It is a pleasure to welcome author, lifestyle coach, and motivational speaker Kate Gladdin as a guest to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Kate left her corporate career in 2013 to create a Travel Safety Education Program for Australian high schools. The program highlights the devastating consequences of taking risks in foreign countries. The Australian Government and the National Corporations now support a campaign she began as a devastated sister alone in her room. Her passion for making a difference has not gone unrecognized. Kate has won various awards and accolades, including being featured alongside Kelly Slater on Arianna Huffington's website, THRIVE, as one of Tourism Fiji's “Bulanaires” – a title that celebrates those rich in happiness rather than money. Kate Gladdin's latest book, Okay, Now What, presents a road map for resilience. It is an easy-to-follow, three-step plan that uses the three Rs—recognize, reflect, and redirect – to help readers take back control over any circumstance they face. She also hosts a podcast with the same name: a go-to podcast for all things mental health, confidence, mindset, and productivity. On this episode of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Kate Gladdin spoke about being named one of Australia's Top 100 Women of Influence and launching Okay Now What into the podcasting world. In this episode of the Going Dutch podcast, host Randa Stratton-Dutcher interviews Jeff Vukobratovich, a former gym owner turned real estate entrepreneur. Jeff reflects on his journey from building a fitness community through his gyms to transitioning into real estate after feeling burnt out. He emphasizes the importance of balancing personal development, family, and professional aspirations. Jeff shares insights about the value of resilience, cultivating meaningful relationships, and staying committed to routines that support physical and mental well-being. He also discusses his ongoing mission to inspire others through a forthcoming life coaching program, encouraging authenticity and incremental growth in overcoming challenges. Jeff Vukobratovich is a 39-year-old Arizona native born and raised in Gilbert and currently residing in Queen Creek. I'm happily married to my incredible wife, Jessica, and am the proud father of two daughters, aged 4 and 8. For over a decade, I've been deeply involved in the fitness industry, owning two gyms from 2010 to 2022. My passion for fitness coaching eventually intersected with the world of real estate in 2020. In April 2022, I made the strategic decision to sell my gyms and pivot entirely to real estate. Today, along with my two partners, I am on a mission to revolutionize the real estate market. But my interests don't stop there; I am also devoted to personal development, life hacking, and helping others unlock their full potential. Along with balancing my career ambitions, I place a high emphasis on family, aiming to raise two strong, educated women and build the healthiest marriage possible. I'm also in the early stages of developing a life coaching program, with more details to come at the beginning of next year. I've had an incredible few months—delivering a TEDx talk, launching my book, and publishing articles in a major online outlet. But then, everything slowed down last week. Book sales dipped, no interviews were scheduled for that week, and I grappled with the emptiness in front of me. Instead of embracing the stillness, I resisted it—until I remembered that everything happens in this empty space, uncertainty is my greatest ally, and endless possibilities are born from it. Tune in for the full story on how I reconnected with joy and the power of Maybe, and find inspiration to keep your dreams alive, not by grasping, but by allowing life's beautiful new possibilities to unfold.
Send us a textToday marks the first time in QB Dadcast history that we have invited a guest back onto the podcast. In our first conversation in 2021, we learned about Bill, the father of two athletic kids, and the value of hard work from his hardworking parents, who always taught him to finish what you start. Bill shares his stories of playing quarterback for Coach Nick Saban and tells a fantastic story of a teachable lesson about attention to detail and the slight edge while playing for him. Coach Saban shared a great piece of advice that Bill now shares with his kids, "outcomes are distractions," which allows them to focus on the process. Can visualization techniques transform your life beyond sports? In today's conversation, Bill will share his inspiring journey of writing "Victory Outside the Arena." Bill offers essential advice for athletes transitioning from the world of sports to new horizons, reflecting deeply on his relationship with his father and the priceless moments of parenthood. Delving into the rigorous process of writing a book while balancing family and a demanding career, Bill and I discuss the power of visualization and motivational strategies. Learn how visualizing the book cover early on and imagining endorsements from influential figures like Nick Saban kept us focused and disciplined. This conversation underscores the importance of staying present for our families and using visualization to achieve long-term goals, both in writing and personal development.Lastly, you will love Bill's story as he recounts a memorable football game against Ohio State; we draw valuable lessons in accountability from Coach Nick Saban. Please celebrate with us as we honor Bill's recent achievements and the impactful messages of his book. This episode is a heartfelt tribute to legacy, personal growth, and the enduring significance of being present as parents and leaders. Please don't forget to leave us a review wherever you consume your podcasts! Justine Martin Resilience means having the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties and to show toughness. This definition has been the cornerstone of Justine Martins' extraordinary journey over the last decade, a journey no one could fathom, but in Justine's words, this journey has changed her for the better. Justine uses her learned experiences of overcoming adversities to help others gain their own resilience. 2011, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, underwent three heart surgeries, and then had three primary cancers at once. She was told she would never work again by a medical professional. But that was never an option for her. Justine catapulted herself into the world of business. She not only changed her life to give it purpose and direction but also inspired those around her with her story. After learning how to paint and use her art as therapy, she has become a multi-award-winning artist and found the strength and determination to take control of her financial future. She now owns and runs seven businesses: JUZT Art, Resilience Mindset, Van–Go Decals, Morpheus Publishing, Team Fingerprint, Geelong Residential Cleaners, and Justine Martin Speaker, all being under the umbrella of Justine Martin Corporation. Justine believes her story gives other people hope in their own lives. Doing what she does gives her life purpose. While her story becomes someone else's survival guide. In this episode, Justine explains that while we are ‘Instagram perfect,' we have lost our authenticity and who we are individually. Why we are extra hard on ourselves as we see it as a failure because we are not living a perfect life? She shares strategies to build resilience in your own life so that when you are facing adversity, you have the coping mechanisms to bounce forward. Remember you can't build resilience by yourself. Our guest Katey Armstrong comes to us with a unique perspective on living alcohol free. Unlike most of our guests Katey didn't grow up struggling with her relationship with alcohol. Katey was actually only an occasional drinker who never really enjoyed it. What Katey did always struggle with, were the objections she continually got every time she said "No" to drinking. 3 years ago Katey realized there was no real reason for her to continue to consume alcohol, she didn't enjoy it nor did it align with her lifestyle as a health & wellness coach, so she gave it up completely. Katey explains to us how she finally found her voice after years of continuing to say "No" to alcohol. It's no surprise that Katey has found many sober curious people gravitating towards her now, as she is a perfect example of what it looks like to be living an abundantly energetic alcohol free life!Follow Katey in Instagram https://www.instagram.com/healthyevolutionbykatey/Check out her website: https://healthyevolution.ca/**Please remember to: Like, Subscribe and leave us a 5-star rating or review.
