I was thinking about how today, in the world because people don't know this. This means they don't know that Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Everything emanates from Him. They try to solve the problems of life through their own devices. They make adjustments—politically, economically, physically, socially—and all of them create more complications. That is, when we try to solve our problems through our own intellects, we always create more problems. This is something Prahlād Mahārāj mentions in his prayers to Lord Nṛsiṁhadev, that the so-called remedies of this world are often times worse than the disease itself. And so, while I was reading the Puruṣa Sūkta, I was thinking how the ultimate solution to life always traces back to what Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad-gītā: "man-manā bhava mad-bhakto (18.65) – Just remember Me." In the Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Kavirāja Gosvāmī mentions that if you remember Lord Caitanya, then difficult things become easy. And if you forget Him, then what should become simple becomes very complicated (CC Adi 14.1).Near the end of the Puruṣa Sūkta, it is mentioned in a benedictory verse that anyone who becomes aware of The Supreme Puruṣa, who is the source of this manifested world, becomes liberated. It's something that Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad-gītā also, everything's there in the Gītā, right? Today, I'm going to tell you how to get rid of bloating. After you chew your food, it travels through the esophagus and into the stomach. The stomach is very acidic to break down proteins and kill microbes. Ninety percent of digestion occurs in the small intestine, where bile and secondary bile salts made by your microbes break down your food. The large intestine, small intestine, and pancreas release enzymes to aid digestion. Around 20% of these enzymes are made by your microbes. Bloating is caused by a problem with digestion. The type, amount, and diversity of your gut bacteria directly affect bloating. This often depends on if you've taken antibiotics and how much you've taken over time. Broad-spectrum antibiotics significantly reduce your microbes, and they do not come back! If you're missing any of your gut microbes, you'll experience bloating, gas, burping, constipation, and more. Other chemicals in the environment that mimic antibiotics can also cause a bloated belly. Glyphosate, birth control pills, steroids, anti-depression medications, PPIs, artificial sweeteners, fluoride, and statins can all contribute to bloating. So many people can not properly digest food anymore because they don't have all of their microbes in sufficient quantities. A high-quality probiotic is a great solution to bloating. We live in a world where most people are either working from home or sitting at their office desks all day. Lack of time for exercise is the most common excuse for our physical unfitness, which puts our physical fitness and health at risk. But the truth is, we don't need a lot of time to exercise. My guest argues that modern medicine is not in the process of ending cancer; rather, we are accelerating the problem. Sam and Emma host Jonah Furman of Labor Notes and author of the Who Gets The Bird? newsletter on SubStack to discuss the recent negotiations between rail workers, railroad companies, and the Biden administration. Then they are joined by investigative reporter Seth Harp to discuss his recent reporting surrounding the recent deaths and opioid abuse at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Emma and Sam first run through updates on the Fed's plan to discipline labor by tanking the economy into a recession, migrants file a class-action suit against DeSantis for his stunt, and DeSantis discusses his “Ultimate Solution.” Jonah Furman then joins as they get right into the three-year leadup to last Thursday's sudden climax of a potential rail strike in the US, walking through separate processes for labor organizing in the rail industry, the need for a 30-day cool-off period, and why Biden got involved, before parsing through the federal deal recommended and why it got so much pushback from the various railway unions. Next, he, Sam, and Emma explore how the rail industry came to be under different processes, with 19th Century unrest leading to the 1926 Railway Labor Act that works to keep the country's infrastructure moving, and leading up to the conditions we see today, where workers are expected to constantly be on call with no right to call out for an emergency and the workforce getting cut more and more while production increases. After a brief conversation on the role of monopoly and the leverage that the federal government could hold in this situation, they wrap up by tackling the state of their strike fund, and where this action is likely to head next. Emma is then joined by Seth Harp to get into the developing controversy coming out of the Fort Bragg military base, with a series of murders and executions piling up from 2020 through 2021 alongside increased overdoses and various drug possession and dealing charges all coming out of an institution that was supposedly the pinnacle of US Special Operations, with JSOC, Green Berets, and more all stationed there. They tackle the history of the US Military and Special Operations in mass drug trafficking, the incredible autonomy and power held by these unelected officials, and how this controversy encapsulates the myriad failures of the US Wars on Terror and Drugs.
