Send us a textThe Battle of Cold Harbor with (Dr. Nathan Provost)In this episode of the American Civil War & UK History podcast, host Daz was joined by historian Dr. Nathan Provost to discuss the Battle of Cold Harbor.Dr. Provost chose to focus his dissertation on the Battle of Cold Harbor, dedicating a significant amount of time to researching this battle and its associated data. The Battle of Cold Harbor was fought during the American Civil War near Mechanicsville, Virginia, from May 31 to June 12, 1864, with the most intense fighting occurring on June 3. It was one of the final battles of Union Lt. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant's Overland Campaign is remembered as one of the most lopsided battles in American history. Thousands of Union soldiers were killed or wounded during the frontal assault on June 3 against the fortified positions of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee's army, which further contributed to the perception of Grant's apparent disregard for high casualties.ACW & UK History's Website.https://darrenscivilwarpag8.wixsite.com/acwandukhistoryACW & UK History's Pages.https://linktr.ee/ACWandUKHISTORYSupport the show
Ana and Dan reintegrate to unpack the second half of Severance Season 2, from haunting standalone episodes to an action-packed finale. They explore the show's psychological and thematic depth: labor alienation, the inner child, and late-stage capitalism in a company town. We learn Harmony Cobel invented severance, Gemma was probably lured with a fake baby promise, and Cold Harbor might be killing innies one spreadsheet at a time. Also: Milchick dances, Gwendoline Christie fights, and the baby goat lives (for now). There's class war, metaphysical angst, and echoes of The Graduate, The Matrix, and every emotionally constipated Apple product demo. There's IR in this episode, and a critique of capitalism bosses hate more than big words. Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In this episode of Nerd Legion, we dive deep into end the second season of 'Severance.' DoA and MonteCristo discuss problems with the season's pacing, major plot points, character developments, and whether the major payoffs are worth the price of the poor set-ups. We also analyze pivotal moments, including the rescue mission for Gemma led by Mark's innie and outie, and the implications of Lumon's Cold Harbor project. Additionally, we debate the needs for filler content, Helena's actions, the ethics of Lumon's experiments, and the series' potential future directions. Dave, Cody, and special guest Dan C gather in the pop culture MDR to unpack Severance Season 2, Episode 10 — Cold Harbor. Emotions run high as the trio breaks down every shocking twist, cryptic line, and heartbreakingly human moment from a finale that went nowhere anyone expected... and yet felt strangely perfect. From wild Kier-spiracies about Helly R, to the long-awaited revolution led by Dylan (and a vending machine), to Mark's devastating choice at the "equator" — this is the kind of television that makes you yell at the screen, rewind key scenes, and then call your therapist. There's laughter (mostly at Milchick's Drumline dreams), there's heartbreak, and there's some seriously deep talk about love, the soul, and whether innie Mark just became the "real" Mark.

In this episode of Watchin' It, Robert and Donnell tackle a double feature: the disappointing descent of Daredevil: Born Again and the explosive season finale of Severance (Season 2, Episode 10). First up, they vent about Daredevil's lackluster storytelling, missing suit, and the arrival of a disturbing new villain — Muse. There's Punisher talk, wild graffiti theories, and a lot of “Where the hell is Daredevil?” energy. Then it's on to Severance, where things get real. Mark confronts himself (literally), Helly reunites with the team, and we finally learn what Cold Harbor is all about. From devastating truths about Gemma to that bizarre god-tier mural, this finale had everything. And yes… we're still worried about Irving. You'll want to stay until the very end to hear about what Donnell is calling “one of the greatest punches in cinematic history”.If you're watching either show, you're gonna want to hear this one. Packed with hot takes, fan theories, and the usual banter — tune in for one of our most loaded episodes yet.

Send us a textIn this episode of Brewstilled, I'm recapping the season 2 finale of Apple TV's Severance. For the season 2 finale of Apple TV's Severance we got a mind blowing, emotional, and excellent finale that contained a cliffhanger ending that tops the one from season 1. The finale also left us with several lingering questions that should pave the way for an excellent season 3. We saw the Innies and Outties meet via unusual circumstances, revelations at Lumon and the completion of the Cold Harbor project. This was definitely a deep episode that was a fitting finale for Apple TV's Severance season 2 finale. I'll be recapping the episode here on Brewstilled with a Red Ale from Stormbreaker Brewing as the beer pairing.

It's just Kevin and Andrew this week and they keep this one tight, just covering episodes 8 and 9 of Severance and Kraven the Hunter. This episode opens up with Kraven the Hunter. The guys have a pretty hot take on this one... it's not THAT bad!! Both guys argue that this could actually be the best Sony Villainverse film, though that is a pretty low bar at this point. Yes, it's not a perfect film and has a slew of issues, but if you go in with low expectations, you could come out pretty happy. Next up the guys talk the latest in Severance. Do they have any answers? Nope! Do they have any valuable insights? Also nope! But there are some solid discussions about what few answers we might get in the finale before having to take a miserably long break before season 3. But, I mean, we have to find out about Cold Harbor, right? That's the name of the final episode!! As always, thank you for watching. If you haven't already, don't forget to Like & Subscribe. We love new viewers! Also, leave us comments and let is know how we are doing and what we can be doing better. Enjoy the episode and have a great week!
