I engage in a deep discussion with Jeff Kinney, the host of the Independent Infidel. Our talk ranges from light-hearted sports conversations to heavy explorations of faith and religious beliefs. I open the conversation with a friendly catch up, asking Jeff about his latest personal experiences and his thoughts on recent sports events. From there, the conversation grows deeper as Jeff begins to explain the premise and motivation behind his show, Independent Infidel, focusing on the exposure and critique of cults of all kinds. I probe Jeff's mind on his thoughts about various religions, asking him about his take on the nature of God's forgiveness and redemption. In our discussion, we also touch on the relationship between faith and our personal lives. For instance, Jeff shares his personal struggle with drug addiction and how his faith played a significant role in him overcoming it. Toward the end, we discuss our criticism of misuse of religious influence and the nature of religious institutions. In response to our criticism of certain religious figures, we note the importance of analyzing such with care, recognizing that a single individual's actions don't necessarily represent the entire spectrum of those who share their faith. The script ends with me promoting Jeff's show, Independent Infidel, emphasizing how it could be a source of enlightenment on the often complex and highly contested world of religious belief systems.here are some some time stamps to peruse. **PRO TIP Add 90 seconds because the show intro does not include Intro.00:01 Introduction and Casual Banter00:16 Discussing Football Rivalries01:01 Introduction to Jeff Kinney's Podcast02:17 Understanding the Purpose of Independent Infidel02:22 Exploring the Concept of Cults03:29 Deep Dive into Islam and Muhammad's Life06:28 Reflecting on the Impact of COVID-19 on Society07:30 Exploring the Nature of Faith and Belief08:03 Understanding the Role of Religion in Personal Life09:19 Discussing the Influence of Cults in Politics19:02 Discussing the Concept of Redemption in Christianity25:54 The Importance of Genuine Repentance26:35 Understanding Forgiveness in a Biblical Context27:06 Introducing Jeff and the Safe Word27:39 Jeff's Personal Journey to Christ29:54 Discussing the Taboo: Masturbation and Christianity33:04 Jeff's Perspective on Masturbation in Christianity38:03 The Controversy of Tithing in Modern Christianity39:28 Jeff's Take on Tithing and Giving Back42:21 The Problem with Modern Day Christians46:26 Jeff's Final Thoughts and Show PlugWays to Donate to Back Home MediaPatreon: Visit patreon.com/BackHomeMedia to become a patron and support Back Home Media through a monthly subscription.PayPal: Make a one-time donation by visiting paypal.com.Me/backhomemedia on PayPal's platform.Venmo: Send your donation to @backhomemedia on Venmo, providing a quick and easy way to contribute.Spot Fund: Support Back Home Media through a dedicated campaign by visiting http://spot.fund/ElevateBackHomeMedia.Choose the method that works best for you to help Back Home Media continue its valuable work.Leave a voice mail for the show: ‪(480) 420-6880‬

75, It's Just You and Me Now, KidBryna Talamantez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Texas. She has dealt with death and grief from a young age. Being that she was so young, she didn't realize that anything was out of the ordinary about her life. She spent a lot of time in hopsitals as her dad received care over the years, witnessed her mom giving him CPR, and experienced several instances of other people picking her up from school and whisking her off to the hospital. Bob was 52 years old when he passed away. Bryna was just 9 years old. At age 14, Bryna experienced the death of her maternal grandmother. Bryna and her mother lost the grounding presence that helped them co-exist the most peacefully. This lead to some difficult times between mother and daughter but their love for each other never waivered. Bryna was a young 19 when her mom, Debbie, passed away unexpectedly just a month shy of turning 60.Bryna called upon her life experiences while in college and decided to become a Family Therapist. She helps young children who are dealing with trauma and or grief. She also started her own podcast, What the Feels, where she and her guests are on a journey to unravel mental health themes of the media we consume on a daily basis.Bryna's advice for those helping a child through grief: "We need to listen, be honest with them, and be with them to help them."Bryna has her own "What the Feels" playlist that she listens to when she needs to feel the feels. Her parents were divorced and she had just been dropped off from a visit with her dad not long before she got the call, finding the police on the other end of the phone instead of her father. Valerie spent years battling addiction following the loss of her father. She has traveled a rough path, but counts her blessings today as she celebrates 3+ years of sobriety. She attributes her sobriety to the Grace of God and the support and love of her family. Valerie now knows it's important for her to do things that keep her mind busy and to preform selfcare, such as meditating, prayer, a long shower, or excercise.Valerie invites anyone that may have struggled with something similar to her to approach her for advice and friendship, as that's what she needed when she was younger. Valerie's advice to her younger self: There could always be a worse situation, so just be grateful for what you have. Jordyn describes her mom as a Charismatic Christian and a Christian version of herself. Tami was a badass mom and loved listening to Kiss and Tom Petty. Jordyn grew up in Texas, and now lives on the West coast. She speaks of the shift in the relationship with her mom when she became a mom herself, and all those times when she heard of other people losing a loved one, just how unfathomable the loss and experience is until you know. Sometimes you don't know until you know... Jordyn flips the script a few times and asks about my parents. And I unintentionally gave Jordyn the chance to discuss what it's like when someone compares their grief to yours. All grief is unique and there is no comparison. There are some things that you don't do until after your parent dies. Starting her podcast was one of those things for Jordyn. She doesn't think her mom would be ashamed of her work, however she doesn't feel like she would have started it if Tami were still around. If you do not live close to your loved one and you want to see their grave, you may want to check out www.findagrave.com . 67, My Twin FlameJordyn Hakes, host of The Horny Housewife Podcast, shares her precious mom, Tami, with us. Tami passed away in her sleep when she was 57 and Jordyn was 30. Sometimes you don't know until you know...Jordyn flips the script a few times and asks about my parents. If you find that your person does not have a picture of their grave stone listed, you can send a picture in to be added. Podcast Spotlight: The Horny Housewife is the couples locker room talk, take notes. Your host Jordyn Hakes is raw, unfiltered and a bit salacious, discussing all things sex, the realities of marriage, & answering YOUR burning questions while always protecting anonymity. From mismatched libidos, the male g-spot, backdoor entry, how-to's for both men and women, no topic is off limits. If that doesn't set the tone for your life, followed directly by some shitty treatment by your remaining family which heavily impacts your future, I'm not sure what does. Janet lives in Canada and is a "badass boss lady" just like her mama, Cass. She is proud to be a public servant. Janet has come a long way from the 18 year old girl whose life blew up in her face when her mother died. She now has her own family, and has used her experiences to better prepare for her children and their future. Janet wanted to remember the 25th anniversary of her mother's death in June 2020. She created the Motherlove Project, where she shares written stories and pictures of other women who have lost their mothers. True to her life's design, she created a medium where others can write their own stories, just like Janet realized she could do with her own life. "My mom's story is not mine. Danielle discusses the lives and the loss of her parents, Amy and Louis, along with the fluidity of her relationship with her sister, and how her own loss has shaped her life today. Both Amy and Louis gave to their community throughout their lives, and Danielle and her family found meaningful ways to give back to the community in their honor.
