I have been waiting to share this testimony with you. I was not just delivered but the Lord just put it on my heart to share the story. Life with Him is so freeing and that is literally what I received being saved by Him, F R E E D O M. This is not just a story about stopping to smoke but it also includes how my community was a key part in the process because there was NEVER any judgement, there was a lot of pray AND acceptance of who I was WHILE the Lord was transforming me. I pray this truly brings hope into your heart for any deliverance you are praying for!!! Can you imagine having a stronghold for 37 years and after prayer and a desire to truly serve God, he cuts it off? As it is said moreover, you need a strong gospel to come out of that devilish lifestyle. Not only was sister Christol was delivered from smoking cigarettes for 37 years, she was also delivered from drinking alcohol for 37 years and gambling for a decade or 2. She lost about $150 000 gambling!!! My God sister Christol came a mighty long way. Keep sister Christol, her family, myself and my family in prayer so that we can continue to strive and hold on to God's unchanging hand in this hard holy way. Envision a life where you gracefully surpass the age of 100, untouched by the afflictions that typically accompany old age — no battles with debilitating diseases, no encounters with cancer, no navigating each step with the constant fear of stumbling and facing a hip-breaking incident. In a captivating discussion with Dr. Steven Gundry, I explore the secrets of the world's blue zones, where vitality remains a constant companion, and thriving well beyond what is conventionally deemed "your best years" is not a distant dream but a tangible reality. Dr. Gundry is one of the world's top cardiothoracic surgeons and a pioneer in nutrition. He hosts the top-rated health show, The Dr. Gundry Podcast, is the founder and director of The International Heart and Lung Institute Center for Restorative Medicine, and is the founder of Gundry MD, a line of wellness products and supplements. After a distinguished surgical career as a professor and chairman of cardiothoracic surgery at Loma Linda University, Dr. Gundry changed his focus to curing modern diseases via dietary changes. He is the author of New York Times bestsellers, including The Plant Paradox, The Plant Paradox Cookbook, The Plant Paradox Quick & Easy, and The Longevity Paradox, along with national bestsellers such as The Plant Paradox Family Cookbook, The Energy Paradox, Dr. Gundry's Diet Evolution, and Unlocking the Keto Code. Additionally, he has had more than 300 articles published in peer-reviewed journals on using diet and supplements to eliminate heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune disease, and multiple other diseases. Dr. Gundry's latest book, which he and I discuss on this episode, is Gut Check: Unleash the Power of Your Microbiome to Reverse Disease and Transform Your Mental, Physical, and Emotional Health. Previous podcasts with Dr. Gundry include: "How to Die Young at a Ripe Old Age: The Longevity Paradox & The 7 Deadly Myths Of Aging" "The Truth About Lectins And The Plant Paradox By Dr. Steven Gundry" In today's episode, join Dr. Gundry and me in uncovering topics for a long, healthy life, such as Okinawan food fermentation, Sardinian smoking, the benefits of goat and sheep products, and best practices for a vibrant existence. Sadly, the American Heart Association has taken over the conversation around nutrition. Since 1948, they have been pumping out many publications that seem like “science,” but it is complete propaganda. Americans are eating more seed oils, and it's making us obese. We are going backward in terms of our ability to make people healthy. Read Dr. Cate's blog on the subject! Cholesterol Is Good, The American Heart Association is Bad: https://drcate.com/why-cholesterol-is-good/ The Problems With Industrial Seed Oils Seed oils have a lot of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). They biochemically are easily attacked by oxygen, and they become toxic. Foods cooked in seed oils, like french fries, have some of the same toxins you inhale when you inhale cigarette smoke. For instance, both french fries and cigarettes have the same amount of crotonaldehyde. There are eight seed oils that you should avoid called The Hateful Eight: Canola Corn Cottonseed Soy Sunflower Safflower Grapeseed Rice bran Learn more about The Hateful Eight on Dr. Cate's Website! The Hateful Eight: Enemy Fats That Destroy Your Health: https://drcate.com/the-hateful-eight-enemy-fats-that-destroy-your-health/ Differences Between Refined and Unrefined Peanut Oil Peanut oil has a good amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids in it. However, it has been cultivated specifically for use as food. The cultivation of an oil seed makes it more oily. Olives have become more oily over time; the same goes for peanuts. You don't need to treat peanuts with harsh chemicals to extract oil. Dr. Cate recommends unrefined peanut oil. There are a lot of antioxidants in there that stabilize the PUFAs during cooking. Peanut oil that is refined is okay because it's better than seed oils; however, it doesn't have much nutrition, and it's not as heat stable. If Dr. Cate had to recommend one cooking method, it would be to cook your food in tallow. Vegetable Oils Are Worse Than Smoking Cigarettes The toxicity begins and ends with the beginning and end of your cigarette. Vegetable oils will end up in your body fat; this adds a whole other layer of metabolic impacts beyond the direct toxic effects. Vegetable oils are worse than sugar too. Sugar and high fructose corn syrup are full of empty calories. When you break down sugar, your body can't tell where the molecules come from. Those empty calories will turn into normal body fat. Humans have carried normal body fat around for a long time. Sadly, many people walk around with 40% PUFAs in their body fat. How Can You Avoid Seed Oils While Eating Out? Ask them to cook your food in natural butter, not butter oil. Ask them for real olive oil if they don't have real butter. If they don't have butter or olive oil, they can cook your food using a different method, like steaming. Then, it would help if you took out the carbs. You can get a taco salad at Taco Bell without the shell. The shell has loads of vegetable oils in them. When you go to Taco Bell for salad, you can top it with meat, cheese, and avocado. Ben will tell the waiter that he is allergic to vegetable oils so that the restaurant staff will take the request seriously. Questions and Answers How can we release the PUFAs from stored fats in our bodies? The more you burn your body fat, the more it will happen. Fasting will accelerate the process. Stop snacking between meals and eat foods that give you sustainable energy. What about essential oils? Traditional nuts and fruits have good fatty acid profiles. Essential oils won't get absorbed through the bloodstream if you use them on your skin. How long will it take omega-3 to leave the body? It will be stored in your body fat for around 18 months. This time could be longer, depending on your body fat. A major drop in national smoking rates means Smoke-Free 2025 is looking much more attainable. The annual New Zealand Health Survey shows about one in eight adults smoke cigarettes daily, making it one of the lowest in the world. There has also been a drop in smoking rates for Maori, with women now less likely to smoke daily than men. ASH Director Ben Youdan says the big drop is very, very encouraging. He says it's not just about getting the whole population's smoking rate down, it's about getting the rates for the most vulnerable populations down. The boys discuss the final entry in the "Monks" section of the season: Karl's pick of Yukio Mishima's The Temple of the Golden Pavilion. They talk about Mishima's fascinating life, the ins and outs of Zen Buddhism and how its ideas relate to the book's narrative, and problems of size, scale, and beauty in the book. Note from Karl regarding the discussion of Zen meditation: "At one point I say that 'zazen meditation it literally means 'just sitting' you're just supposed to sit and meditate...' I was thinking of shikantaza, which is a sub-form of zazen. Also, in Sōtō Zen that's true that no koan/sutra is needed but in other schools (Rinzai) what I said is false." Theme Music: "Shostakovich," by Mucca Pazza.

Even though cigarettes can kill you, I still can remember - decades later - the ritual of smoking them. And sometimes, I actually have little flickers of memories of the ritual and wonder if I would smoke cigarettes again if ever a *healthy* and *non-stinky* version of cigarettes were made. It won't prevent teens from later becoming smokers. But some health experts say that focusing on the risk of addicting new smokers cuts off a chance to help adults quit.
With the Advancements that have been made one has to wonder if some technological advancements can be mixed into these practices which have been around for years and if it will be successful or okay to mix the two since ALL things tend to mix as time and technology advances. ****************************************@iamgop713 (IG) @iamGOP713 (FB) Please Like Favorite & Message if you're interested in Being a Guest on the Show, if you have any Questions or want to show some Love then you can do ALL of that by leaving a Message. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/iamgop713/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/iamgop713/support
