In this episode I'm joined by Clive Palmer to chat about Arsenal going into the Interlull top of the table. We discuss how it feels so far this season, with all the pressure fromall directions, and whether it's something we feel in a different way from Mikel Arteta and the players. Also on the agenda, David Raya's pay rise and how it's part of the challenge of keeping a big squad happy, minutes so far for Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri and what's next in their development, the stories around the stadium expansion, how we view that as a project in the coming years, what it might say about the club's status, and the importance of maintaining the highest possible sporting level for it to make sense. All that, and lots more. Here's the stadium piece mentioned in the conversation - https://arseblog.news/2025/10/how-benficas-stadium-renovation-could-offer-clues-to-emirates-upgrade/EXCLUSIVE NordVPN Deal ➼ https://nordvpn.com/arseblog – Try it risk-free now with a 30-day money-back guarantee!Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. Please Follow us on: Instagram or Facebook ! In this episode, Kimberly and Tommaso continue their discussion of favorite places in Italy. They add a beloved city to their list and share favorite countryside regions Favorite Cities: Adding Venezia Beyond the Crowds: Kimberly and Tommaso admit Venice can be crowded. They share how to see it in a less crowded way, even during high season. Knowing where to stay and when to visit certain spots helps. A Unique City: Venice is unlike any other city. It feels enchanting, otherworldly. Walking narrow alleyways (calli) transports visitors back centuries. Engineering Marvel: The city's ingenious foundation system uses wooden pilings. These pilings are now as hard as concrete because they were oxygen-deprived for centuries. Historical Achievements: Tommaso shares Venice's contributions to Western civilization. Early system of checks and balances in government (675 A.D.). The Arsenal shipyard, the world's largest industrial complex before the Industrial Revolution (1104 AD). First street lighting ordinance (1128 AD). First state-guaranteed national bank (1157 AD). Invention of the elevator (1160 AD) for the Piazza San Marco bell tower. First government bonds (1171 AD) from forced citizen loans. The bill of exchange for international trade (around 1200 AD). Infused soap, inventing perfume and deodorant (1200s). First brick hearth with a chimney and flue (1227 AD). First child labor laws (1284 AD) for Murano glass production. Returning to Venice: Tommaso is a serious fan, therefore he plans on many returns. Favorite Countryside Regions The Dolomites: Kimberly's History: She has a long history of hiking trails and staying in refugios. She recalls picnics with friends in alpine meadows. Skiing was a frequent activity. Tommaso's First Visit: His first visit was last December. He notes the unique, jagged peaks compared to US mountains. Cuisine and Air: The Dolomites offer high-end, creative cuisine and excellent wines. The fresh mountain air is invigorating. Toscana: Val d'Orcia: Picture-Perfect Landscape: This area in southeast Tuscany is idyllic. It resembles a painting or a movie set. It defines what many imagine when they hear “Tuscany.” UNESCO Status: Recognized in 2004, Val d'Orcia is a cultural landscape shaped by humans in harmony with nature. This status ensures its visual preservation. No modern buildings or businesses will alter its appearance. Medieval Villages: The area has authentic villages like Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montalcino. Locals live in these villages so it's not just a tourist destination. Winding Roads: Narrow, two-lane roads without shoulders connect the villages. This maintains the beauty. Lack of streetlights at night makes driving challenging for non-locals. Wine and Food: Home to famous wines like Brunello and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The cuisine features cured meats, ragu sauces, and pici pasta. Puglia: Distinct Landscape: Puglia stands out geographically. It resembles Greece, Turkey, or even the central Australian desert with its burnt orange soil. Architecture: The stark white Trulli buildings and Masserias contrast with the colorful soil. This creates a unique landscape. Kimberly's Favorite Cuisine: Puglia's cuisine is Kimberly's favorite in Italy. They use many vegetables in dishes. These vegetables grow in the region's rich soil. Wines and Bread: The region produces diverse, full-bodied wines such as Primitivo and Negroamaro. Tommaso notes that their friend “Breadbasket Bridget,” claims Puglia has the world's best bread. Growing Popularity: Puglia offers fewer crowds, different cuisine and wines, and unique places to stay. The refreshing sea breeze adds to its appeal. Kimberly and Tommaso plan to discuss their favorite experiences or meals in the next episode.

All eyes were on two huge games at the top of the table this weekend and they absolutely delivered! The difference was that Rach was getting absolutely soaked in Manchester on Friday night, while Chloe was watching it with a glass of Merlot. Or Rioja. Something red, anyway.Chloe and Rachel pick apart another thriller between Man City and Arsenal, which has left Chloe believing that this is a new, shackles-off era for Man City. There's also plenty of love for a brilliant battle between Man United and Chelsea, with Jess Park starring in midfield. And there's even time to talk about FIFA's brand new Women's Champions Cup. In this episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast, Tim and Jamie try to make some sense of Arsenal's 3-2 defeat away at Manchester City on Saturday and how much it can be isolated from previous disappointing results. Tim and Jamie discuss changes to the line-up, why there's so little consensus among fans about the issues in recent games and how City were more ruthless with their attacks than the Gunners. Then there are your questions submitted on BlueSky in part two about the midfield setup, how much is down to personnel and how much is tactical and whether Arsenal properly addressed their issues in the summer.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog's award winning coverage of Arsenal Women by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. In this episode we look back at Arsenal's 2-0 win over West Ham on Saturday. We chat about excitement at seeing Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze together in midfield, but that was short lived after the captain picked up an injury. His replacement, Martin Zubimendi had a big impact, and we talk about him, Riccardo Calafiori, Declan Rice scoring against his former club, Bukayo Saka scoring on his 200th Premier League appearance after he took charge when we were awarded a penalty. West Ham offered very little, and we reflect on being top of the table, before we answer listener questions about the atmosphere inside the ground for these kinds of games, Viktor Gyokeres after he made it six games without a goal in a week that looked perfect for him to add to his tally, Odegaard's recent run of injuries, media coverage of our season so far, and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. It's early days, but following on from last weekend, it felt like the balance shifted in the Premier League this match day. Arsenal's win at home to West Ham saw them go top (19:37), with the noise from a fortnight ago fully subsiding. Elsewhere (32:31), Everton ended Palace's unbeaten run, Manchester United kept it calm, Bournemouth continue to impress and much more in the Premier League. Finally, there's a quick shout out for La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and more (40:01).Tickets are available for our live show at the Southbank Centre in London on December 4th and are on sale here. For more podcasts each week, ad-free and in full, plus access to the Stadio Social Club and much more, become a Stadio member by going to patreon.com/stadio. Dharmesh Sheth is joined by Julien Laurens, Jacqui Oatley and The Telegraph's Jason Burts to reflect on the weekend's sporting action. We begin with Chelsea's last-minute win over Liverpool at the Bridge. Whilst Laurens praises Maresca's victory and show of emotion, he criticises Liverpool's lack of control, with a third loss in eight days. Jason believes Liverpool's winning start to the season was unsustainable and considers it a missed opportunity that they didn't buy Marc Guehi in the summer.Next we look to Man United's home win over Sunderland; whilst Julien focuses on Amorim's side's lack of consistency, was this clean sheet and good performance a sign of things to come? We then have The Athletic's Megan Feringa on the pod to talk WSL; how far can Manchester United go this season? And with Arsenal dropping seven points already in the WSL, after bringing in Olivia Smith, why is it they can't get over the line in the league in the same way the likes of Chelsea are able to?We also look at Arsenal's win against West Ham, taking them to the top of the Premier League and Julien believes the Gunners' control gave Nuno's side no chance of winning the game. Finally, a gritty win for Tottenham against Leeds showed Thomas Frank's ability to bring a different side to Spurs; Jason believes Frank can get them back in to the top four this season.

In this episode I'm joined by Tim Stillman to look back at Wednesday night's 2-0 win over Olympiacos. An early goal settled the nerves, but European games can be tricky, that proved to be the case here. Arsenal had chances to score, but so too did the opposition and we had David Raya to thank for keeping a clean sheet. We discuss the overall performance, some key moments, and analyse players like Martin Odegaard, Viktor Gyokeres, and Bukayo Saka, as well as chatting about how Mikel Arteta is using his deep squad so far this season. There's also some brief chat about William Saliba's new contract, refereeing standards/inconsistency, and more.EXCLUSIVE NordVPN Deal ➼ https://nordvpn.com/arseblog – Try it risk-free now with a 30-day money-back guarantee!Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast.
