About Jay Gelardi and Gypsy Inc: I am a Creative with 21 years experience working in the UK, Australia and the US at top agencies. I have been an ECD for the last six years, and over my career picked up over 100 awards from all the usual places. Agency Republic, London At Agency Republic I worked as a Creative, a Director and a Sound Designer for some of the world's best known brands including Adidas, Smirnoff, Baileys, Gordon's, Lynx, PlayStation, EA Games, MTV, O2, Samsung, Nokia, BBC, and Mercedes. During my eight years at Republic, the agency won 'Digital Agency of the Year' five times. Over that time I worked on a range of award winning projects, and in 2005 I set up Republic Film. Republic Film, London Republic Film was a pioneering production company specializing in interactive 3D, sound and video. The facility went on to play a pivotal role in much of the agency's best known work. The Monkeys, Sydney In early 2011 I left Agency Republic to join The Monkeys, Sydney as Digital Creative Director. The Monkeys was named B&T Advertising Agency of the Year twice, B&T Grand Prix Agency of the Year, Australian Creative Magazine's 'Creative Hot Shop of the Year' and the AdNews No.1 ranked agency. CP+B, Boulder, London & Miami After three years in Sydney I decided to hop across the Pacific to take an Executive Creative Director position at CP+B in Boulder, Colorado. In early 2015 I moved to CP+B London as ECD and after that, CP+B Miami. HUGE, L.A. After 18 months in Miami I left Crispin to take creative control of HUGE LA as Executive Creative Director. Phenomenon, L.A. After an eventful year at Huge I joined Phenomenon LA, where we managed to pick up an AdAge small agency of the year award for the first time. Gypsy Inc, Everywhere In an effort to keep the brightest minds from leaving the industry, in 2019 I co-founded Gypsy Inc, a new type of agency that allows the best creative and strategic thinkers to work together remotely from anywhere in the world. You can call me the Littlest Hobo. Gypsy is a unique advertising agency that brings together the best creative and strategic thinkers from around the globe from a network of over 3000. Rather than whoever happens to be sitting on bench, Gypsy curates a leaner team of hand-picked specialists designed specifically for your brand. We've cut the fat, so you get exactly what you need, and nothing you don't. Gypsy is a global band of creative thinkers, strategists and doers that hail from some of the world's best agencies. We have a broad range of skills and experience from advertising, digital innovation, branding and design, all the way through to events and experiential. We believe that money spent on unnecessary agency overheads (like expensive offices) is better spent on the actual work. Therefore we work remotely from all over the world to maximize a more diverse talent base, and stay ahead of the global cultural curve.
