In this Hot Seat episode of the Awake & Winning Podcast, Kaylor Betts gets put in the hot seat by Linsay Doyle, a powerful force in the Awake & Winning community. What unfolds is a no-fluff, raw, and deeply spiritual conversation that hits straight to the soul. Linsay grills Kaylor on self-mastery, truth-telling, the cost of leadership, and navigating today's chaotic world with divine alignment and inner strength. Together, they unpack why community is essential to healing, how indoctrination is sneaky AF in modern society, and what it really means to go “all in” on your mission. Linsay's powerful questions and closing prayer anchor this episode in both grit and grace.  This isn't just another conversation, it's a wake-up call wrapped in love.     Episode Highlights: community healing, spiritual warfare, personal sovereignty, indoctrination, frequency, truth over comfort, leadership, red pill awareness, God's mission, discipline vs devotion, emotional regulation, victim mindset       Takeaways: Community is often the deciding factor in whether trauma breaks or strengthens you True leadership means only celebrating what takes people toward their highest self The algorithm reflects your subconscious desires—train it wisely Triggering others can be a divine tool for awakening Belonging impacts your nervous system and ability to grow Truth should always outweigh comfort and conformity Devotion to your mission can override loneliness   If you enjoyed the episode, please be sure to take a screenshot and share it out on Instagram and tag @thekaylorbetts. AUDIO QUALITY NOTICE!  Apologies, we have a little static on one of the mics during our recording - sorry for the occasional audio issue.  As a project manager, an organizational structure that will have a big impact on your life is the PMO. But if you aren't used to working with a PMO, what should you expect? Are they going to make your life and projects easier, or crush you with red tape? If you are interviewing for a job where they have a PMO, what questions should you ask to get a better understanding of how they work? And, what should you expect from a PMO - and what are they expecting from you?  With all these questions, we thought we should reach out to a couple of the most well known minds in PMO: Lindsay Scott and Eileen Roden. Their UK based “House of PMO” organization does some great things in the PMO space (plus they are a lot of fun!) so we feel very fortunate that Linsay and Eileen agreed to join us and help us understand a bit more about whether PMO's are our friends or foes.    About our amazing guests, Lindsay Scott and Eileen Roden Lindsay has worked in and around project management and PMO for over 20 years and is a Director at PMO Learning, a training company focused on PMO.  She is Co-Founder of the House of PMO, a professional membership organisation for PMO practitioners. Lindsay is the co-author of the PMO Competency Framework and editor of the Handbook of People in Project Management. She speaks regularly on project management and PMO career topics – and provides 1-2-1 coaching for those looking to advance their careers in PMO. Eileen has 15 years practitioner experience in a variety of project management roles (predominantly PMO management) along with IT and functional HR roles, with a variety of UK, EMEA and global responsibilities.  Her practical experience is supported by both academic and professional certifications including a Masters in Applied Project Management (with distinction), AIPMO-E, PRINCE2®, MSP®, MoP®, Managing Benefits®, Better Business Cases®, Programme and Project Sponsorship®.  She is now a Consulting Director of PMO Learning and co-founder of the House of PMO. She is the author of P3O® Best Management Practice and lead author of the PMO Competency Framework, co-author of Knowledge Management in a Project Environment, along with contribution to many APM publications.  She is a frequent conference speaker throughout UK and Europe. On the latest Under the Banner of Heaven Aftershow we are excited to have on Lindsay Hansen Park! She worked as a consultant for the Under the Banner of Heaven series and she is the Executive Director of Sunstone. On a very special "behind the scenes" episode Lindsay details how she got involved in the project, the role she played in the temple scene, and interacting with Andrew Garfield along with the cast and crew! Lindsay then shares with Rebecca Bibliotheca and Steven Pynakker her overall thoughts about the series. She acknowledges and understands some of the criticisms directed toward the program, but she also shares some "off the record" information that shows how much UTBoH got right. We then discuss "Revelation", the 6th episode of the series. This is probably the best episode so far and it was a real delight to get Lindsay's take. To cap off our program Lindsay gives a sneak peek of this year's Sunstone Summer Symposium "Many Mansions". Steven is then officially appointed to be the umpire for the annual kick ball tournament between the Ex-Mo's and the Fundamentalists! This has been a really enjoyable time having these converstions about the show. Next week I'll be at the Mormon History Association Conference so there may be a slight delay in taping for the finale. I am thinking of having on all of my previous aftershow guests (Jim Bennett, Benjamin Shaffer, Linsay as well as Thomas Murphy) back on for a special panel discussion. We take a last-minute step (or five) to the West, as Liz and Ben delay their chat about The Long Mars to go back to where it all began: Pratchett's original 1986 short story "The High Meggas". Larry Linsay, who perfected the belt technology that allows humans to move between parallel Earths, has shunned civilisation. He's living near the coast of what would be France in a world in the "high meggas", the weirder Earths a million or so removed from the original. Like all the other Earths, it's devoid of human life - or it was, until two guards from Forward Base, the nearest human settlement many worlds away, arrive in Linsay's world. The first one he finds, Joshua Valienté, claims he's chasing the other one: a terrorist who poisoned the other fifty personnel at Forward Base. Trouble is, that's exactly what she says about him, too... When we had to change plans at the last minute and delay our episode on The Long Mars, we decided to take the opportunity to produce a bonus episode about the story where it all started. "The High Meggas" was written in between the first two Discworld novels and never published until its ideas became a novel, and it's a fascinating look at how Pratchett's idea evolved. Some things are very similar - names like Linsay and Valienté, the concept (though not the name) of the Long Earth. Others are tweaked - the belts become boxes, movin' becomes stepping. And then there's some which are flipped entirely - compare the "Sideways Doctrine" to the idea of US Aegis. Do you prefer the more technological version of "stepping" in the original story? Does the central drama of the story work for you, or is the villain too obvious? And what do you think Pratchett's career would have been like if The Colour of Magic hadn't been a success, and this had been his next big project instead of The Light Fantastic? Join the conversation using the hashtag #Pratchat57West5 on social media. As usual, you can find notes and errata for this episode on our website. This bonus episode won't stop us from discusses the third Long Earth novel, The Long Mars, with returning guest Joel Martin! That episode, #Pratchat57, will be released on the 25th of July. (It's probably too late for any more Long Mars questions, but if you're very quick we'll squeeze 'em in.) Next month, for #Pratchat58, we'll be reading another short story: 1988's "Final Reward". Send us your questions using the appropriate hashtag on social media, or via email to chat@pratchatpodcast.com.
