After reaching out to anthropology departments at the University of New Orleans and Tulane, they discovered the relic was a 2,000-year-old headstone for a Roman sailor. Almost a century after Phillis Symons was murdered and buried in an unmarked Karori grave, a headstone mysteriously appeared. Symons, 17 and pregnant, was killed by George Errol Coats in June 1931 and buried - some say alive - in the dirt excavated to build the Mt Victoria tunnel, where her body was later discovered. Historian Gabor Toth says it's a mystery as to how the headstone got there. "The fact that her grave has been unmarked has been remarked upon over the years - I do know that the Friends of Karori Cemetery, a group that got going about five or six years ago were actively engaging with Phyllis Symons' family over in Australia and they were working towards getting a gravestone...but this isn't it." The smashing of headstones by vandals at an Auckand chapel have been described as "senseless, stupid and unecessary". Police are investigating the damage at St Stephens Chapel, after receiving a report on Monday evening. Marble headstones have been broken into pieces, while sandstone graves were literally smashed to smithereens. At the time they were in a position for her to stay home with the kids and that's what she did. But now that they're older, she's been having a hard time finding a job that would pay her the same amount of money she was making a decade ago and she's been out of the game for a while. Her old boss reached out to see if she'd like to come back. She doesn't want to because she thinks it'll be the same madness all over again, her husband, Erik, says she has to take it to put on her resume and get working again. Kim has got a shot at $600!
