  A 120-foot fall free-climbing almost cost Dov his life but freed him to pursue his calling. The search for meaning has been an obsession of Dov Baron from his earliest days. He was born in Northern England in abject poverty, surrounded by crime, violence, and addiction, and knew there must be more to life than suffering and abuse. Dov left his destructive environment to travel and study with some of the world's leading thinkers. He then parlayed his learning into founding and building companies on three continents. While free climbing a mountain in British Columbia in 1990, he fell from the rock face at approximately 120 feet high and broke dozens of bones, including every bone in his face. This video is a fascinating update to the field trip I took back in December to see the world's largest crystalline gold nugget. Mining analyst Jeff Clark and had I traveled to Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys California to see the Crown Jewel, a remarkable 640 troy ounce crystalline gold nugget, which at the time, we were informed was the largest in existence in the world. But soon after the video of our road trip aired, I received an email from a private collector informing me that he owns a crystalline pure gold nugget that is 45% larger. It's on display at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas, and he invited me to come see it with him whenever I was next in town. Philo worked many animated TV shows and video games including The Smurfs, Scooby Doo, Jem and the Holograms, Space Ace, Dragons Lair, and many more. He worked on consumer products for several years with Disney, and to this day you can still find his artwork still being used on toys, books, home electronics/appliances, apparel, and posters. Philo's parent Dale Barnhart and Phyllis Barnhart were both animators at Disney's animation studios. Growing up watching the magic of art become animation, he spends his life continuing the tradition of making stories come to life through art.
