Dans la brume est un film de science-fiction franco-québécois sorti le 04 avril 2018, réalisé par Daniel Roby avec Romain Duris et Olga Kurylenko en tête du casting. En termes de synopsis, Dans la brume dépeint un Paris sous la menace d’une brume mortelle qui survient à la suite d’un tremblement de terre. Par conséquence, les survivants doivent trouver refuge en hauteur pour échapper à cette brume, que ce soit sur les derniers étages ou les toits des bâtiments parisiens. Dans ce contexte post-apocalyptique, on suit deux parents qui vont tenter de survivre et surtout, sauver leur fille, atteinte d’une maladie génétique qui l’a contraint à rester dans une bulle stérile. A travers ce podcast, nous donnons notre avis sur le film Dans la brume, le contexte de sa sortie (production, distribution, marketing, ambitions,tournage…), en élargissant le spectre sur le film de Genre français qui revient, à priori, en force depuis 2017/2018 (Grave, La nuit a dévoré le monde, Ghostland…). Dans sa nouvelle production franco-canadienne "Dans la brume", Daniel Roby tente de donner un nouveau souffle au genre et assume un film catastrophe ambitieux, vicié et travaillé de l’intérieur. Il y raconte l’histoire d’un brouillard mystérieux et toxique qui se met à sortir des égouts et à inonder les rues de Paris poussant ainsi la population à se réfugier dans les hauteurs et à organiser sa survie. Malgré des effets spéciaux ratés, un Romain Duris qui sonne assez faux et une mise en scène impersonnelle, “Dans la Brume” réussit l’essentiel. Daniel Roby pose le contexte et les enjeux du film dès les dix premières minutes et travaille avec intensité l’imagerie parisienne. Quant au scénariste, Guillaume Lemans, il joue avec adresse avec les phobies des parisiens, allant jusqu’à faire naître des peurs nouvelles. Aujourd’hui dans les salles, un film français pas comme les autres : DANS LA BRUME de Daniel Roby. Une bonne occasion de faire revenir devant notre micro son scénariste et producteur, l’indispensable Guillaume Lemans, à l’occasion d’un PODCAST BONUS riche en infos et réflexions diverses. S’il y a un talent singulier qui a émergé au cours des dix dernières années au sein du cinéma de genre français, c’est bel et bien celui du scénariste Guillaume Lemans.
