Navigating the transition from a longtime home into a new place and the next stage of life is one of the biggest challenges older folks and their families face. Join Jeff and his guest, Andrew Bartlett, owner of the real estate firm Bartlett & Associates, to discuss ways to ease the transition. In addition to traditional real estate services, Andrew's team can provide organizing, downsizing, cleaning, painting, moving, and other assistance to prepare the home for sale and make the move. The team further differentiates itself by offering Next Step Home Solutions, programs designed to provide fast, flexible financial help for those who need access to funds before their home sells. Contact Andrew Bartlett at (717) 203-5528 or visit these websites: Next Step Home Solutions - https://nextstep.care/ Bartlett & Associates - https://www.lancorealestate.com/ WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (00:00) Episode introduction. (03:19) Andrew entered real estate because he wanted to provide services that were better than what he experienced as a first-time home buyer. (07:02) Bartlett & Associates offers two financial programs—a cash program and a bridge loan program—for when a customer needs funds right away. (09:43) Often, conventional lender options are available only when people are moving from one house to another, not from one house to a retirement community or care home. (13:32) Jeff added Life Care Planning services at Bellomo & Associates because so many people expressed a need for help with home safety assessments, community services, the long-term care system, etc. (15:35) Professionals with a reliable and knowledgeable referral network can greatly benefit their customers. (17:41) Andrew's company is a sponsor of Bellomo's Multi-Professional Boot Camps. By participating, Andrew came to realize the benefit of smart estate planning to protect one's home and assets. (24:31) Andrew's nonprofit—HCB Foundation—assists families with an urgent need for help paying rent, buying groceries, etc. ABOUT BELLOMO & ASSOCIATES Jeffrey R. "Headship" isn't taught in the Bible and all the arguments in favor of it turn out to be weak arguments. So let's focus on what the Bible IS teaching us. At first, Zach returns to "headship" theories but Bruce redirects the discussion to the word patterns in Ephesians 5-6. Bruce takes Zach to Ephesians 6:1-4. There they discuss not only the parallels with the Ten Commandments (Honor your father and mother) but also Leviticus 19:3 (Each of you shall fear his mother and father). There is much more in Ephesians 5:15-6:9 to look at. We recommend our book Beyond Eden, Ephesians 5:15-6:9, the Great Mystery revealed: Mutually Submitting in Christ. It is available as an audiobook on Audible and as an eBook and paperback from Amazon. We're joined by Dr. Mark Chironna, who is a Pentecostal bishop, semiotician, and founding pastor of Church on the Living Edge in Longwood, Florida. This second installment of a two-part episode is a part of a new segment of the Mutuality Matters podcast, hosted by Tara and Todd Korpi. We're joined by Andrew Bartlett and Terran Williams, two biblical teachers who have written extensively on women and the church. In this episode, Andrew and Terran discuss the concept of the 'tiebreaker rule' in marriage and argue for a mutualist perspective that emphasizes equal partnership over hierarchy. They talk about Junia as an apostle in Romans 16:7 and dispel common misconceptions about Paul's views on women, underscoring his empowerment of women leaders in the early church. 00:00 Welcome to Mutuality Matters: Exploring Gender Equality in Leadership 00:34 Debunking the Tiebreaker Rule in Marriage 01:15 Mutualism in Practice: Real-Life Marriage Dynamics 04:21 Scriptural Insights on Mutual Decision-Making 05:05 Junia's Role and Women's Leadership in the Early Church 11:14 Paul's Example: Empowering Women in Ministry 14:32 Final Thoughts: Encouragement for Men and Women in Leadership 19:26 Connecting with the Speakers and Further Resources 20:59 Closing Remarks and Invitation to Support CBE International Bios Andrew Bartlett QC is based in London and is a highly rated international arbitrator with a wide range of experience in dispute resolution in numerous locations. He set out to write a resource book that was not sharply for one side or the other. In doing so he found one of the sides had no Biblical support. Now he is a balanced advocate for the mutualist or biblical egalitarian interpretation of the Bible. And he can explain why in detail!Andrew Bartlett is a popular speaker and author of Men and Women in Christ, Fresh light from the Biblical Texts. When He researched and wrote his boo he was not aware of the Tru316 publications by Dr. Joy Fleming. After having discovered them he is incorporating the insight that in Genesis 3:16 God took action in two ways, multiplying two things not one as many Bible versions mistranslate the Hebrew words for their readers. Go deeper? Dr. Joy Fleming's book is Man and Woman in Biblical Unity, Theology from Genesis 2-3.Andrew Bartlett's book is available from Inter Varsity Press. This two-part episode is the first in a new segment of the Mutuality Matters podcast, hosted by Tara and Todd Korpi. In this segment we discuss headship theology––dynamics of power, authority, and women and men, and how they function in Christian homes, the local church and society as a whole. We're joined by Andrew Bartlett and Terran Williams, two biblical teachers who have written extensively on women and the church. They provide exceptional insight in this interview, allowing us to establish a strong foundation for understanding what headship theology is and how to think biblically about it. Sy Covid-storie begin in 'n diep, donker geestelike gat. Gelukkig is sy post-Covid-storie 'n nuwe begin met 'n nuwe vennootskap wat oa 'n gemeenskapsradiostasie, 'n nuwe ateljee, 'n nuwe podcast reeks, 'n nuwe mediahuis genaamd Miele Media, 'n UFC-klub, en selfs vriesbaddens en 'n hyperbaric oxygen chamber insluit. Andrew Bartlett is a lawyer, judge, and international arbitrator. He has a degree in theology from University of Gloucestershire. He has served in several churches as elder or churchwarden and is the author of book Men and Women in Christ: Fresh Light from the Biblical Texts, which forms the starting point for our conversation on what the New Testament says about women in church leadership. We focus on 1 Corinthians 11, the meaning of kephale (“head”) from 1 Corinthians 11:3 and Ephesians 5:22-24, and we also dabble briefly in 1 Timothy 2:12-14.
In his new book, How God Sees Women, author and pastor, Terran Williams gives an extensive guide to navigating complementarian arguments against the inclusion of women. In this episode, Blake and Erin give listeners a preview of why this complementarian-turned-mutualist pastor is a wonderful resource for how Scripture and Christ see and empower women. Listen as he shares how complementarianism deeply impacts women in his own context of South Africa and all over the world and why that needs to change. You can find his book here: https://www.amazon.com/How-God-Sees-Women-Patriarchy/dp/B09QF82C23 Bio After a decade of leading the preaching team and sermon content creation of a vibrant church, as it grew into the thousands, Terran Williams has now taken full time to writing books and creating video journeys to serve the wider church and world. He authored Biblica's Reach4Life youth bible—with a print of two million in 30 languages. A seasoned church planter, he also created an intensive two-year church planter course that rolled out in the US, the UK and South Africa. Avid surfer, father of five and coffee-lover, his other passion is, for skeptics and believers alike, building a bridge from God's Word to your world. Introducing Bench Points, Rosemary Media's first and only dedicated NFL/Fantasy Football podcast. This show is hosted by Kevin Murray alongside his co-host, Andrew Bartlett. In this debut episode they discuss Dalvin Cook's holdout, Kaepernick's potential fantasy value, where we might see Cam Newton end up, GMFB's 2020 sleepers and much more. This podcast is produced by Corey Putney who doesn't just chime in from time to time but also plays a pivotal role during each episode - points are given and taken away for various reasons that are completely arbitrary and pointless and by the end of the episode either Kevin or Bartlett is declared the winner and they get absolutely nothing for their efforts but a "job well done". Sports!

The Anywhere But Here Podcast has reached it's 200th episode, so Ant and Tom decided to have a few guests on that they have somehow overlooked or previously promised. The first half of the episode features Andrew Bartlett who has taken a break from podcasting for a while, but is still working on things. On this part of the episode the guys talk Doctor Who, work, books and Terry Pratchett's last wishes. The second half of the episode features Andrew, Scott and Steve from the Weekly Geek Speak Podcast. For reasons that escape all of them (mainly politeness and forgetfulness) these two shows have never crossed over. It looked like it would never happen either, but it seems the WGS lads are going to get it together again and record at least one more episode and possibly more. In this part of the show there's a special 'Bumpy Goose' story and the return of 'Coffee Table Movie Quiz, along with a load of chat. Here's to the next 200 hundred episodes and the resurrection of the PodPals! Enjoy! Get in touch with us: Twitter - @abhpod Facebook - facebook.com/abhpod Youtube - youtube.com/abhpodcast

Black Friday. To shop or not to shop. That is the question. Do you head out and brave the crowds? Today we visit with Andrew Bartlett, long time retailer who has managed 12 Black Fridays. Take some time with us today to consider what's worth the wait, and how to manage the crowds!
This is it! Episode 100 - the final regularly scheduled episode of Mating Habits of the Modern Geek. It's a full house when Em, Andrew Bartlett, Paris, The Business, LLC and Sean Ryan join me to give the show a proper send off. It's loud, chaotic, the cold open is too long, and as per usual, we barely mention dating - you know, a pretty standard show. We do all flip a collective table over the probable end of Western Civilization. As always, we owe everything to the folks who subscribe and listen to the show. It has been an absolute pleasure, and hope to see you over on State of the Geek, We Don't STOP for Chests, Colin!, or any of the other half dozen shows I'll be on. Please stay subscribed to make sure you don't miss out on new sporadic Mating Habits Episodes that will be popping up from time to time. Thank you - Kelley
On today's Hall of Leaders edition of the podcast we talk with John "Jack" Patronski of Global Experience Specialists (GES). Jack is being honored at the CIC Hall of Leaders Celebration coming up in October in Las Vegas. We discussed his history and background that brought him to the industry, how he moved from law enforcement into facilities management and then to Andrew Bartlett and later GES for the past 23 years. Jack is a PCMA Education Foundation Trustee and has been very active in PCMA, The Convention Industry Council and other vital industry groups and initiatives in the Chicago area over the past twenty years. We look back at the history of the industry as well as forward to the future as he's honored for his years of work advancing the meetings and events industry. You can join Jack and all the other honorees on October 18th at the Jewel Nightclub at Aria in Las Vegas for the 2016 Hall of Leaders Celebration.
Get comfortable because this is a long one. Andrew Bartlett and Sean Ryan help me navigate all the technical difficulties of our first-ever call-in show! We catch up on the Haps, answer an email from one of our favorite listeners, and discuss matters of deception - cheating! I talk for a very long time with Kenny Rotter of Dumbbells and Dragons about his views on the subject of cheating, and we all get to chat with Official PodPal Robbie Polanco, and the mastermind behind the Twitter handle @KelleyFactCheck or "Lies Mating Habits Told me." Sean Ryan claims to have had a call from Sean Lynch of Nerd Church fame, but Andrew and I didn't hear it... so I don't think it actually happened ;) Tables get flipped over over-dramatic fan reactions (MILD SPOILERS FOR GAME OF THRONES AND ARROW), folks who don't know who they're talking to, and stolen Slim Jims. Thanks to everyone who called in and talked with us! Mating Habits of the Modern Geek: Love and Dating within Your own Species - your comedy source for relationship advice for geeks and nerds
Welcome back to the podcast! Andrew Bartlett stops by to help me decide whether to "Fix it or 86 it" with all of my hypothetical relationship problems. We discuss what we would do in certain scenarios, and whether or not we would try and repair a relationship, or just end it altogether. Andrew "Rick Rolls" me for April Fools Day and takes what he's learned in My Fair Andrew to the streets! I say goodbye to Trigger Warning: Geeks!, finish every piece of Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC, and do a guest spot on Dumbbells & Dragons! http://dumbbellsanddragons.com We play a new game called Magic Movie Box, and flip tables over HB2, and what it means for the LGBTQ community in North Carolina. Mating Habits of the Modern Geek: Love and Dating within Your own Species - your comedy source for relationship advice for geeks and nerds.
We're back to finish off the episode where we lament the passing of time. In the first part of the episode (released months ago, as we haven't had the time!) we asked the audience for their own interpretation of time and how they manage it. We realise this was a difficult question to answer, so are really pleased and thankful to have had any response at all. So, a big thank you to Robbie Polanco and Andrew Bartlett for their time. It seems the answer is just to force yourself to make time for the things you enjoy. The second half of the episode centres around the impending on-coming of Christmas and our favourite songs and films, as well as what we've asked Father Christmas for this year. Please get in touch with us on Twitter and Facebook (just search The Tom & Jo Show and you'll find us) or email abhpod@gmail.com and put the show title in the title, and let us know your favourite things about Christmas time and how you'll be spending your time. Finally, have a great holiday, merry Christmas and happy new year. We wish you all the best for the year ahead. See you in 2016!
Mating Habits takes in on the road to the Two Loose Screws studio and tries to acclimate to the comic stylings of Jason Roberson and Andrew Bartlett. In this deluxe-length show, we talk about disappointing zombie movies, we finally get "Suspender's Chair" on the show. We talk about casting pods, and why I sound like Bruce from Family Guy sometimes. We get down and dirty with stories from my past in the adult entertainment industry, offensive shirts from band trips, and I question the guys about their dreams and aspirations for life, and for the show. In true Mating Habits fashion, we swap awkward dating stories and Jason flips a table I thought I already righted from podcasts past. I laugh at folks who don't understand the difference between censorship and the free market system, and Andrew doesn't understand what part of customer manners you don't understand. **Listen at around the 1:59 -2:01 time stamp for a special Holiday Announcement from me regarding the Mating Habits of the Modern Geek episode release schedule for the month of December. Enjoy! Mating Habits of the Modern Geek: Love and Dating within Your own Species - your comedy source for relationship advice for geeks and nerds!
