Steelers fans can only hope the quick dispatch with which GM Omar Khan and his assistant Andy Weidl banished a trio of poor-preforming players the day after Super Bowl 58 is an indication of how speedily and shrewdly they plan to upgrade this roster. There was no real reason or benefit to make the moves on quarterback Mitch Trubisky, offensive tackle Chukwuma Okorafor and punter Pressley Harvin III so soon. He said while they're appreciative of the efforts of Mike Sullivan and Eddie Faulkner, the team will look externally for their next offensive coordinator and want somebody with play-calling experience. Bergin questions the decision by Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels to kick a field goal late in the fourth quarter trailing by eight points instead of going for it on fourth down in Steelers' territory. The guys also question the roughing-the-passer penalty called against Minkah Fitzpatrick. The Raiders weren't called for illegal hands to the face against Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett. 93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. Jeff reported that Kenny Pickett has seemed to take over the second spot on the QB depth chart. Jeff agreed the game speed didn't look like it impacted Pickett on Saturday and it seems like he's growing every single day at camp. Jeff expects Pickett to be the second quarterback to play on Saturday. Chris shifted the chat to Devin Bush and asked Jeff what impression the reporters had on his answers today. NFL Draft 2021 is in the books.  You really can't grade a draft for three years but think the local teams, Jets and Giants did well for themselves.   Aaron Judge has had two good days with two HR's and 8 RBI's and Jameson Taillon got his first win in exactly two years today 6-4 over the Tigers.  Kudos to Jayson Tatum for his 60 points last night as the Celtics came back from 29 at the half and beat the Spurs in OT 143-140.   Tied Larry Bird for single game scoring record in Celtics franchise history.  My new favorite rookie in the NFL, Steelers rookie punter Pressley Harvin III.

Pressley Harvin III has had a fairly singular football career. Looking at him, you'd think he plays linebacker, but the former Sumter High School star is in fact a punter.Last week, Harvin did something that has never been done before, as he was the first Black player to win the Ray Guy Award as the nation's top punter. However, he's always been one of a kind dating back to his high school days.We caught up with Pressley while he was on the road in Atlanta.
