Vorthos Mike, art aficionado extraordinaire, calls into the Bolcast to discuss some of his fave Magic artists, how he deepens his appreciation of the game through the art, and putting on installations and panels with artists at MagicCon. We just talk for a long time. There isn't really a Bolas question like a villain story or pet peeve. We kind of just talk about how much we love the art. I spend some time talking about how going through my bulk has reinvigorated my love for the game.

This week on Am I The Bolcast?, we get a call from Nile Joan Rivers about the time she tweeted about EDHREC and people were not cool about it. The tweet in question, for context, "Idk if this is a hot take or not but i think edhrec has done a ton of damage to this format. Safe to say, we're a little biased at Am I the Bolcast? with our origins lying in the EDHREC sister site CommandersHerald.com. That said, Nile raises some good points and we discuss the merits as well as the effects of a data site like EDHREC on the format. Hey! Bit of a strange one today - I (Carrozza) have been sick for a couple of weeks dealing with a new health complication. I'll be alright! I'm already recovering. However, I unfortunately had to cancel on Celani and Morgan twice leading up to this episode, but did not want to stall on Bevers' episode. Our maple sweet boy Bevers calls in to talk extensively about his show before diving into a chat about Knowledge Pool and having no plans for a board wipe when a game has gone long (a topic, we've touched on before and will likely chat about again). The ever-evolving world of global power dynamics is characterized by the complex relationships between large economies such as the United States and China and how these interactions are perceived and navigated by countries in the Global South. Understanding these dynamics requires a comprehensive view of how some countries, such as China, position themselves as a challenger to the existing world order and US hegemony through their economic, structural, and normative power. While many countries in the Global South are finding it challenging to navigate the complex terrain of great power competition, some are leveraging their unique positions to maximize benefits and assert their sovereignty. They engage strategically with multiple great powers, negotiating deals and leveraging relationships to their advantage, balancing economic needs, security concerns, and political aspirations. Ilaria Carrozza is a senior researcher at the The Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO). Her research focuses on understanding how China extends its influence abroad and challenges the existing world order. @ilaria_carrozzaResourcesShaping the Digital Architecture: Contested Norms on Digital Technology in Southeast AsiaChina's Digital Silk Road and Malaysia's Technological Neutrality Dual-Use AI Technology in China, the US and the EU: Strategic Implications for the Balance of Power Winds of Change? Your host, Eric Dunavant, talks with the Board Members of Sacred Selections, David and Dana Carrozza. David and Dana's journey is a testament to the idea that what happens in our living rooms is as significant, if not more so, than what transpires in conference rooms. With 44 years of marriage, two children, and five grandchildren, the Carrozzas have built a life that celebrates the importance of family and the impact of nurturing relationships.Their story began over 50 years ago at Florida College in Temple Terrace, near Tampa. After a brief dating period and a seven-year hiatus, fate brought them back together in San Francisco, where a chance encounter and a phone call rekindled their love. This serendipitous reunion set them on a path of shared life and purpose.Currently, the Carrozzas are deeply passionate about "passing on the torch" of leadership. They have dedicated themselves to the work of adoption through their funding organization, which collaborates with thousands of donors to remove financial barriers to private adoption. As they prepare to hand over the reins to a new generation of leaders, their focus is on ensuring the continuity of their mission to help children find loving homes. To learn more about David and Dana's work, click HERE and HERE.If you'd like to be a guest on the Kingdom ROI: Return on Intention podcast, click HERE.

Buckle up, ladies & gentlemen, you're in for an amazing ride. This week on the Keep Going podcast, we are joined by Paul Carrozza, the Godfather of Austin running. In our No Direction Home episode a few weeks ago (Episode 11, for reference) we mentioned how one of the three pillars holding up the foundations of Austin running was the mercurial & magical energy bottled up in RunTex, the original local running store that Paul & his wife Sheila owed & operated between 1988-2013. In its 25 year run, it fundamentally changed the entire city, not just the running scene. On any given day you might bump into governors - at least three Texas governors (Ann Richards, George W Bush & Rick Perry) were consistent drop ins, tech millionaires - Michael Dell trained with Carrozza & was a close friend, musical celebrities - Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker were New Balance junkies & spent time on the RunTex floor, but, in addition, also all the rest of the wild & weird scene that made Austin such a vibrant & exciting place in the 90's & 00's. Those halcyon days are hinted at in this episode where we unpack where Paul started & how he made his way to Austin & the early days of RunTex where every employee was trained in the Trifecta of shoe sales, event production & coaching. Two of your hosts worked in this melting pot of creativity, inspiration & hard work & bring an insider's vibe to the conversation. Stories abound. This is the first in a series of episodes we have planned with Paul as there is simply too much history to cover in an hour. So in honor of 1985, the year Paul & Shiela moved to Austin, as well the year Starship released their international hit smash, We Built This City, we bring to you the episode we call He Built This City: Paul Carrozza, the Godfather of Austin Running.Godspeed, my friends, godspeed.
Texas legend Crayton Carrozza hops on the podcast today for a highly impactful and entertaining episode. Crayton is a senior at the University of Texas, where he has won an NCAA Championship (in the DMR), is the back-to-back BIG 12 indoor champion in the 800m, and holds the school record in the 800m and mile with a times of 1:46.28, and 3:56.79. Prior to his years in the NCAA, Crayton was consistently one of the top runners in his home state of Texas. Crayton is currently in pursuit of making history on the outdoor track this spring. In this conversation, Crayton recaps his past year of crazy races, including his NCAA championship, Penn Relays win, NCAA indoor 800m race, and more. He also takes us through his upbringing in the sport, ambitions for the future, family competitiveness, and crazy texas workouts. Needless to say, tap in to the Crayton Carrozza special.
This week on the Love Better podcast we are talking about what it means to be made in God's image and how every soul matters.
