Screenwriter, producer, and podcaster Adam “Tex” Davis is best known for writing the screenplay of the cult rom-com classic Just Friends, which stars Ryan Reynolds, Amy Smart, and Anna Faris. This new book I've written SWEET DREAMS AHEAD FOR BED is a story that literally outlines the steps for getting ready for sleep for babies to four-year-olds. Also, in the book are tips for parents on how to get your child to go to sleep. And what I've discovered in the new books I've been doing is the front of the book is the story, and the back four pages are parenting information...So, now what's happening is parents are reading the book out loud, then they're reading the tips. It's a wonderful way to get information to parents. The main character Kate, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones, is a traumatized soft-masc who spends the entire movie dodging debris, severe winds, and men while wearing a flannel over her Urban Outfitters tank top. She is literally all of us about a year before coming out and chopping off our hair.  We can honestly interpret pretty much every character in this film as gay (including the tornados!). Even the male characters are shown embracing their emotions openly and having deep camaraderie with their bros, something not typically highlighted by action movies. We can't help but ship Javi and Scott, Tyler and Boone, Dani and Lily and Kate with basically any character that isn't a man.  We know one thing for sure, Twisters Should've Been Gay. One of the most memorable episodes of WWE Smackdown ever was the 11/11/1999 edition and former head writer Tommy Blacha has a lot of stories to share. Tommy goes into detail about dealing with Arnold Schwarzenegger and his people in the lead-up to the episode, how Arnold was integrated into the show and ended up doing way more than they originally agreed on, how Triple H masterminded the memorable ending of the episode, and the ways Vince wanted to overdeliver on the promotion of Arnold's movie. As if that wasn't enough, this was also the episode where the funeral of Big Show's father was crashed by the Big Boss Man, leading to one of the most unintentionally hilarious segments in the history of the show. We have something a little different on today's Cryptid Creator Corner, but I think it's a conversation you are really going to enjoy. I'm chatting with Aaron Waltke, the Co-Executive Producer and Co-Head Writer for Season Two of Star Trek: Prodigy, which is available now on Netflix. I have been a fan of Star Trek for as long as I can remember. Star Trek: The Next Generation started when I was 8 years old and I was hooked. I started watching Star Trek: Prodigy with my 11 year old daughter Charlotte and we both loved it: the characters, the fun of it all, the adventure, so I was delighted to chat with Aaron about Prodigy and being in the writer's room and now co-Head Writer for Season Two.
