Ever wonder how you can live a life of peace amidst the turmoil? In my latest episode, I explore the profound messages in Psalms 16 and 32, demonstrating how placing God at the center of our lives can offer us peace even in the face of adversity. Together we explore the importance of viewing God as our chosen and assigned portion, our cup, and how this perspective can change the way we live our lives. Even in situations where our physical realities may seem harsh, we discuss how the Lord can anchor us to a peace that surpasses understanding. But our discussion doesn't stop there. We also delve into the comforting power of faith in God. Trusting in Him, we discover, is a potent source of solace and satisfaction. As we traverse the inspiring terrain of Psalms 32, we uncover the liberating truth that no matter how great our external trials may be, they cannot reach the spirit within us. This episode is a faith-fortifying journey that will encourage and inspire you to lean into God's word. So, invite your family, your friends, and let's experience the strength and encouragement that can only come from the divine together.Support the showLike, follow, subscribe, and drop an encouraging comment below

Thanks for helping us continue to create great content!  At ECTC 2023, which took place earlier this month, the password was hybrid bonding. In this episode, you'll hear from our member companies that specialize in hybrid bonding solutions: Adeia, EV Group, and Onto Innovation. You'll also hear about a novel die-to-wafer process technology from CEA Leti, and an alternative to Die-to-wafer hybrid bonding being developed by the UCLA CHIPS program.   Thomas Uhrmann, Markus Wimplinger, and Dave Kirsch, EVGroup, talk about the company's capabilities in supporting both wafer-to-wafer hybrid bonding, and the work being done at the Heterogeneous Integration Competency Center in Austria.  Adeia's Laura Mirkarimi and Abul Nuruzzaman, pioneers of hybrid bonding, help dispel some misconceptions about the commercialization of Die-to-wafer hybrid bonding. They talk about the advantages of investing in not only the technology license but the technology transfer. Monica Pau, Onto Innovation, talks about the events focused on hybrid bonding, but also some insights into glass core IC substrates, and Onto Innovation's capabilities in both. Emilie Bourjot, CEA-Leti, describes a novel self-assembly process that allows for improved alignment accuracy and increased throughput during die-to-wafer hybrid bonding. Subu Iyer, of UCLA CHIPS, offers a new approach to copper-to-copper thermocompression bonding that he says provides an alternative to die-to-wafer hybrid bonding. Next up on the 3D InCites Podcast: On July 6, Dave Thomas, of KLA's SPTS division will talk about the advantages of plasma dicing for die-to-wafer hybrid bonding. Join me as we delve into Deuteronomy 8:2, emphasizing the importance of remembering that we are not alone in our journey – we are being led by the Lord and can trust that God is faithfully working on our behalf. There's a paradox when it comes to success with God, as it often completely contradicts with what the world calls success. We'll explore how the perfect love of God sometimes calls us to carry loss and pain, rather than the victory and comfort we might expect. God is with us, leading us through our wilderness seasons, offering opportunities to experience His presence in a more real and tangible way. To set the scene, we are in Provence. The Mediterranean is lapping at the shore a mere stone's throw away... In these parts, growing vines is the legacy of ancient times. Alas, a short while before Marcel Ott's discovery, phylloxera had wreaked havoc on the vines. The land was cheaper, but the vineyards would have to be replanted. The wine had lost a great deal of its soul in the vineyard's reconstruction. Marcel Ott bought several estates and began renovating them with the determined ambition to create great Provencal wines from noble grape varieties. Today, 120 years later, cousins Christian and Jean-François Ott dedicate their life to their ancestor's love for the site. At Flowers, the believe in crafting distinctive and complex wines that truly reflect a sense of place. With this bottle, they are pleased to share the layers of bright citrus-fruit and coastal minerality that are expressive of the Sonoma Coast.Flowers WineryOver 25 years ago, Flowers Vineyards and Winery pioneered the growing of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the rugged coastal ridges of the extreme Sonoma Coast. Joan and Walt Flowers had a simple goal, to make exceptional wine that captures the wild beauty of the land and the spirit of the Sonoma Coast. This idea continues to drive everything we do - farming responsibly, harvesting by hand, using 100% native fermentation, and making wine with minimal intervention. Our unwavering commitment to crafting distinctive wines that capture the spirit of the Sonoma Coast has been the bedrock of our success, and it will continue to drive us forward for years to come.  Perched on top of soaring coastal ridges that border the nearby Pacific Ocean, our estate vineyards, Camp Meeting Ridge and Sea View Ridge, rise to impressive elevations from 1,150 to 1,875 feet. Flowers resides in the Fort Ross-Seaview American Viticulture Area (AVA), which was established in 2012 and located on the extreme western edge of the Sonoma Coast Appellation. Defined by elevation, rugged terrain and proximity to the Pacific Ocean, vineyard plantings are limited to 920-1,800+ft above sea level and are only 2% of the total AVA acreage. The Pacific Ocean is less than two miles from the vineyards, generating cooling sea breezes and coastal fog while the soaring elevations ensure abundant sunshine for a long, slow growing season. Together they create an ideal environment for elegant and nuanced Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.Support the showLike the Show? Every Coffee Helps!https://www.buymeacoffee.com/DrinkSomething

In the Stresses of Life God can Still be Trusted

When Life Is Stressful We Can Still Trust In GodFriends, I am honored you are here. I pray you find encouragement as you listen. When the winds of life continue to blow it's easy for us to become tired. Tiredness ushers in doubt, and doubt, brings with it feelings of hopelessness. These are normal human emotions and a fairly normal cycle to fall into during seasons of persistent difficulty. When stresses are high it doesn't seem to take much work to believe the negative reality around us that looks so real. A doubt-filled perspective becomes almost too easy to ignore. When we begin to accept the negative perspective as truth, that will not only affect our current state of mind, but also, our current view of God. This is why it's so important that we continually persevere in clinging to the right beliefs about God, especially, in times of intense pressure. Even when we cannot make sense of what we are we are walking through, we can hold fast to who our God is. This is interesting, because, maintaining our right belief about God really isn't tied to our circumstances… at all. This is hopeful for us, because, there is a space where we can rest in His goodness while everything around us shakes. There is peace in the unknown, because what is known to us, is enough. There is the “normal” life, where we cycle in and out of endless insecurity and doubting the goodness of God. Or there is, as Watchmen Nee says, “the “normal” Christian life”, where we rest in the assurance of who He is despite what happens. So today, as you are facing your own personal stresses and tensions all tempting to lead into the easy path of hopeless doubt, choose trust. Choose it, because you don't have to have all the answers to know that God is good. Choose trust, because there is more for you than a life of being a tired soul only beaten up by the struggle. You can be built up by it too!Support the showLike, follow, subscribe, and drop an encouraging comment below

You will ALWAYS find her with a great hat, or two! I was surprised by her humility and personable nature when I spoke with her. She is a genuinely kind and person whose heart has stayed snuggled up with the Lord even as she has catapulted into success. I've heard it said, that failure is easier to handle than success. I believe that's true. We need extra caution and preparation to be mature enough to handle God-given success. All glory is God's, and we as humans really struggle to keep the main thing, the main thing. Misty, is the CEO of Spark Media, the By His Grace & Spark Influence Podcast on KHCB Radio, and an award winning author, of, The Struggle is Real but So is God Bible Study. Misty uses her natural ability to draw people together by helping faith based podcasters become equipped to face the ever changing world of technology and podcasting. She assists us both in staying afloat, by providing practical tools, teachings, and mastermind groups, as well as, encouraging and uplifting fellow podcasters. She is a seasoned entrepreneur whose awesome husband is right by her side. Happy Friday! Last week, we got to hear an incredible account of how the Gospel message fits into our human struggle with depression. My friend, Steven, who is the host, of, The Nook Podcast, came on and shared about his struggle with clinical depression. Not only was it eye opening, but, encouraging. Today, with great honor, and permission, Steven, has allowed me to share an episode of his that took place during a rock bottom experience with his depression.  This is a beautiful portrayal of the human experience during a season of deep struggle. Not only that, it is a picture of the suffering and struggling Christian. A picture that is too often avoided, ignored, and not addressed. We want to separate Christianity from hardship and prolonged sorrow. We want to believe that following Jesus means no more assaults on our souls, but in truth, the God we serve, does allow pain and sorrow in His children's lives. Along with this hard reality, we have hope! An unending hope, one that promises the faithful presence of God during every moment of our time below the dark waters. Steven, is a remarkable man. I was bolstered so much by speaking with him. He also addresses the stigma surrounding mental illness. This is an episode you will not want to miss. Support the showLike, follow, subscribe, and drop an encouraging comment below

He planted vineyards and constructed a winery of redwood and native limestone in time to produce the first vintage of Monte Bello in 1892. The historic building now serves as the Ridge production facility.Though Ridge began as a Cabernet winery, by the mid-60s, it had produced several Zinfandels including the Geyserville. In 1972, Lytton Springs joined the line-up and the two came to represent an important part of Ridge production. Known primarily for its red wines, Ridge has also made limited amounts of Chardonnay since 1962.The Ridge approach is straightforward: find the most intense and flavorful grapes, guide the natural process, draw all the fruit's richness into the wine. Decisions on when to pick, when to press, when to rack, what varietals and what parcels to include and when to bottle, are based on taste. To retain the nuances that increase complexity, Ridge winemakers handle the grapes and wine as gently as possible. There are no recipes, only attention and sensitivity.Support the showLike the Show? Harlan's most luxurious and robust Pinot Noirs, with deep, penetrating flavors of ripe plum, black cherry and cassis. As it unfurls, the wine reveals beautiful underlying complexity, with fine-grained tannins and hints of white pepper, sassafras and cigar box lingering on the finish.Calera WineryIn 1975, legendary vintner and American wine pioneer Josh Jensen founded Calera (Spanish for “lime kiln”) high in the remote Gavilan Mountains of California's windswept Central Coast. There, in Mt. Harlan's low-yielding, limestone-rich soils and cool, arid climate, he began planting what would ultimately become six small estate vineyards. Today, these vineyards are recognized as some of the New World's most revered Pinot Noir sites.Calera is a vision, and Calera's wines truly express the sense of place. Rather than follow the recommended path, Josh Jensen became a pioneer in American Pinot Noir. Taking his cue from the great domaines of Burgundy, which have grown grapes in limestone soil for centuries, he set out in search of the perfect spot in California to create wines unique to the world but in the style of the greatest wines of France. Site selection was vital as he ventured off the grid to plant on the site of an old limekiln in the Gavilan Mountains of California's Central Coast. Under the stewardship of Winemaker Mike Waller, each vineyard is renowned for producing singular wines of uncommon purity, elegance and aging potential. In addition to its beloved single-vineyard wines, Calera partners with some of the top vineyards on California's majestic Central Coast to make Calera's beautiful Central Coast wines, including a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.#wine, #winepodcast, #wineeducation, #Redwine, #Calera, #calerawine, #calerawinery, #joshjensen, #somm, #spokanesomm, #ilovewine, #ilikewine, #Support the showLike the Show? Friends, the special guests just keep coming! Boy! Has God blessed me this past couple months with some amazing testimony's and new friendships. Today, I get the privilege of sharing an interview I did with Lana Scroggins. Lana's story is one of radical faith, the kind that Just's steps out in total trust even the situation is dark, along with the personal hand of God taking care of every detail. Lana is also a podcaster, artist, author, and speaker. She can be found on the web at https://givingjesus.com. Her podcast can be found on her website as well. Lana shared with us the pain of homelessness and financial distress. She is honest about how she lived when she had nothing and kept hope. She has an undying love for God and helps us to understand the courage it takes to follow Him, especially when things look impossible. God has an unlimited range of using anything to bring together His will and desire for our lives. Control is an illusion that we often fall prey to. We believe we can control things, or need too. We fall into the wrong thinking that we can manipulate God or His will. When things get hard we find it so easy to blame, question, and threaten to quit. One thing I am thankful for (and there's a lot) is the testimonies of the faithful. Both, in scripture, from the past, and today. Stories of hardship and despair told by those who know God and chose, despite their sorrow, to hold onto the truth is SO ENCOURAGING. Let this episode refresh and enliven your trust and confidence on Jesus. He has a good plan for your life and loves you! That cannot ever change. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ God is forever, only good. Hope walks on, no matter what.Support the showLike, follow, subscribe, and drop an encouraging comment below

Christi has NO idea what's going on! (Big surprise, right?)Tasting a wine blind can be a terrifying experience, as we all fear looking foolish- but Christi's greatest gift is knowing how much she doesn't know, and being fine with that! Join us as we learn to trust our sense, learn that we never know it all, and most of all, take the fear out of wine! It's time to Pop in the Earbuds, Pour yourself a Glass, and join us as we Drink Something AMAZING!......Winemaker NotesWhile it may bear the “lowly” designation of Côtes-du-Rhône, think of it as mini-Marcoux. Lithe and spicy, it is a Grenache-dominant cuvée from two sites just north of the boundary of Châteauneuf-du-Pape: Maucoil and Bois Lauzon. There are small and varying percentages of Mourvedre, Cinsault and Syrah added to the Grenache each vintage.Domaine de MarcouxOfficial French records indicate that the Armenier family has been tending vines in Chateauneuf-du-Pape since the 1300's. Today, winemaker-sisters Catherine Armenier and Sophie Estevenin continue to write history with the wines of Domaine de Marcoux. In 1990, the Domaine became the first in the Chateauneuf-du-Pape to implement biodynamic farming practices. Their youngest vines are 40 to 60-years-old, and in short, the sisters do as little as possible to the harvested grapes. This domaine, as critic Stephen Tanzer put it, is "the essence of Chateauneuf-du-Pape."In 2003, Robert Parker named Sophie and Catherine on his list of "Wine Personalities of Year"Domaine De Marcoux Cotes Du Rhone Red 2018Rhone, FranceGrenache, Syrah & Mouvedre14.5% abv$28.99 average priceBuy This Wine!#Wine, #Redwine, #Somm, #SpokaneSomm, #SommThing, #Sommelier, #winefun, #DrinkSomethingAmazing, #Winepodcast, #WineEducation, #France, #FrenchWine, #Rhone, #DomaineDeMarcoux, #GSMBlends, #Cotesdurhone, #winetasting, #rhonewineSupport the showLike the Show? Don't Stay Stuck!Today on the show, I have a special friend on air with me. Her name is, Crystal Loyd. She has quite a compelling testimony. Crystal came on the show and shared her story; years of sexual abuse, trauma, family lies, and the goodness of God. It's funny how often the goodness of God is associated right there in the midst of the terrible. Testimony after testimony, there it is again. His goodness right in the center of our mess. Ask anyone who is a hardcore Jesus lover, they will say the same thing. God is good. He never left me. He had His hand on me and my life. Crystal's life is a resounding picture of the staying power of our Heavenly Father. She tells us of running from God and His hot pursuit. Crystal shares how she kept her running shoes close by as she walked with Him. Do you do this? Trust Him a little but always have a backup plan? I know this is a struggle for me as I try to grow up with the Lord. Trust requires a letting go and an embrace of the unknown. Trust says, we can't rely on feelings in the place of truth. That we must choose to place our life, needs, heart, and all else into the hands of God. That is, and can be, very frightening. Crystal explains this struggle well. She has empathy and understanding of the fear that often accompanies our faith. Friend, if you are feeling defeated by your past and hopeless regarding your future, what do you have to lose??Tune in, to the, Weeds Seeds and Beautiful Things Podcast to be encouraged and exhorted to live submitted to God, even though there is a big cost. There will never be a perfect time to trust in God. Nor, will there ever be a you that's fully ready. But God! He is always ready to work and able to do! He doesn't need you to be “ready” He only asks that you come. You are loved and cared about. Maybe you haven't experienced that from your family or peers like you should have. Maybe you feel alone, defeated, or without help. God, will not ever leave you or forsake you, and He loves you.
