The topic of gay conversion therapy divides opinion today. But what actually is it? Are there different kinds? Should they all be illegal? Are they all as offensive as LGBT+ lobby-groups would have us believe? The term itself covers an extraordinary range of practices, from the outright abusive and homophobic to the genuinely pastoral, such as offering consensual prayer. Should the Church be condemning or defending these things? Should a pastor be arrested for responding to a prayer request? This issue raises all sorts of other concerns beyond homosexuality too, such as discrimination against personal and religious freedoms, and even issues of backdoor racism via the marginalisation of West African Pentecostal churches in the West. Aaron, Andy, and Michael dive into this hugely controversial topic, hoping to offer some insight on this issue, all whilst attempting to avoid getting cancelled themselves.
