Back in July of 2020, we were first introduced to our friend, Peter Vogel, and his Leafwire platform. We learned how to utilize the platform for Cannabis Industry networking and have made a lot of new friends. We have also found some of our most favorite guests due to networking on the Leafwire platform. Now as we look to conclude 2020 and gear up for a crazy 2021 business climate we thought It would be a perfect time to follow up with Peter and see what is new with Leafwire and also breakdown some ways we Cannapreneurs can get ready for business in a new year! Dr. Ann Gillies speaks with Rod Taylor and Peter Vogel about the dangerous myths surrounding sexual identity and gender expression, and the counselling of those who are seeking to reduce in themselves the actions and feelings of unwanted same-sex attraction. With 25 years of counselling experience, Dr. Gillies brings a fresh professional perspective to this emotionally-charged topic. On Bill C-6, now before Parliament, Dr. Gillies sees enormous dangers of it criminalizing normal parental care and concern and making it impossible for those caught in a lifestyle they no longer are comfortable in, to seek and find the help they need. Dr. Gillies is the author of several books and the founder of an organization called Restoring the Mosaic. https://www.restoringthemosaic.ca/
CHP TALKS: Mark Donnelly Sings ‘O Canada' at BC Freedom RallyMark Donnelly is well-known and much appreciated for using his great voice to lead the singing of ‘O Canada' at the opening of hockey games for the Vancouver Canucks from 2001 until a few days ago. On Dec. 4, 2020, he was severed from his role by team owner, Francesco Aquilini who announced it on his Twitter feed. The reason for his sudden dismissal was his announced intention to sing the national anthem at the BC Freedom Christmas Rally held in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery on Dec. 5. At the Rally, Mark not only sang the anthem, but gave a moving speech on the importance of defending our freedoms. Later in the program, he also sang a powerful rendition of ‘O Holy Night'. This week he spoke with CHP TALKS co-hosts, Rod Taylor and Peter Vogel in a wide-ranging conversation about his family, his music, his composing and his convictions. In 1968 he formed the band White Noise with Delia Derbyshire and Brian Hodgson of the Radiophonic Workshop. Their debut release, An Electric Storm, has since garnered cult status and is recognised by Island Records as being an important album in its genre. One of his early samples on the Fairlight CMI was of an orchestral stab, taken from a recording of Stravinsky's Firebird by the Philharmonia Orchestra, that has since become the most used sample in music history. As a bassist with no interest in playing keyboards, David developed the Kaleidophon ribbon controller and the Maniac analogue sequencer, something he has since rebuilt in digital form using Reaktor.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Noise_(band)Rob PuricelliRob Puricelli is a Music Technologist and Instructional Designer who has a healthy obsession with classic synthesizers and their history.
