Send us a textDoctor and psychiatrist, David Kopacz works with veterans providing holistic mental health in the primary care setting. He has a national VA teaching position as a Whole Health Education Champion — teaching VA staff about Whole Health and person-centered care. David has spoken internationally and developed classes on self-care and well-being for veterans, staff, and health professional students.Writing about staff wellness, trauma, post-traumatic growth, healing and spirituality, transformation, holistic health, and the healing power of story and creativity, David has authored several books. An ongoing collaboration with co-author, Joseph Rael (Beautiful Painted Arrow) explores a cooperative framework for healing through learning and cultural tradition. David is a painter, but he also considers the identity of artist more broadly, in that we are all artists looking for the right medium to work in. Art and creativity are often missing from medicine, but are vital dimensions of healing."Walking the Medicine Wheel: Healing Trauma & PTSD" is a deeply insightful book that blends indigenous wisdom, particularly from Native American traditions, with modern psychological approaches to healing trauma and PTSD. The author, Breene M. D., utilizes the Medicine Wheel — a sacred symbol representing cycles, balance, and healing — as a framework for understanding and addressing trauma. The book provides readers with a unique perspective on emotional and psychological recovery, encouraging readers to align their inner selves and restore balance in their lives.Through this healing journey, Breene explores the spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional aspects of trauma, and presents a holistic approach to restoring harmony. The book emphasizes mindfulness, self-compassion, and connecting with nature, along with addressing past trauma from a place of acceptance and strength. It serves as a guide for those who are working through PTSD and seeking to reconnect with their authentic selves.www.DavidKopacz.comResources:www.SoulAwakeningStore.comwww.claudiumurgan.comclaudiu@claudiumurgan.comhttps://spirituallyinspired.buzzsprout.comSubscribe for more videos! youtube.com/channel/UC6RlLkzUK_LdyRSV7DE6obQSupport the show

Message me with comments or questionsAfter experiencing a serious car accident and learning I was pre-diabetic despite maintaining a normal weight, I was forced to reevaluate everything I believed about nutrition and health. For years, I coached clients through emotional eating under the assumption that moderation and stable weight were enough. But my own health journey revealed the limitations of that thinking—our bodies often signal imbalances long before the scale does. This wake-up call pushed me to dive deeper into how food affects us beyond weight, especially as we age.As a result, The Breakthrough Emotional Eating Podcast is expanding in scope. While emotional eating remains at the heart of what we do, we'll now explore personalized nutrition with insights from a range of experts in health and fitness. This isn't about rigid rules or food restrictions—it's about tuning into your unique biochemistry and learning what truly supports your energy, vitality, and well-being. Karel Cast 25-002 I have paid over $150 a month for nine years to Nationwide Pet Insurance for their Whole Health with Wellness plan for Ember. Now, they have decided to not offer it in Nevada and CA, and other states, and are cancelling 300k policies. Not for nonpayment or too many claims, but just because they can. It's almost impossible to insure a senior pet, and they know it. So why not leave people with the policies grandfathered in and just not offer them going forward? Greed. Pure and simple. And they are blaming vets for “rising costs…” Like THEY are not partially to blame for these rising costs. THIS is what's wrong with USA. Corporations, not people, not government, Corporations run it all and do what they want. And if your pet dies because of it, so what. Why is the state of health in this country in such flux? Why are there so many medical errors? Would you like to feel more in control of your health? Would you like to feel better and more vibrant every day? Today's guest is Mark Mincolla, Ph.D. He is a natural health care practitioner who has transformed the lives of thousands of people for many decades. Dr. Mincolla has integrated ancient Chinese energy techniques with cutting-edge nutritional science in what has become his Whole Health Healing System, which includes the innovative Electromagnetic Muscle Testing system (EMT). Dr. Mincolla uses elements of classical Chinese medicine, personalized nutrition, and extrasensory energy medicine, while inspiring, empowering, and teaching people how to attain balance in body, mind, and spirit. He talks about how to tap into our own instincts for healing. This involves our thoughts and energy signatures. We are born with innate healing abilities which we can further develop. Many people shun their abilities and tend to believe everything that doctors and healthcare professionals tell them. He talks about how we can find our answers as well. Dr. Mincolla explains about acupuncture points in our hands which neutralize stress and help for better sleep. He discusses mental Chi Gong and how we can use our intentions for healing. Our thoughts can move energy. Our thoughts produce chemistry. Using positive words all have a neurological value which can also help with healing. Tune into your thoughts. Aim to replace negative thoughts with positive words. Each word has a different energy signature which can change and alter your nervous system. We need to be involved in our own health. You can empower yourself, balance your own energies, and heal! Dr. Mincolla is the author of “Whole Health: A Holistic Approach to Healing for the 21st Century.” Info: www.MarkMincolla.com

Let's talk about whole health. While there isn't a "one-size-fits-all" approach to health, incorporating a healthy balance of mental, physical, and spiritual well-being is guaranteed to jumpstart your health journey. No matter what this looks like for you, whether you prefer a more protein vs. plant-based diet, hitting it hard at the gym vs. walking your dog around the neighborhood, or yoga and meditation vs. journaling and prayer, the three pillars of health - mind, body, and soul - are essential to not just your recovery journey, but your overall health and wellness. In this episode, you'll get an inside look into Dr. Powers's daily habits, which have guided him to the healthiest version of himself yet. Dr. Powers shares how he found emotional balance when he first started his yoga journey, the many benefits of daily sauna time, and how meditation led him to observe negative thought patterns objectively and toward a journey of self-acceptance. Building on these foundations, Dr. Powers also discusses the role of community and support systems in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, highlighting how connection with others can provide motivation, accountability, and a sense of belonging. When you surround yourself with others on a similar journey, you create an enriching experience that everyone can benefit from. Topics Discussed: Emphasizing self-acceptance as a foundation for progress How physical balance can shape your emotional balance Focusing on an enriching diet & daily exercise for healthy living Meditation's role in overcoming negative mental patterns Why social connections are your best resource for personal growth Connect with us on Social! Whitney Prude is a highly skilled and dedicated board-certified clinical pharmacist with a doctorate in pharmacy from Roseman University of Health and Sciences. She is also a certified wellness authority, holding certifications as a Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coach and a nationally certified Health and Wellness Coach. Whitney is currently an inpatient clinical pharmacist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and the CEO of Whole and Happy Living, a company she founded to promote health and wellness through coaching, education, and medication review. Whitney Prude shares her story of hope, starting from her teenage years when her parents went through a devastating divorce. She explains how she buried her emotions and focused on becoming a pharmacist, only to realize later that she wasn't as okay as she thought. Whitney opens up about her struggles with physical health, including chronic pain and autoimmune diseases, and how she decided to transform her pain into something that could benefit others. She discusses the importance of addressing mental and emotional wellness alongside physical health and highlights the need to get to the root cause of health issues rather than relying on quick fixes. Whitney also provides an overview of her Whole Health Transformation Program, which focuses on mental and emotional well-being, nutrition education, and customized plans for each individual. Key Takeaways: Life doesn't always turn out as expected, and challenges can arise unexpectedly. Mental and emotional well-being are just as important as physical health in achieving overall wellness. Quick fixes and medications may have their place, but addressing the root cause of health issues is crucial for long-term success. The Whole Health Transformation Program emphasizes personalized nutrition education, mindful eating, and healing the body to achieve sustainable weight loss and overall health. "Let's get to the root cause. Yes, there's a place for medications, and sometimes they're necessary, sometimes they're absolutely essential."
