NYCFC dominated the first half with 10 shots to TFC's three, including the best chances of the half, but Alex Bono came through with some timely saves to keep the teams level going into the locker room. Gary Mackay-Steven proved a particular threat in the first half, going just wide on a 26th-minute shot, and then setting up Alexander Ring for a 42nd-minute attempt that Bono was able to wrap up. The game continued similarly in the second half, with NYCFC looking the stronger side and getting the better chances. As in the first half, however, neither team was able to break through. Both teams brought on impact subs late, including Heber, whose 65th-minute shot on goal was the most dangerous chance of the half for the hosts. TFC had an enticing 82nd-minute chance on a Pozuelo free kick, which Omar Gonzalez headed just wide of target. The match took a sober turn in the 84th minute when Heber went down with an apparent knee injury and had to be stretchered off the field. Then, just shortly after play resumed, subs involved themselves in the storyline, as Justin Morrow fired a shot that pinged off Nicolas Acevedo's outstretched arm. That led to the penalty shout, which Pozuelo made good on. At the final whistle, NYCFC took all three points in Foxborough. Hello soccer fans! Thanks for stopping by and giving us a listen. In this episode, you'll get a recap of the scores around Major League Soccer along with the latest news from the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup (USOC) and the Canadian Championship. We also analyze Minnesota United FC's possible play-off push, discuss Alphonso Davies' record setting transfer to Bayern Munich, and Mike shares his stories about attending Chicago vs. TFC. Specifically, the hosts break down the final four teams of the USOC and their picks to win. They also take a detailed look at why Portland Timbers filed a protest against LAFC for using too many international players in their quarterfinal match-up. Will Bob Bradley take another expansion team to the finals? You know the press would love to write that story line! Also, the hosts still think the Canadian Championship is Toronto FC's to lose. With their starters getting healthy, they could be poised for a surprising second half of the MLS season. Did you see how MNUFC dismantled LAFC? Our hosts did, but they don't want to make too much of a big deal about beating a depleted LAFC team, especially when 4 of the next 5 games are against Western Conference playoff teams. However, the Loons have all the pieces, starting with Superman Quintero, to make a playoff push. Finally, Mike shares his experience at Toyota Park in Bridgeview as he and his wife (who is a big fan of Alex Bono) saw the Fire host TFC. When he was not exchanging pleasantries with Jordan Hamilton, Mike was learning information concerning the health of TFC's starting goal keeper. @lagoalkeepingacademy @aviatasports for q's ! In this episode Trevor and Michael discuss the art of "holding the line" vs "coming out" on a flighted ball or driven ground ball. The two open up on why youth keepers are so afraid to stay on their line and prep for a reaction save; when it's better to hold; and how we can help youth keepers understand proper decision making. Next they talk about Trevor's playing career; and his transition into starting Aviata. Why he loves gloves, and the future of the company. Next they get into the week in goalkeeping; discussing the two big derby's in Europe over the weekend (Manchester and Madrid) and why De Gea and Oblak are at the top of their game. They venture across the pond to geek out on Tim Melia's record setting performance against LA Galaxy; and Alex Bono's incredible performance for Toronto in CCL against Club America at Azteca They finish the show discussing why Karius should have let his CB's clear the ball he punched into the ground; and his future with Liverpool.

A 0-0 draw in Columbus leaves everything up for grabs next week when the return leg comes back to Toronto. It was a tight affair in Ohio, with Toronto playing a tactical and disciplined match that almost came undone in the final minutes. Alex Bono once again saved the day to keep the Reds in a good position and with Giovinco and Jozy Altidore set to return they should be looking at the next match with confidence.

Toronto FC take care of business away to the New York Red Bulls in a huge 2-1 win to put them in the driver's seat ahead of the home leg. It was another professional win, that still left room for improvement, as the usual suspects of Jozy Altidore, Giovinco and Victor Vasquez created the chances, while Chris Mavinga and Alex Bono were essential in keeping them out. It is a buoyant result against a top team who could have been the bogeyman, but there is now confidence not just ahead of Sunday, but that the team is playing at the level to keep pushing towards the MLS Cup Final.

The Reds looked absolutely brutal in a calamitous display against Montreal, who punished them over and over for a 5-3 result. It was a disaster from the get go as Alex Bono hoofed the ball off Piatti's back into goal and it never looked good from there. Yes, Tosaint Ricketts scored a brace, but getting back into the game from allowing five goals is next to impossible. Was it a match to get out of our system? Here's hoping as TFC need to get healthy and primed as they head down the stretch for the 2017 playoffs.

Yes, going solo once again, and once again it is celebrating a TFC win. The Reds keep on rollin' as they dispatch the Chicago Fire on the road and continue to establish themselves as the top contender in MLS and ignite the conversation of them being the best team in league history. It was another solid display as Marky Delgado, Alex Bono and Michael Bradley all stood apart in putting forth strong performances to ensure the win. Looking ahead, the Union come to BMO but likely TFC will be eyeing next weekend's clash against the Montreal Impact.

Yes, it's another 2-0 home victory for the Reds, who keep on bettering opposition at BMO Field, despite playing at near exhaustion. On two days rest, Toronto mustered up a solid home display where there were no glaring weak links in the squad and the quality was enough to grab all three points. Determination and commitment abounds, it really came down to an Alex Bono super save and Giovinco's last second insurance goal to seal what was an entertaining Friday night of football.

Toronto FC get a result in Orlando, first reversing an earlier loss, but most importantly with the 2-1 propel themselves top of the Eastern Conference. It has been a month to remember as the streak has been impressive, most if it to do with players outside of Giovinco. Specifically Jozy Altidore, Tosaint Ricketts, Alex Bono and Drew Moor have been integral in the recent run of form. Ahead of Montreal TFC have confidence and should feel as though they are now officially the team to beat.
