She is also a Certified Pet Homeopathic Educator with over 30 years of experience using homeopathy to heal. She is certified in the practice of Green Medicine and a pet radio host with over 250,000 on-demand listeners“Nature itself is the best physician.” HippocratesWhat Hippocrates meant, in part, was that our bodies are powerful healers. The body, at every turn, will attempt to rebalance and heal itself, if we just get out of its way.Are you anxious about your pet's health? Is there a problem you're not getting solved at the vet? Are you afraid what the vet prescribed might be doing more harm than good?If this sounds like you, keep reading. There's a solution that works. When I discovered homeopathy thirty years ago, I was intrigued that these little white pellets could heal a being. Over time, that intrigue grew to awe at the power and elegance of this centuries old healing practice. That great minds like Hippocrates knew the basics of homeopathy's “like cures like” premise worked, or celebrities from John Wayne to Jennifer Aniston used homeopathy to treat ailments came as no surprise, since I had witnessed the ability of homeopathy to cure my own, my daughter's and my dogs' illnesses. Even sports stars like David Beckham, Martina Navratilova and Nancy Lopez have credited homeopathy with keeping them at the top of their game.Homeopathy can heal everything from skin allergies and sprains to cancer, if the remedy is chosen correctly and the body has enough life force to trigger a healing. What could be better than helping your dog or cat heal itself naturally, safely and completely, avoiding the long-lasting side effects and high cost of pharmaceuticals? We love these beautiful creatures who make our lives so much better. Loving them in a deeper way means doing no harm and knowing enough to be an active driver of their health plan. That is exactly what my mission is; to teach pet parents a new way to look at health and disease and have the tools to promote vibrant good health and a longer life with their pets.Tune into the Furbabies Podcast YouTube Channel at http://FurbabiesPodcast.tv.Got a question or suggestion for Stephanie and the show? I recently got back from a trip to Italy where I got the virus that we can't talk about. In today's episode, we're chatting about the dogs in Italy, and two other topics to help you and your pets: mushrooms and HPP foods. Mushrooms are all the rage right now in the pet parent community, and for good reason. Different varieties of mushrooms help with different ailments, but many of them have properties that can help everyone on a cellular level. Is the food you're feeding your dog (or cat) really raw? A process by many names, though the most common is HPP, or high-pressure pasteurization may be used by your dog food company and there are some risks that you definitely want to know about. Is your food being HPP'd?Find out more in today's episode!
Our cats can be very sneaky at hiding when they don't feel well, but there are some symptoms that they can't hide and many of them are signs of IBD, or irritable bowel disease. We are seeing more and more cats diagnosed with this cluster of symptoms they call IBD and for many, it can be devastating. Symptoms like weight loss, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, lethargy, and abdominal pain can all be signs of IBD. I've personally dealt with IBD in multiple cats, so I know how devastating it can be. Fortunately, Jae and Adrienne, The Two Crazy Cat Ladies, have some tips for preventive care and for what to do when your fur baby isn't feeling well and gets a diagnosis of IBD. And make sure you stay to the end because I have a surprise for Jae and Adrienne that you don't want to miss!Check out The Two Crazy Cat Ladies and their line of Feline Essentials here: https://twocrazycatladies.com/ref/jessicafisher525/ Support the show
It's ironic that we have so much information at our fingertips, yet, we are as confused as ever. What's the best food to feed my dog? What kind of cat litter is best? Should I give my pet this drug, or is there something better, or a natural alternative? It can be so confusing to be a pet parent today, so I wanted to take this opportunity for a solo episode where I dive into becoming a more confident pet parent in the face of the confusing world of social media and science ideology we live in today. I hope this episode resonates with you, and if so, please take a moment to share it with someone else you know who may be struggling. Chances are, you've been to the vet a few times with your dog or cat. You may have noticed that lots of different ailments such as diarrhea, ear infections, itchy skin, etc., seem to get similar treatments.Antibiotics, maybe antinausea, pain meds, and sometimes steroids. Immune suppressors are also often given for chronic itchy skin. There is a crisis in veterinary medicine in the United States. Opioids and antibiotics are heavily overprescribed. Some prescriptions have been proven ineffective and are still prescribed. If you've ever been given a drug for your pet " just in case" or given a drug and found yourself going back saying that it's not working, you're not alone.Angela Ardolino joins me today to discuss a topic so important that every pet parent needs to hear. Humans and canines have peacefully coexisted and co-evolved for more than 30,000 years: a relationship that rivals our history with tools, fire making and organized settlements. Some believe humans helped dogs evolve into the fluffy companions of today while others argue that dogs are the ones responsible for modern human civilizations. Whatever the case may be, the human-canine relationship is factually primal and deeply ingrained in our cultures, instincts and DNA. But recently, something has changed in the way we treat our canine friends. That *something* also extends to our behavior towards nature, agriculture, our children, our communities and even ourselves. As a whole, humans have less time, experience more stress, create less quality and waste more quantity. We make so much noise that we can't even hear ourselves think. We need so many things that we run out of space to consider what those around us might be needing and feeling. Sasha Armstrong, my wonderful guest today, has a very compelling message for dog-lovers, leaders, parents and healers alike.
