone smile can boost the mood of the observer by triggering the release of feel-good neurotransmitters like dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin in the brain. These chemicals help to alleviate stress and create a sense of happiness and relaxation.Reduced Anxiety: Observing a smile can also help reduce anxiety and tension in social situations. It provides reassurance and can defuse potentially stressful interactions by creating a more positive and relaxed atmosphere.5. Social Influence and Cooperation:Encouraging Positive Behavior: Smiling can influence the behavior of others by encouraging cooperation and helpfulness. When people see a smile, they are more likely to engage in prosocial behaviors, such as offering help or Support the Podcast: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1590358/support Closing of ReThinkBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched! An Act of Kindness Shown to a Cripple | How to Build a Kingdom #4 | Acts 4:5–37 | Jack Groblewski
It's been awhile since I shared something from Melanie Korach (@melanie_korach) and today I found a great reminder for all of us. Here is what she said: “Everyone is fighting a battle, and a little kindness makes these battles easier to fight. For fighting battles alone is never easy, but every act of kindness is a reminder that someone is not alone after all. It could be the one thing that encourages them to hold on and keep going.” Just about every day I see and hear examples of people putting hatred, negativity, anger, etc., out into the world and I try so hard to not let that affect me. It's a reminder for all of us to put a little more care and positive intention out there into the world. I am reminded again, that every single human being that has ever walked this earth, has had to deal with problems, setbacks, adversity, pain, etc. It goes a long way if we can remember that as we go about living every day. It's the little things in life that many times mean the most. Bryan Driscoll @MotivatedLeads knows that better than anyone. In his troubled teenage years, Bryan drifted and became homeless. But one small act of kindness from a caring family set his life back on track in a positive trajectory. At the time, Bryan himself didn't realize how big of an impact this small act of kindness would have on his life. But years later, Bryan wanted to repay this family. After being unable to track them down, he decided to pay it forward. Bryan thought about "What does it mean to pay it forward?" He didn't have the means to do grand gestures, so he decided to model what the family did for him.Bryan shares stories of how his small acts of kindness made national news and helped people in need. And how his small acts of kindness moved those he helped to pay it forward as well. A movement began by small actions. This just goes to show that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is wasted.Listen to Bryan share stories and insight on how your simple acts can affect others, and how small acts can greatly change your personal life for the positive as well. Of course Brett shares a few Bible verses about being thankful for the little things. They also talk about the pros and cons of doing small acts of kindness anonymously.
