Time to discuss Breathedge for the first… second time! We did a Psitanium Mine episode on the game back in 2021, but it's time to revisit the exploded ship and minimal gravity of this game world. Will we find our dead grandfather before it's too late? Well, no, because he's already dead.

Lee's beard gets fluffy when it rains. But what happens when he's in space?    We're wrapping up #back2YourBacklog. Lee missed the memo about finishing games, and instead started every game possible. Safe to say he did not finish a single game. Almost like he planned ahead for June '23 when we run #backToYourBacklog.    Simone didn't expect to finish The Sims, but we can argue with Lee dying, it's an end. And of course, Kyle didn't get near to finishing Breathedge. Kyle and inventory management is an interesting relationship... But in fairness, both Kyle and Simone moved house, so we have that excuse and we're sticking to it.    Lee also has a game review for you! Because of reasons. Then to take a break from shooting things on an island, he jumps into Duke Nukem Forever to shoot things in the future. And to take a break from that, he then shoots some pool. Except it's not pool, it's snooker. And apparently those are completely different games.    Simone is chomping at the bit to update us on all the gossip in The XboxCast house! And it seems there has been a death in the family. Was it murder? Is foul play suspected? Or was someone getting too comfortable around electric fences? Top tip of the week: turn it off and on again and then turn it upside down.  It's all to do with gravity and other science words.    #backToYourBacklog continues! Simone is now getting to grips with a household of crazy Sims. How do the patrons behave when left alone? Has anyone drowned in the pool yet? And who is the flirtiest patron? So many questions, not many answers. But at least The Sims makes for some fantastic stories!    Lee and Simone nerd out about Control. Apparently, there's a fridge that needs looking after. Lee tests how far he can fall before the game says no. And to break up all the Control playing, he even checks out Far Cry 3. How does it hold up after 10 plus years? And has he gotten better at avoiding enemies since last week?   Kyle is suffering through Breathedge. But at least it gives him an excuse to rant and rave. Because we're excited!    August's event is upon us once again. #back2YourBacklog sees us going into our backlog to play (and hopefully finish) a game that's we've been meaning to play for a while, but have not started up. That's right, August is the month for starting that game you never got around to. What will you play?    Simone has landed on The Sims 4. Welcome back to I'm No Gaming Scientist! On this episode of Video Games 2 the MAX hosts Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison discuss the games they are playing such as Marc finally trying out Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Taiko No Tatsujin, although he got some bad news about his drums. Sean also played Another Eden a mobile JRPG that was put on Steam and how he’s so glad his PC has a touch screen. The NPD numbers from March 2021 are also out too, Sony being the fastest-selling console ever, Monster Hunter Rise and Outriders selling well, and more. They also discuss the games they are excited about from the Nintendo Indie World Showcase. Sean is happy about seeing more from Last Stop, There is No Game: Wrong Dimension hitting the Switch, more on Cris Tales, and the big announcement of Oxenfree 2. While Marc liked Never Yield and Aztech Forgotten Gods. Marc is also a bit befuddled by Konami’s latest indie title Getsufumaden and this leads to a discussion on a rumor flying around that Microsoft may have purchased the rights to Konami franchises. If it is even real, what could be the result of this? Plus, a big rumor started suddenly that was quickly and thankfully squashed by the company itself regarding Square-Enix having interested suitors, although the company has no interest in selling at all. The guys talk about what this would mean and how it would not be good for gaming. Plus the latest details on the Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade and the Yuffie DLC finally having a standalone price. The duo also converses on why there should be another F-Zero game and that the excuse of “we can’t think of anything innovative to do with it” is a really lame reason to not make one. Especially when Nintendo doesn’t have a racing game of this type. They also ponder the same thing for Star Fox. Plus, the end of Nintendo Labo leads to a conversation on what could have been with Toys to Life. Other things discussed in the episode: Resident Evil 4 VR, WWE 2K22’s debut and the wrestlers that were recently released, and the Upcoming Games. They also discuss the games they are excited about from the Nintendo Indie World Showcase. Sean is happy about seeing more from Last Stop, There is No Game: Wrong Dimension hitting the Switch, more on Cris Tales, and the big announcement of Oxenfree 2. While Marc liked Never Yield and Aztech Forgotten Gods. Marc is also a bit befuddled by Konami’s latest indie title Getsufumaden and this leads to a discussion on a rumor flying around that Microsoft may have purchased the rights to Konami franchises. If it is even real, what could be the result of this? Plus, a big rumor started suddenly that was quickly and thankfully squashed by the company itself regarding Square-Enix having interested suitors, although the company has no interest in selling at all.
