Hundreds of people are backing a grieving mum's campaign for dogs to be banned from a cemetery - after she saw the animals “weeing on headstones”.She says she's been left “absolutely disgusted” by walkers letting their pets run around and defecate while she is visiting her 16-year-old daughter's grave. Also in today's podcast, two people have been violently attacked near their homes after complaining about a neighbour's music being too loud.A Halling woman has appeared in court, accused of hitting, punching and scratching them when they confronted her. You can hear from a Kent MP who's urging the government to “finish the job” and extend the Elizabeth Line into Kent. MP Jim Dickson says it was originally meant to run through the Ebbsfleet – which would benefit the thousands of new families that are due to move into the area. There was disappointment for Gillingham last night after they secured a win in the EFL Trophy, but couldn't do enough to make it through to the knockout round. We've got reaction from manager Mark Bonner. And the mystery as to why an historic clock on a Kent high street runs more than an hour slow could, finally, be solved. The landmark in Folkestone is more than 100 years old but is now useless for anyone who needs to know the time.

If the business of America truly is business then wouldn't it follow you could sell advertising space on your headstone? I have an answer. Also, the worst obituary ever published, what one cemetery is doing to have a revenue stream other than death, what kind of businesses would benefit from selling THC beverages, the only (but huge) mistake Coca-Cola ever made, are you breaking your marital vows if you want a sleep divorce, why frontier/pioneer families often had 20-30 kids, why conservatives continue to believe Trump's lies and what that has to do with the Bible and some wild digressions by me that suggest ADD or mild schizophrenia in just 20 minutes. Her old boss reached out to see if she'd like to come back. She doesn't want to because she thinks it'll be the same madness all over again, her husband, Erik, says she has to take it to put on her resume and get working again. Kim has got a shot at $600! Monuments are the types of memorials — headstones, footstones, markers and more — we place at a loved one's final resting place, and honor a life. So what are our choices? How creative can we be with design? When should we start to think about a monument, and what about maintaining it over time? Book Club #81 - A Heart Full of Headstones - Richard is in Edinburgh and talks to Edinburgh's second favourite knight (after a penguin) Ian Rankin. They discuss the latest of his many books about Rebus and Edinburgh (is it a character in itself?), how well Ian knows the character after all this time, why he chose to have him age in real time, how his books embrace topicality, whether Rebus could really pull Duckface, why Ian let go of the TV adaptations, the changes made by American publishers and how persistence from the author led the series to be a huge success (and how long that took to happen). Plus the looming presence of Richard Osman, being asked to write the autobiography of Sean Connery, Ian's attempt to write a Mills and Boon romance and whether it's possible to understand evil. Plus much more. It's a must listen for the aspirant author and the fan of crime (or any) novels).Buy a Heart Full of Headstones here https://www.amazon.co.uk/Heart-Full-Headstones-Must-Read-Bestseller/dp/1398709387/Come and see RHLSTP on tour http://richardherring.com/rhlstp Become a member at https://plus.acast.com/s/rhlstp.
