Rachel started out singing in pubs at 16, studied Theatre at both undergraduate and masters level, and performed across small-scale theatre before stepping behind the mic. There was a 15-year “interlude” producing large-scale cultural events, but the call of the voice booth proved too strong. Her voice is warm, clear, and full of character – trusted by clients such as LEGO Group, Vodafone, Booking.com, NHS, Breast Cancer Now, PDSA, Tearfund and Wizarding World. Dr. Beckett previews his upcoming Toronto Sports Card Expo trip with advice from longtime attendee Ken Capel, comparing the show to U.S. events and noting its heavy hockey focus, expanded post-pandemic size, abundant $1–$2 boxes, and generally deal-friendly hockey dealers. They discuss how most pricing is in Canadian dollars but many vendors willingly accept U.S. cash and do on-the-spot conversion, sometimes even offering better-than-conversion pricing. The conversation covers the rise of buying stations and major hockey repacks, fewer table buyouts than in earlier years, strong Upper Deck presence with redemption-driven wax breaking, and the show's improved layout with autographs in a separate room plus a dedicated Pokémon section. Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/audio-libros-master/exclusive-contentAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Not everyone has to agree—but everyone has to commit. We sat down with Ben Capell from Peterson Ventures to talk about how venture capital decisions actually get made behind the scenes. It's not a vote. It's not about getting everyone on the same page. It's about making your case, standing by it, and trusting the people around you to go all in once the decision is made. We talk about: • Why debate is part of the process • How conviction can outweigh consensus • What real trust looks like inside a winning team • And yes… even a Rudy reference made its way in This episode is a must-listen if you're a founder raising capital, a leader making tough calls, or just curious how high-stakes decisions actually happen at the top.

The SSI Orbit Podcast – Self-Sovereign Identity, Decentralization and Web3
Are you confident in the environmental and social claims about your products? In this episode of The SSI Orbit Podcast, host Mathieu Glaude sits down with Steve Capell, Vice Chair of UN/CEFACT and Project Lead of the United Nations Transparency Protocol (UNTP), to explore how transparency and traceability are being revolutionized in global value chains. Together, they unpack the challenges of greenwashing, the urgency of compliance with new regulations, and the transformative potential of a global transparency protocol. Steve shares real-world examples, such as the impact of carbon border adjustments and digital product passports, highlighting how regulatory frameworks and technological innovation intersect. The conversation also addresses the role of decentralized identifiers and verifiable credentials in ensuring the integrity of sustainability claims. Key Insights: Greenwashing is widespread, with over 50% of product claims being misleading or false. The UNTP offers a standards-based approach to ensure transparency and interoperability in value chains. Verifiable credentials are essential for decentralized trust, linking data to trusted sources while ensuring integrity. Regulations like carbon border adjustments and product passports are reshaping trade by enforcing sustainability disclosures. The UN's role as a neutral body provides a trusted space for creating global standards and recommendations. Tune in to this episode to learn how the UNTP is driving a shift from marketing-led sustainability claims to evidence-backed transparency and why this transformation is critical for regulatory compliance and strategic business differentiation. Don't miss this deep dive into the future of transparent global trade! Chapters: 00:00 - Why is the UN pursuing the development of a new protocol to help solve transparency in sustainability disclosures? 09:17 - How to ensure the integrity of claims being made is the d efacto standard? 16:32 - How did the UNTP think through the proper technical and governance architecture to support all transparency use cases? 32:36 - What will become the catalyst for the mass uptake of the UNTP? 40:32 - What makes the UN a good home for the definition of a transparency protocol? 51:03 - Does all data that interacts with the UNTP need to be public? 58:40 - Is there an opportunity for registrars to create value using the UNTP?

On this episode, global systems researcher Iñigo Capellán Pérez joins Nate to discuss net energy analysis, and its use as a tool in analyzing the feasibility of an entire system. While net energy analysis is complex and polarized, some form of it will be necessary to guide society into a resource-constrained future. The energy outlook of a technology changes when scaled up to meet the needs of a larger society. Many models and EROI analyses that fail to take a system-wide view and only look at a single technology use case, only reflect the partial net energy story. When looking at the huge scale-up needed for ‘solutions' such as Green Growth and Net Zero Transitions, do the hopes for renewable technologies hold up the lifestyles we've come to expect over the last century of fossil surplus? Do our policymakers and leaders have the full picture to make competent decisions? How can we best use these tools to make creative responses to guide us through a Great Simplification? About Iñigo Capellán Pérez: Iñigo is an Industrial Engineer currently doing research with The Group of Energy, Economy and Systems Dynamics (GEEDS) of the University of Valladolid. He holds a Master degree in Electric Energy and Sustainable Development and a PhD in Economics with his dissertation on "Development and Application of Environmental Integrated Assessment Modelling towards Sustainability" at the University of the Basque Country. His research interests focus on the analysis and modeling of the energy-economy-environment systems, the transition to renewable energies in the context of the depletion of fossil fuels and climate mitigation and the technical and social transformations towards sustainability.
