With the recent announcement that USC and UCLA were moving from the PAC-12 to the Big 10, many questions were raised about the future of college football, and subsequently, college sports overall. Andy Staples has covered college football at the Athletic since 2019. He covered college football for Sports Illustrated from 2008-19. He also hosts "The Andy Staples Show,” a podcast available everywhere you can find this episode. He also can be found on Sirius/XM's College Sports Channel. Some questions were raised during this episode: Will other PAC-12 schools follow USC and UCLA? Will the SEC and Big 10 further evolve into super conferences with new revenue streams that other schools will not be able to compete with? Then, how will lower-tier schools and conferences compete in the national landscape? Where does Notre Dame fit into all this? How are streaming services the impetus behind major college conference realignment? Follow Andy on social media @Andy_Staples.

He received a scholarship from Arizona State University and was selected by the Chicago Cubs as a 13th round draft pick in 1981.His coaching background is lengthy and extensive. He has been a head coach at the high school, national travel and NCAA-College baseball levels. He has also worked as a task force member for the prestigious Team USA program in Cary, NC. As the father of two sons that played baseball and competed at the college level, Walter has been through the recruiting process plenty. One of his son's, Tyler played for the National Champion Vanderbilt Commodores and is currently with the Pittsburgh Pirates. All told, Walter has over two decades of experience as a mentor to other young men, as a coach, a father, and a player himself. I'll be honest. I didn't want to put this episode out. I still don't. I could have been more clear. I could have prepared a better message. I should have had a plan. But your boy is committed to failure. So one night, I forced myself to sit down, speak about my past, just to see what comes out. Here's what came of it..In this episode I discuss....- How I survived being kicked off 2 different NCAA D1 college programs (The full story)- My life growing up- How I got started- Dealing with my problem of being told what to do...- How I completely turned my life around...- What I learned from my mistakes - How I used my addictive personality for success- The moral of the story and a deeper look into the person I am nowThis was recorded on 12/17/21Enjoi.

I’m dedicating this episode to the courageous and unapologetic Black woman, Asia Barnes, coach of the University of Arizona Women’s Basketball team. Thank you for being a fierce, passionate, and loving competitor and for representing the Pac-12 conference with excellence. Welcome to Seasoned with Salt Podcast. This is Dominique Beaumonte, your host. Every Monday, I am bringing a motivational thought, inspired by God's word, to keep you grounded, empowered, and courageously moving towards your goals! Did you watch the 2021 NCAA College women’s basketball championship? The Stanford Cardinals played the Arizona Wildcats in a historic game between two Conference rivals who had already place twice. The Wildcats were down one point with 6 seconds to go in the game. They had the ball but couldn’t convert. Time ran out and the Cardinal wins. After the game, they asked Arizona’s coach, Asia Barnes, about the last heartbreaking moments of the game. She said; “Against great teams like Stanford, we have to be a little bit better at the small things. It doesn't ever come down to the last shot. It comes down to the missed free throws down the stretch, the foul on the three-point shot, getting the turnovers and not converting. It's those things. It's never the last play, but it obviously just stings pretty bad.” Losing can have a detrimental impact on our future efforts to win. If the team spends every day focusing on the last mistake they made, they will be grossly unprepared for the next season. So the challenge becomes: Don’t be crippled by your last shot Winning has to be the byproduct of wholistic Preparation. Every action matters. This week, we will have the choice to labor on what we lost or focus on how to win. So this week, every play matters. Discipline is the name of the game. 1. This week, Don’t be lazy. Ecclesiastes 9:10 - Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. 2. Prioritize God over your plan Proverbs 16:3 Commit your works to the LORD, And your thoughts will be established. 3. Put your plan to work with the three Ps: Prayer, Practice and People! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/seasonedwithsalt/support

Please to have my friend & Ex-industry colleague Jared Kleinstein on the pod. Jared is the Founder & CEO of Denver-based agency Fresh Tape Media, a Denver Based creative agency that makes videos, photos, & experiences for brands, sports properties, and media companies. His team runs a network of over 150+ of the top creators: shooters, editors, designers, writers, & social media influencers to help create media for his clients, some of them includes the Washington Capitals, Denver Broncos, NASCAR, Formula 1, the Arizona Cardinals, the CO Rockies, NFL, NBA, NCAA Basketball, MLB, Facebook & Twitter, just to name a few. Fresh Tape has done videos on Zion Williamson when he entered the NBA draft, took on the NCAA College football playoffs content during Media Day and Game Day, providing their social media platform with unique content to post during the finals to drive social conversation, produced the MLB 1 on 1 series with the Mariners Dee Gordon & Nelson Cruz where they vlog behind the scenes in the lockerroom, and produced content for the CAPS as Ovechkin became the 8th player in NHL history to record 700 career goals. So WHY on earth would Jared come on my real estate podcast? I’d say the answer is two folds: 1st, Jared was one of the original members of Streeteaasy, where he spent more than 7 years with the founding team to help build out the aggregator BEFORE Zillow purchased them for $50M back in 2013. 2nd: His knowledge of video content creation & social media is more important than ever for all small & large businesses, including real estate. We’ll delve more into that later. A few more fun facts about Jared: Worked as the head of sports & International content strategy at Twitter Was the Founder & CEO of Tebowing.com which was the worlds largest database for tebowing photos He was a Vail ski instructor for 7 years You can follow Jared on IG & twitter at @jarzod & @frestapemedia

As one of the most respected equestrian coaches in the US, Coach Sanchez has guided OSU’s equestrian team to National Championships in 2000, 2003 - ’06, and ’13; and has led the Cowgirls to Big 12 Championships in the 2009, 2012 - ’14 seasons, as well.
