    Ivy Insights

The Self Love Breakfast Club podcast is an absolute gem in the world of self-care and personal growth. Hosted by Chrystal Rose, this podcast delves deep into the why behind our actions and encourages listeners to cultivate self-love in their lives. With each episode, I find myself taking away valuable insights and feeling inspired to make positive changes. Chrystal has a way of making you feel empowered and loved simply by listening to her words.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is Chrystal's ability to connect with her audience on a personal level. She opens up about her own experiences and struggles, making you feel like you're having a genuine conversation with a friend. From sharing helpful tips for self-care to discussing important topics like boundaries and social media, there is always something relatable and insightful in each episode. Additionally, the Self-Love Sunday episodes are particularly special, as Chrystal shares what's happening in her own life while providing uplifting thoughts or advice.

Another great aspect of this podcast is its focus on female empowerment. The conversations tackle relevant topics that many women can relate to, such as shifting from being a "guy's girl" to embracing female friendships or navigating the pressures of societal expectations. This podcast creates a safe space for women (and men) to come together and support one another on their journey towards self-love.

If I were to nitpick, one potential downside of this podcast could be its lack of diversity in guest speakers. While the conversations are valuable, it would be great to hear from individuals with different backgrounds and perspectives to further enrich the discussions.

In conclusion, The Self Love Breakfast Club podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking inspiration, empowerment, and guidance on their path towards self-love. Through authentic conversations and relatable stories, Chrystal Rose creates a space where listeners can feel seen, heard, and supported. This podcast serves as a reminder that self-love is a journey, and we are not alone in our struggles. So go ahead and dive deep into this podcast - you won't be disappointed.

In today's conversation, Sara reveals the many ways her life has opened up in the four short months since she bonded with Chrystal and the rest of the group in the beautiful Tuscan hillside.Once a people-pleaser, Sara has learned to hold firm to her boundaries. After taking a walk with Chrystal, she made a phone call to her “situationship” back in the States, determining how they would move forward together once she got back. She has learned to determine her gut instinct from her thoughts, and following that instinct led to a major move. Though she initially assumed she'd be more closed off in a group setting, she felt safe and held by her fellow attendees. Join us to hear her advice for those joining the retreat next year and how they can make the most of it. Quotes“After our conversations in Italy, I honestly opened up all these different channels in my life–where I was living, with relationships, with work, all kinds of stuff. “That catapulted my whole trajectory,” says Sara Workman, one of Chrystal's legacy clients, about her life-changing experience at Chrystal's retreat in Italy earlier this year. Now I am in a completely different place in my life in all those different areas, which is really crazy.” (6:38 | Sara) “I've never stepped so far out of my comfort zone. That was the only time we'd ever talked on the phone, when I called him as I'm looking at Italy. It just was so different from my behavior in the past. That alone catapulted my trajectory to where I am now, especially because it made me realize I can have adult, hard conversations and shit still going to be fine.” (15:13 | Sara)“Listening to my gut has always been a struggle until I started doing this work with you, and honestly until Italy. I really started actually listening to it and being able to distinguish between whether it was my intuition and my gut, or whether it was just my brain telling me things.” (19:06 | Sara)“I know I would do well in a one-on-one, but I think I thrive and open up more in a group setting, anyway, which is not something I would have thought about before. I would have thought it would have been the other way around.” (23:40 | Sara)“I tend to people-please a lot. I'll do things or say things just to not shake things up or to not disagree with other people. Then later on, I'll realize I actually didn't want to do that, I don't agree with that. I don't even know why I said that. So it's been really good practice for me to be able to voice an opposing thought or views and then still feel safe enough to then go out into the real world and apply it out there.” (27:34 | Sara) Connect with Chrystal:http://chrystalrose.com/https://www.embodiedbaddie.com/https://www.instagram.com/xtalrose/To join our Embodied Baddie text community, text BADDIE to 704-270-6577Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

Have you been trying to change your mindset but finding it too difficult? Shifting our mindset in the traditional way is so difficult because such methods only focus on changing our conscious thoughts, whereas most of our thoughts and actions are controlled by a set of unconscious beliefs. Until we reframe those beliefs, we can't truly shift our mindset, we won't get what we desire, and we'll feel burned out, frustrated and ashamed in the process. On today's episode of The Embodied Baddie, Chrystal Rose walks us through the traditional methods of mindset shifting and offers an easier and more effective approach. She brings up common core beliefs that keep many of us stuck and shows us how we can overcome them in order to move forward towards our goals. Quotes• “What results do we get when we take actions like these? Burnout. We start to feel burned out, we start to feel unfulfilled, you end up in a position to just do this all over again.” (6:41 | Chrystal)• “It's not actually easy to shift that thought when you have years and years of thinking that way…we're always at the thought level. But we're forgetting our subconscious beliefs.” (9:04 | Chrystal) • “Our subconscious is responsible for 88 to 95% of the things that we do, think, things that are involuntary. Just so much of our programming is subconscious…there may be something deeper that's stopping you from changing your thoughts.” (9:39 | Chrystal Rose) • “If there's a belief underneath it, that's competing with that new thought, you're going to keep getting some of the same-old and it's like banging up against a brick wall. That belief is the brick wall.” (12:25 | Chrystal) • “Your beliefs actually lie in your body, not in your mind…The body is where our trauma is stored, it's where our wounds are stored. It's where all the pockets of energy are stored. The body holds the belief system.” (13:28 | Chrystal)Connect with Chrystal:http://chrystalrose.com/https://www.embodiedbaddie.com/https://www.instagram.com/xtalrose/To join our Embodied Baddie text community, text BADDIE to 704-270-6577Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

Are you settling for “good enough?” Are afraid to let go of what you have for fear nothing better will come along? Chrystal shares a story of trying out a new mattress that was adequately comfortable, but she and her husband were willing to keep looking and trying to find something they really loved, and ended up finding their perfect fit. So many of us, in so many areas of our lives, stick with what is working, and aren't willing to look for better. In fact, when something is good, it's almost harder to eschew it in favor of the best thing for you, whereas when things are at rock bottom you think they can only go up from here. We must trust that our happiness is inevitable, and will keep showing up in different forms until we connect with it. By letting go of the outcome, and holding space for the duality–the good and bad–of the situation, and accepting the inevitable discomfort of that as we level up, we allow for surprise and delight in the process. We are all special and deserve the life of our dreams. Quotes• “We kind of gaslight ourselves in a way, thinking, ‘I should be grateful, nothing's wrong. It's not bad.' Then we miss out on the potential for great, whether that be a mattress, an opportunity, a person, whatever it is.” (4:30 | Chrystal) • “When you're holding on to the energy of the one thing, it's like holding your hand on a railing. When you want to be flying, but you're not sure where you're going to fly to, if you're actually going to fly, all of those questions come up. ‘Well, what if I don't meet someone else?' or ‘What if there isn't another opportunity.' So you're holding on to that railing. But you cannot have the other thing until you let go.” (5:36 | Chrystal) • “I think it's even harder. When something is good-ish. Because there's that fear. If you're already at the basement. If the bar is in hell, and someone really sucks, or the situation is so horrible. You think, ‘Yeah, of course, it can only go up from here, right?” (7:35 | Chrystal)• “You have to decide that if this isn't it, there's something better. Always. And there's no such thing as ‘once in a lifetime opportunity.' That's bullshit. Because if it's the right thing for you, it'll keep knocking in different forms.” (8:58 | Chrystal)• “We have to decide that we already know it's going to work out, it's inevitable. My happiness is inevitable. The things I desire are inevitable. And coming from that place, allows you to hold when shit gets hard, or uncomfy.” (15:07 | Chrystal)Connect with Chrystal:http://chrystalrose.com/https://www.embodiedbaddie.com/https://www.instagram.com/xtalrose/To join our Embodied Baddie text community, text BADDIE to 704-270-6577Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

Are you afraid to ask for help? Do you feel guilty delegating responsibility, even to team members whom you hired to support you? Often this hesitation is subconscious. For some people, like many of Chrystal's clients, it doesn't even occur to them to ask for help. For others, like one of Chrystal's high-powered clients, she feels guilty asking members of her team to do things. This is predominantly a problem for women who increasingly take on a type of masculine energy which leads to burnout, whereas the more feminine energy is more open to receiving. For others, they have been burned by asking for help in the past and are afraid to reach out again. Just as a pilot would never feel guilty for delegating duties to flight attendants, bosses should never be afraid to ask for help from their team. Even Chrystal herself had to work on this, and it will take some time and effort to shift your mindset, but once you learn to receive help, it will be a gamechanger!  #askingforhelp #feminineenergy #receiving #delegatingQuotes• “This episode is all about why women don't ask for help. I have so many things I want to talk about in this and so many examples. Because it's honestly a problem. It's a real problem.” (4:41 | Chrystal)• “It's the pilot's job to get us to our destination. That's the pilot's job. They're the captain of that ship, OK, they're in charge. And they aren't feeling guilty that the flight attendants have other jobs.” (12:57 | Chrystal) • “A lot of women have become more masculine and have taken on more masculine traits. And what that does is burn us the hell out. So it's a lot of hustle, it's a lot of go-go-go, a lot of force, a lot of push, rather than ease and flow.” (17:26 | Chrystal)• “That's something that I work on still:  reminding myself that I get to receive, it's okay to receive. So, if I get compliments, or if someone wants to give me money, or do something nice for me, instead of saying, ‘No, it's okay. I've got it,' I instead say, ‘Thank you. Yes, thank you. I receive that.' It's very uncomfortable, but it's starting to feel really good in my system.” (24:20 | Chrystal)Connect with Chrystal:http://chrystalrose.com/https://www.embodiedbaddie.com/https://www.instagram.com/xtalrose/To join our Embodied Baddie text community, text BADDIE to 704-270-6577Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

Are you a high-achiever who still doesn't trust your ability to make decisions? Are you afraid to speak up in meetings because you're afraid everyone will realize that you don't know what you're talking about? Many accomplished women–including Chrystal's own employees and clients—suffer from a form of self sabotage called  Imposter Syndrome, which is when we doubt our talents and abilities, and don't believe we deserve our success, despite an abundance of external evidence. Many women are so consumed with moving from one achievement to the next that they don't stop to celebrate their wins. This is the same energy that drives Imposter Syndrome. As long as we keep seeking validation outside of ourselves through praise and achievement, we'll never fill that inner hole of self-doubt. Instead, we must learn to meet our own needs, and the trick to beating Imposter Syndrome is not by repeating a bunch of rote affirmations in the mirror, but by looking inward. On today's episode, Chrystal shares the two key questions you must ask yourself to shift out of the imposter mindset!Quotes• “One big part of self sabotage can be imposter syndrome. And I feel like so many high achieving women experience this, whether it be ongoing or at one time or another.” (2:23 | Chrystal)• “There's a disconnect. It's an incongruence between your conscious and your subconscious, because consciously, of course, you think, ‘Okay, I do this, I've done this, I've done that. I know I'm good at what I do.' And yet it still creeps up at times. So where does it come from?” (9:59 | Chrystal) • “Oftentimes, at the root, we're hustling for our worth. We want to feel worthy. And if only I do enough, then maybe I'll be enough. And so with impostor syndrome this is a self sabotage tactic.” (13:06 | Chrystal)• “You're on your way to doing the thing or going where you want to go. And then that doubt creeps in… so we don't take the chance. We don't apply for the position, start the business, invest in the thing, or make the leap. Because we're telling ourselves that we're not good enough.” (13:25 | Chrystal)• “It's a game changer. That's what shifts. That's what creates all the results. That's literally what my entire coaching business is built upon, is helping my clients meet their own needs, because we keep trying to meet them externally.” (16:55 | Chrystal)Connect with Chrystal:http://chrystalrose.com/https://www.embodiedbaddie.com/https://www.instagram.com/xtalrose/To join our Embodied Baddie text community, text BADDIE to 704-270-6577Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm Get Embodied with me & our community this month and BREATHE every day! [Solo Sesh] Navigating Imposter Syndrome

Is there someone in your life who keeps crossing your boundaries? Are you ready to just cut them out of your life? Before you go to extremes, as an emotionally responsible adult you have to be willing to have what can be an uncomfortable conversation about what is actually bothering you. This gives you an opportunity to heal and offers grace to the person who may not even know they are doing anything wrong. You've got to get granular about what it is that is prompting the need for you to set the boundary in the first place before you suddenly throw up a wall. After all, boundaries are not demands or rigid rules which attempt to control other peoples' behavior, they should be made out of love for both people. Practice them enough and soon you may find yourself as Chrystal says–un-f**k-with-able. Quotes• “When we create a boundary,  it's made out of love for ourselves, because we are putting either energetic physical, verbal, mental, mental, emotional boundaries into place, out of love for ourselves. We want to protect ourselves, our space, our peace. But it can't just be out of love for us. That's what gets missed a lot of the time. I'm going to take care of myself, I'm protecting my peace, you're out. What about love for the other person?” (3:53 | Chrystal) • “What would that look like if I created this boundary out of love instead of fear?” (5:11 | Chrystal) • “If we dig deep into them, why are we even setting them in the first place? What is the goal here and how is it that you feel? If it is rooted in insecurity, and if it's rooted in fear, then that's a really hard, difficult, but necessary conversation to have with the person you're setting the boundary with.” (10:54 | Chrystal)• “You are doing yourself a giant disservice if you just cut someone off because you are stifling your own opportunity for growth. Whenever someone pokes you energetically, whenever someone triggers you, or activates you, they are pointing to something that is going on inside of you.” (15:29 | Chrystal)• “I'm telling you, it is such an incredible, amazing feeling when you're standing there talking to someone who normally would be triggering the shit out of you and you just think, ‘Huh, I don't even feel any activation in my body whatsoever. Like, this is pretty cool.” (20:40 | Chrystal)Connect with Chrystal:http://chrystalrose.com/https://www.embodiedbaddie.com/https://www.instagram.com/xtalrose/To join our Embodied Baddie text community, text BADDIE to 704-270-6577Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

Are you feeling fear creep in as you level up in your life or career? Are you experiencing bumps along the road just as you've reached your latest successful milestone? You're not alone, as Chrystal attests by sharing insights from her own leveling-up journey. The universe is not messing with you or testing you, it's bringing up your qualifiers as you head toward the next stop on your journey. As any hero's arch has shown us, there are obstacles that come up that shape you in ways necessary to become who you need to be and get you where you want to go. It's a matter of identifying energy leaks and cleaning them up as you continue toward your goal so that you can know where to place your boundaries. It's going to be uncomfortable and that's OK.Like a kid that's growing into your older sibling's hand-me-downs, you are growing into who you are meant to be. Allow yourself to revel in the juiciness of your growth and celebrate all your wins along the way.Quotes• “Bad Boy Entertainment wasn't wrong when they said ‘Mo Money, Mo Problems.'” (3:03 | Chrystal)• “It's a qualification for the next level. Do you really want to be here, do really want to move into this? So as we start moving into this new level, this contraction comes up, and it shows us where our energy leaks are, it shows us what we need to work on to be here to qualify for this space.” (5:30 | Chrystal) • “It's scary. It's definitely emotional. What I'm having to do is root really deeply in my safety and remind myself that I am safe to receive, to make money and run a business, to do what I do best and keep doing it. I am safe to hire, to invest, to spend. And it's okay that I'm scared.” (10:31 | Chrystal)• “Inevitably, you're going to level up again. But give it the space it deserves. Give it the time to really root into it and feel. Let the juiciness of being where you've worked so hard to get to, instead of just looking towards that next goal, let yourself be here, let yourself celebrate it..” (13:35 | Chrystal)Connect with Chrystal:http://chrystalrose.com/https://www.embodiedbaddie.com/https://www.instagram.com/xtalrose/To join our Embodied Baddie text community, text BADDIE to 704-270-6577Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm Get Embodied with me & our community this month and BREATHE every day! Changing your negative attitude toward money, its value and the way that you go about saving it is crucial. Many people are raised to believe that money is only for greedy people, and that anyone doing anything good shouldn't have any need for it. Colleen and Chrystal debunk these false beliefs and the one that says money can't buy happiness. Our ‘money story' begins with our parents, and it will change alongside our evolving relationships with our spouses and children. Speaking of important relationships, Colleen explains how to choose the best financial planner for you, as well as what you should expect from them. Just because you decided something was right for you one day doesn't mean you have to stick with it forever…you get to change your mind just like I do.” (15:56-16:16 | Chrystal)Connect with Chrystal:http://chrystalrose.com/https://www.embodiedbaddie.com/https://www.instagram.com/xtalrose/To join our Embodied Baddie text community, text BADDIE to 704-270-6577Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

Are you an accomplished, sexy, passionate woman who is ready to fight battles while keeping your crown balanced firmly atop your head? Are you a confident–not cocky–woman who walks into a room and naturally takes command of it? Well then, you're (still)  in the right place. In today's episode, Chrystal introduces the podcast's latest rebranding–the Embodied Baddie–reflecting the new Embodied Baddie Academy which is home to all of her courses. Despite the change in name, the podcast remains the same—a place for inspiration and information, empowering women wherever they are on their journey. After all, everyone has the right to keep changing and evolving, and a baddie is worthy just by being herself. Quotes• “The Embodied Body Podcast is all part of the Chrystal Rose brand. And I love it, it makes me so excited. I really want the people that I have as guests to embody that as well and give you those juicy tidbits so you can feel like you are on your way there, also.”(8:53-9:16 | Chrystal)• “It's more than just a name change. It's a declaration.” (9:37-9:42 | Chrystal) • “We're still not going to do crazy interviews. I'm going to have guests come on here, but they're going to be conversations. [Solo Sesh] Screw Normalizing Struggling, Let's Normalize Healing

In today's episode, Chrystal discusses the current trend of normalizing mental illness to the point where it becomes a front-facing identity. While no one should feel ashamed of depression, anxiety or ADHD, too many people lately are treating their diagnoses as illnesses they will live with forever. Mental illness is merely emotional dysregulation as a result of trauma, and just like a physical injury, should be treated with the end goal of healing and then moving on. Chrystal shares her own experience with ADHD, and reminds us that we are more than our brain chemistry and nervous system, that common is not the same as normal, and that with the right therapy we can focus on and normalize healing. Quotes• “What are we doing, talking about how anxiety and depression are essentially your identity? As if it's forward facing, ‘This is who I am.' I have such an issue with that because no, it's not.” (11:29-11:48 | Chrystal) • “Why are you just accepting that you have mental illness for life? Why aren't you demanding to feel better?” (13:44-13:52 | Chrystal)• “I think there's also a secondary gain here. Maybe there's the camaraderie of other people experiencing the same or similar things and misery loves company. There's also the secondary gain of attention: being in it, and feeling for yourself, or having others feel for you.” (16:27-16:56 | Chrystal)• “This is not a life sentence. While it's cute and fun to make content poking at it and identifying with it and cracking jokes, do you actually, really want to live like this? Because it's a choice. You don't have to. There is a way out.” (21:39-21:59 | Chrystal)Connect with Chrystal:http://chrystalrose.com/https://www.selflovebreakfastclub.com/https://www.instagram.com/xtalrose/https://www.instagram.com/selfloveforbreakfastclub/To join our Self Love Breakfast Club text community, text SLBC to 704-270-6577.Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fmGet Embodied with me & our community this month and BREATHE every day!
