Gleichzeitig verdeutlicht sich an ihnen ihre faschistische Ausrichtung. eCoustics Vintage Editor Eric Pye and Producer Mitch Anderson sit down with Dave Kelley, President of KLH, for a grounded conversation on loudspeaker design, KLH's history, and how a legacy brand operates in today's market without leaning on nostalgia as a crutch. The discussion traces the influence of Henry Kloss, the shared DNA linking Klipsch, Kelley, Kyocera, and KLH, and how those ideas continue to inform real-world speaker engineering. Attention turns to KLH's current lineup—specifically the Model Three, Model Five, and Model Seven—with the Five and Seven competing for Eric's eCoustics 2025 Editors' Choice Floorstanding Loudspeakers vote based on listening, not legacy. If you want a clear-eyed look at where KLH has been and why its modern speakers still deserve serious consideration, this episode delivers without the marketing gloss.Thank you to SVS and Shure for their support of our programming!https://www.svsound.comhttps://www.shure.comCredits:• Original intro music by The Arc of All. https://sourceoflightandpower.bandcamp.com• Voice Over Provided by Todd Harrell of SSP Unlimited. https://sspunlimited.com• Production by Mitch Anderson, Black Circle Studios. https://blackcircleradio.comDon't forget to check our website for daily updates on the latest electronics, news, recommendations, and deals on high-end audio, loudspeakers, earphones, TVs, and more.https://www.ecoustics.com#KLHspeakers #vinylcommunity #audioloveyyc #KLHModelSeven #ecoustics #hifi #audiophile #hometheater #listeningroom #musicindustry #loudspeakerdesign #HIFIHistory

In this episode of Money Tales, our guest is Avery Moore Kloss. Have you ever been in a place where you knew deep down something had to change, but fear kept holding you back? That's exactly where Avery found herself, watching her husband, an entrepreneur at heart, slowly lose his spark in the corporate grind post-pandemic. Avery candidly shares how she wrestled with the fear of losing financial stability, realizing that she was the one holding him back from his dreams. In this episode, we dive into the moment she finally said to her husband, 'Just quit the job. We'll figure it out.' Avery Moore Kloss is the founder and lead creator of Folktale Studio. As a journalist, educator, entrepreneur, podcast host and award-winning radio documentarian, Avery's passion is in helping others capture their stories through audio. With Folktale Studio, Avery is committed to helping up-and-coming digital storytellers create podcasts that connect their unique stories with the world. As the host of the podcast “Grown Up,” Avery dives deep into the unconventional career journeys of her guests, exploring how they've navigated the twists and turns of the working world. It's a show about finding your way—even if that way looks nothing like what you expected. When she's not crafting podcasts, Avery teaches Audio Storytelling at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she also serves as the Podcaster-in-Residence. In her classes and office hours, she empowers the next generation of digital storytellers to embrace creativity, curiosity, and authenticity in their work. Avery is a proud graduate of Carleton University's School of Journalism and Communications, holding a combined honours degree in Journalism and History. Her storytelling journey began as a casual Associate Producer at CBC Ottawa before taking her to Portland, Maine, to study radio documentary at The Salt Institute for Documentary Studies (now part of the Maine College of Art). It was there that Avery discovered the art of long-form audio storytelling, a love that continues to shape her career. Her dedication to storytelling excellence earned her the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award in 2011 for “My Name is Meth,” an in-depth series exploring the growing crystal meth crisis in rural Ontario. Avery lives in Paris, Ontario, with her husband and daughter. When she's not behind the mic, you can find her enjoying the simple joys of small-town life, dreaming up her next big story, or sharing quiet moments with family.

Webster Groves native Karlie Kloss took the modeling world by storm in the 2010s before launching a highly successful effort to connect young women with computer coding and, more recently, helping relaunch Life Magazine. But on Monday, Kloss discussed another passion in an exclusive interview with St. Louis Public Radio: Her advocacy for abortion rights in Missouri and around the Midwest. “I'm one of four daughters. I grew up here in the Midwest. My father is a physician. The idea of reproductive care was never political in my house,” Kloss said. “It's devastating to me the reality of what is happening and how it has become so politicized. Because to me, this is a conversation that belongs between an individual and their physician and an individual and their loved ones. To me, politicians should not be involved.”

It's Good Friday, March 29th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldView.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus The struggle of a Pakistani Christian student One young Pakistani Christian woman explained how she has been discriminated against in her Muslim-majority nation, according to International Christian Concern. She said, “I faced discrimination at my university while studying at a private university in Lahore. Being the only Christian student in my academic department, a teacher deliberately used to give me an “F” grade because of my faith. I repeated that course three times during the tenure of that teacher, failing to secure a grade other than ‘F.' However, I managed to get an ‘A' as soon as the teacher was replaced.” In John 15:18, Jesus said, "If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you.” Open Doors reports that Pakistan is the seventh most difficult nation worldwide in which to be a Christian. More US missionaries rescued from Haiti More U.S. missionaries stranded in Haiti, after criminal gangs overran the country in late February, have been rescued after weeks of waiting, reports The Christian Post. In a Facebook statement Sunday night, Jill Dolan of Love A Neighbor ministry who has been working as a missionary in Haiti since October 2013 with her husband, Ryan, reported that she was among those waiting to be rescued. In the midst of national turmoil, a helicopter rescued the Dolan Family. She wrote, “The five in our family who were stuck in Port-au-Prince for 24 days are out of harm's way. However, we leave behind our three children that we are in the process of adopting as well as over 200 kids in our care at the orphanage.” Dolan arrived in Florida at 9 p.m. Saturday. She explained on Facebook that “the crisis in Haiti reaches way beyond just where the gangs are present. The stronghold on the country and the ability for goods and gasoline to travel freely throughout the country have been greatly impacted. Skyrocketing prices, business shutdown, banks closed ... the list goes on. Just when we think it can't get worse in Haiti, it does.” Jill Dolan and her family's Love A Neighbor ministry lived out Matthew 22:37-39 in which Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” Biden officials talking about a multinational force in Gaza Biden administration officials are in preliminary “conversations” about options for stabilizing post-war Gaza, including a proposal for the Pentagon to help fund either a multinational force or a Palestinian peacekeeping team, reports Politico.com. The options being considered would not involve U.S. troops on the ground, according to Defense Department officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Instead, Pentagon funding would go toward the needs of the security force and complement assistance from other countries. Asked for comment, a senior Biden administration official said “we are working with partners on various scenarios for interim governance and security structures in Gaza once the crisis recedes.” It could be weeks or months before Washington and its partners approve any plan, especially since regional players want to see a commitment to a so-called two-state solution before seriously engaging with the options. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has categorically rejected the “two state solution” which would establish an independent State of Palestine alongside the State of Israel, in the region west of the Jordan River. Chemical abortion has 4 times the complications as surgical abortion On Tuesday, March 26th, the Supreme Court held a 90-minute long hearing about the Abortion Kill Pill, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Today, 63% of mothers who choose to abort do so chemically with mifipristone, not surgically. First, it's deadly to the baby, blocking the hormone called progesterone which God created to stabilize the lining of the uterus. This, in turn, cuts off blood and nourishment to the baby who then dies of starvation inside the mother's womb. Second, the Abortion Kill Pill is dangerous to the mothers who swallow it. Chemical abortions have four times the complications compared to surgical abortions. Indeed, since it came on the market in 2000, the percent of visits to the Emergency Room as a result of chemical abortions, has soared by 500%. In 2020 alone, when 500,000 mothers aborted their babies with the Abortion Kill Pill, 25,000 of them either went to the emergency room or required surgical follow-up. Because they were unable to expel the dead baby, they experienced hemorrhaging, bleeding, and infection which can be life threatening. That's why in August 2023, the Fifth Circuit Court reinstated three minimal standards for the Abortion Kill Pill which: limited the use of the Abortion Kill Pill to the first 7 weeks of pregnancy. ended mail-order chemical abortions. and required in-person medical visits prior to the Abortion Kill Pill being prescribed. Abortion Kill Pill manufacturer complains it is harmed According to Live Action's reporting, there were “four shocking admissions” from the case, including the claim by Danco, the private Abortion Kill Pill manufacturer, that restricting their sales would “injure” their business. Justice Samuel Alito reiterated to Danco attorney Jessica Ellsworth that the Fifth Circuit Court's ruling would not prohibit Danco from selling mifepristone, the Abortion Kill Pill. However, it would prohibit it from being sent through the mail which would limit its sales. ALITO: “I gather your injury is that you think you are going to sell more if the restrictions that previously were in place were lifted.” ELLSWORTH: “Yes.” ALITO: “So, you're going to make more money?” ELLSWORTH: “The injury is that we are prevented from selling our product in line with FDA's scientific judgement about the safe and efficacious use of the drug.” ALITO: “And you're going to be harmed because you're going to sell more.” ELLSWORTH: “Certainly, a company's ability to market its product is a part of how it considers the regulatory scheme that governs its conduct.” Life Magazine makes a comeback And finally, more than two decades after it was shuttered by Time Inc., Life Magazine will be revived, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Shuttered in 2000, Life became known for using photographs to tell stories of the news of the week. Bedford Media, the holding company founded by model and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss and her husband, investor Josh Kushner, has acquired the publishing rights to Life. Josh is the brother of Jared Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in law. Kloss said, “We see Life as an uplifting and unifying voice in a chaotic media landscape.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Good Friday, March 29th in the year of our Lord 2024. XPW Announcer Kris Kloss Interview
Morgan and Bill had some eclipse questions as the solar eclipse just one month away! Bryan Kloss, the EOC Manager at Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management, joined them to give all the information needed.
With the young guard having finally calmed down, the Heroes assured him that they would allow him to be free if he agreed to let them leave without fuss. He agreed, and so the Jester undid his magic. The Swordsman Hero helped the young guard out of the mud and to his feet, with the ground solidifying behind him. He dusted himself off and looked back to the Heroes, clearly still concerned that they had other plans for him. The Heroes decided it wouldn't do them any good to continue causing trouble, and so they made their way to an exit. Walking back outside, they calmly greeted the guard standing nearby. He acknowledged them before glancing back in surprise, unsure of how they had come from inside of the arena. The Heroes gave no impression they had done anything wrong, and simply continued back into the city. Before Kelsey became an entrepreneur, she was a journalist and in-house editor for national media brands like Elle, Good Housekeeping, and Reading Digest. It was during this time Kelsey learned the power of proper storytelling and which kinds of narratives that brands can lean into in order to connect to their consumer. Kelsey later identified a journalism vs. PR and editorial vs. marketing disconnect in how companies were attempting to tell their stories on social media. So when the pandemic struck and began to impact her flow of income, Kelsey took a leap of faith and began seeking to bridge this gap through the development of her company. In today's episode, we sit down with Kelsey Kloss, CEO of Kloss Creatives, a PR and social media company that focuses on elevating brands as industry thought leaders through strategic storytelling and narrative building. She shares with us her journey to becoming an Entreprenista, what she wishes we knew before starting a business, why telling a compelling story with your brand matters, tips on how to build a press portfolio, the keys to positioning yourself as a thought leader in your industry and much more! “I think sometimes there's this pressure to find your niche, even if it hasn't come organically quite yet. But I'm glad that we didn't try and force that. As I worked with clients. And as we grow our team, we naturally found what works best.” - Kelsey Kloss This week on Startups in Stilettos: Kelsey's motivation for starting her business (2:40) How Kelsey's marriage of both her background in journalism and PR helped create her agency (4:35) Kelsey shares how she initially experimented with her company (6:25) Kelsey discusses finding her clients and working within specialized industries (7:59) Kelsey breaks down the process for working with her agency (8:57) Kelsey's view on press right now and positioning yourself as an industry thought leader (11:08) Kelsey shares the key to getting press placements (16:03) Kelsey's wish to connect to her fellow Entreprenistas (18:53) The beauty of working with an agency (20:15) Stephanie and Jess talk the benefits of joining the Entreprenista community (21:58) Resources Mentioned: Help A Reporter Our favorite quotes: “You don't have to force your niche. You don't have to figure it out from the get-go. I'm really glad that our team tried a little bit of everything and saw what organically became our niche.” - Kelsey Kloss “No matter how strong of a relationship you have with a journalist, no matter how many times you take them out to lunch or send them free samples, they can't write about something that won't benefit their audience, or they can't produce a segment that doesn't benefit their audience.” - Kelsey Kloss “There were frustrations from both journalists and PR pros from opposite sides of the newsroom table, there were disconnects in how companies were telling their story on social media where maybe it was coming across 100% salesy, and they were forgetting about that more narrative part of their story that kind of comes into play when you're working in a more editorial environment. So bridging that gap is something that I wanted to do with Kloss Creatives. “ - Kelsey Kloss Join the Entreprenista League today at entreprenista.com/join. Having finally arrived at their destination, the Heroes decided a break was in order. Looking around at the various signs, they discussed amongst themselves where to go. It was too early to head to an inn for the night, and being this close to the gate it was likely they would be too crowded. They decided to visit a nearby pub and made their way inside. They entered to the scene of a brawl playing out in front of them. Chairs were being thrown, and fists were flying as the drunk patrons fought it out. One particularly large gentleman grabbed another by the face and slammed his head into the bar as a nearby hostess watched in horror. Another man missed a swing and was hit with a powerful uppercut that sent his teeth flying, eventually coming to a rest after bouncing into the boots of the Swordsman Hero. The Heroes weren't as eager to fight as they normally would be. Having just arrived in the city, it wouldn't do them any good to cause trouble right away. They decided to play it safe and simply had the Jester summon undead to corral the brawling patrons. The tiny skeletons gripped and grabbed at the drunkards until they were all held snugly along the floorboards of the pub. With a bit of glee, the Heroes walked through the restrained crowd and took a seat at the bar. After some time, the rain subsided and the heroes were able to find some warmth by the fire. The night was cold and damp, and they would be excited to start back on the road tomorrow. For the time being, they huddled together near the fire while The Jester played a song. As the sun rose in the morning The Heroes check to see if their clothes were dry. As they were a bit damp, they set them onto the rocks surrounding the campfire. The Swordsman Hero decided to check out the surrounding area, as they weren't sure where they had ended up after being washed downriver. Tonight`s Jazz Feature is the recording debut of a young prodigy named Eric Kloss. Eric is celebrating his 73rd Birthday today and playing his music is a good idea to honor his recorded legacy. Eric was born blind and learned music and the saxophone at the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children and made his professional debut at age 12!! He continued to perform in and around Philadelphia at concerts and festivals and made his recording debut at age 16! This album was called ``Introducing Eric Kloss`` and was the first of ten for Prestige Records. He is heard here on alto and tenor saxophones with the great Don Patterson on Hammond organ, Pat Martino on guitar and Billy James on drums. Eric went on to record for Muse Records in the 70`s and mixed straight-ahead Jazz with fusion. He also taught at various colleges but health problems curtailed his playing and recording activity and he has kept a low profile since. Today he celebrates his 73rd Birthday and I hope we might hear him once again. Enjoy his debut tonight right here!
The Heroes draw their weapons and prepare for battle as the feral vampire turns and prepares to engage them. Behind it the Heroes can see it had attacked one of the vendors, and in it's mouth appeared to be a piece of the unfortunate man's scalp. It dropped the piece of the man, and snarled at the Heroes. They carefully began to spread out, aware of the danger the creature possessed. The Swordsman Hero stood perfectly still, staring down disgusting the creature. He remembered growing up that he had been told that vampires would burn when exposed to sunlight, but that wasn't the case here. Most likely this vampire was so old, and had consumed to many victims that it had evolved past the state in which sunlight would harm it. This particular vampire would be smart, and could kill any of them in an instant. As the Swordsman Hero stared down the vampire, the Jester had crept to the side. He mumbled under his breath, and the ground in front of him began to shake and carve away. Small skeletons crept out of the ground, clawing their way into the open sky once more from the depths in which they slumbered. The Woman had gone the opposite way, and was across from the Jester. She drew an arrow and wrapped a small, grimy cloth around it that she had pulled from a pouch on her hip. Whispering into the tip of the arrow, sparks danced from her fingertips and lit the arrow ablaze. She knocked the arrow and prepared to fire. At once, the three Heroes assaulted the Vampire. The Swordsman Hero rushed forward, his blades flashing in front of the creature as it jumped back to avoid the deadly attack. As it landed a number of small, bony limbs wrapped themselves around its legs, holding it in place. It glanced down to see what had happened, and that was its mistake. A flaming arrow found its way into the vampire's side, piercing into its pale grey flesh. The feral vampire let out a screech, and tore itself away from the small skeletons holding it in place. As it did, the Swordsman Hero had lunged again, and made a deep cut into the creature's stomach. Blood poured out of the wound, and it hunched over slightly. The Heroes crept in closer. Using the knife in the man's hand to hold him down, the Swordsman Hero grabbed the man's hair and pulled his head back. Swiftly, the Jester sliced into his throat and ended the threat. The other strangers sitting at the table lurched back, unable to react in time. The Heroes acted quickly. With the strangers still sitting down, the Heroes jumped up and flipped the table. It came crashing down on top of the individuals, pinning them underneath. The Woman grabbed the Swordsman Hero's knife from under the table and flung it across the room into the forehead of an approaching attacker. The Jester grinned and breathed a ball of fire around the room. The remaining enemies backed off, figuring out how to proceed. This was their mistake, as the Heroes dashed through the flames and continued their assault. The Swordsman Hero kicked one in the head, snapping his neck immediately. The Woman picked up a dropped sword from under the table, and finished off the enemies pinned underneath. The Jester pulled a sword out of seemingly nowhere, and lunged at the nearest enemy. The heroes regroup at the local inn; settling in for the night to consider their next move. They lay their equipment out across the floor of their rented room, and began to clean them thoroughly. They would need to figure out a way to determine how many of the townsfolk had been converted to vampires, and then what they would do once acquiring the information. The Jester looked upset, as he hadn't been able to participate in the fighting. He would surely have an opportunity to soon. The Swordsman Hero wiped down his blades, and prepared to sharpen them back to perfection. The Woman checked her bowstring, and swapped out the used arrows for new ones. Once they were satisfied with their work they headed to bed, ready to begin anew in the morning.
