Hey, Heal Squad! We're back with Part 2 of our conversation with Anthony DiSalvo, Maria's personal acupuncturist and California Board-Certified Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, and this one's all about real-life healing tools you can use daily. In this episode, Anthony breaks down how to naturally relieve constipation, allergies, and hormonal imbalances through simple acupressure points, herbal support, and daily habits. He also shares how hot water therapy can transform digestion, what your cravings reveal about your body, and how Chinese medicine helps with fertility, postpartum recovery, and UTIs. Maria and Anthony dive into how consistency and self-discipline are the secret ingredients for healing, and why you don't need to rely only on external treatments to feel better. You'll learn how to reconnect with your body, support your organs, and build harmony from the inside out! HEALERS & HEAL-LINERS: Consistency creates healing. Acupressure isn't a one-time fix, it's a daily dialogue with your body. The more you show up, the faster your system learns to rebalance on its own. Hot water is medicine. Swapping cold drinks for warm or hot water soothes digestion, boosts circulation, and relaxes your body from the inside out. Healing allergies starts with strengthening your organs. Instead of masking symptoms, support your lungs, liver, and spleen so your immune system can finally calm and reset. Your hormones want harmony, not control. Chinese medicine works with your natural cycles to ease PMS, improve fertility, and make transitions like perimenopause smoother. -- HEAL SQUAD SOCIALS IG: https://www.instagram.com/healsquad/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@healsquadxmaria HEAL SQUAD RESOURCES: Heal Squad Website:https://www.healsquad.com/ Heal Squad x Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/HealSquad/membership Maria Menounos Website: https://www.mariamenounos.com My Curated Macy's Page: Shop My Macy's Storefront EMR-Tek Red Light: https://emr-tek.com/discount/Maria30 for 30% off Airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/ Thrive Causemetics: https://thrivecausemetics.com/healsquad Get 20% OFF with this link! Hey, Heal Squad! Have you ever wondered how acupuncture really works, or if those tiny needles (or even just pressure points!) can really heal things like vertigo, anxiety, or chronic pain? This week, Maria sits down with her personal acupuncturist, Anthony DiSalvo, a California Board-Certified Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner to break it all down. Anthony explains all the secrets of what's really happening when you stimulate certain points on the body and why you don't even need needles to start feeling better. (Yep, he walks Maria through real-time acupressure points for vertigo, stress, and even digestion!) PLUS, they dive into the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, how it views energy, emotions, and the body's natural ability to heal, and why modern medicine may be missing the bigger picture. You'll learn why balance is everything, how to move “stuck” energy, and how simple touch and breath can reset your entire system. This conversation will open your mind (and your meridians). Tune in!! HEALERS & HEAL-LINERS: Acupressure can be just as powerful as acupuncture. You don't always need needles to heal, using simple pressure points throughout the day can move stuck energy, ease pain, and calm your nervous system naturally. Your breath directs your body's energy. When you breathe intentionally into areas that feel tense or uncomfortable, you're literally telling your body where to send healing and blood flow Balance is the foundation of true health. Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that prevention is more powerful than treatment, so daily self-care and energy balancing keep your system strong long before illness shows up. -- HEAL SQUAD SOCIALS IG: https://www.instagram.com/healsquad/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@healsquadxmaria HEAL SQUAD RESOURCES: Heal Squad Website:https://www.healsquad.com/ Heal Squad x Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/HealSquad/membership Maria Menounos Website: https://www.mariamenounos.com My Curated Macy's Page: Shop My Macy's Storefront EMR-Tek Red Light: https://emr-tek.com/discount/Maria30 for 30% off Airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/ Thrive Causemetics: https://thrivecausemetics.com/healsquad Get 20% OFF with this link! Even though today's world is a nightmare for our mental health, does modern medicine have the answer? For many patients, the answer is, "no," but there may be another way. For two thousand years, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been effectively treating anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other conditions using herbal medicine and other healing modalities. In her book, Chinese Medicine for the Mind: A Science-Backed Guide to Improving Mental Health with Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nina Cheng, founder of The Eastern Philosophy Chinese Medicine Company, accompanied by a team of renowned practitioners and scholars of Chinese medicine, share practical, accessible remedies and protocols you can use to improve your mental and emotional well-being. Supported by historical primary sources and modern clinical research, Nina's book offers and intro to TCM and its unique approach to mental health. Each chapter covers a common mental health condition–anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD, brain fog, and trauma–exploring how Chinese medicine has historically approached these conditions, describing common patterns associated with unique symptoms, and prescribing specific remedies you can access in your everyday life. For anyone who has struggled with their mental health or is looking to better understand TCM's approach to healing both the mind and body, this book offers natural, time-tested solutions.
Podcast Interview on Natural Allergy Elimination with Paula Vetter Your child may have obvious allergies to certain pollen's or foods, but there are many other unknown possibilities, as well. Natural allergy elimination can desensitize the body from all kinds of issues that are affecting his immune system, his brain, and much more. These compounds are in foods and chemicals found in everyday life. By getting rid of allergies the immune system is freed up to work where it is needed. During a session for natural allergy elimination the practitioner is able to detect which meridians pathways of the body are being affected such as anatomy, physiology, brain, and circulatory systems. Acupressure points are stimulated which opens a gateway to the immune system, and tells it to recognize the product as normal, a correct way to respond. The best protein source is nutrient-dense red meat. 2. Increase CO2Stress affects breathing and can cause you to take in too much oxygen. Increasing carbon dioxide by breathing through your nose may help with stress and also improve sleep, especially if you're stressed out.3. Gallbladder massageTo find the gallbladder, press underneath the right rib cage and massage this area. This can help improve digestion and eliminate right shoulder pain.4. Acupressure for pain reliefThe best acupressure technique for pain involves finding the mirror location of your pain on the opposite side of the body. Instead of applying pressure to the pain, you'll apply pressure to this spot. 5. Fix tight musclesBe sure to stretch the muscle opposite of the muscle that's causing you problems.6. Sea salt under the tongueThis works for weak muscles and can also work for fatigue.7. Neck pain relief for instant relaxationA relaxed neck is vital for good sleep. For neck pain relief, apply pressure at the base of the hairline for instant relaxation. Apply pressure to this spot for about 2 minutes.8. Click here to send me a quick message :) Over the course of the past couple hundred years, we've been progressively losing our intact communities. Instead of extended family and village style lives, most of us in the western industrialized world exist in nuclear family structures. Some of that independence has been welcome; but there is also a tremendous loss of community care and support. There is perhaps nowhere this loss is more palpable than in the childbearing years. Which is what Shakila Marando has felt compelled to address with her doula care collective, Doulas by the Bay.She started with a personal practice as a doula but the demand for her services surpassed her capacity, so she began expanding, and over time has now built up her community care model to 60 doulas and counting. And they're expanding from the San Francisco Bay Area down to Southern California now, always recruiting new doulas and offering more education and support for families in those communities. I also loved hearing about her passion for perinatal mood support, and the role doulas can play in the rollercoaster of emotions that shows up postpartum.Listen to learn:Shakila's personal journey from becoming a new mother to becoming a doulathe origin story of Doulas by the Baya little on how this kind of doula community care model works what a doula is and is nothow doulas can play a role in perinatal mood supportwhat to consider when choosing a doulaResources:Today's shownotes: Get Shakila's links!Episode 25: Immediate postpartum care the herbal way w Liz PhilbrickEpisode 85: Acupressure for childbearing years with Sarah TewheyEpisode 136: The Herbal Doula with Marie WhiteEpisode 166: Your postpartum body w Courtney Naliboff + Dr Ruth MacyIf you loved this episode, share it with a friend, or take a screenshot and share on social media and tag me @herbalwombwisdomAnd if you love this podcast, leave a rating & write a review! Press this point and hold exactly for 60 seconds, and see what happens next. There are a few important pressure points on your body that can heal your body and mind. What do you do when you have a headache, rub your temples? A lot of us instinctively do this, but most people are unaware of the tons of points on the body that they can press to help cure a whole slew of health problems, not just headache. Keep on watching because Bright Side is bringing you a huge list of pressure points that work utter magic on the body! TIMESTAMPS The Third Eye (or Yintang) 0:55 The Drilling Bamboo 2:23 The Welcome Fragrance 3:33 The Heavenly Appearance 4:40 The Heavenly Pillar 5:16 The Wind Mansion 6:16 The Temple Region 7:19 Release tension in your muscles 9:30 Improve blood circulation 9:42 Increase your life force energy 10:04 Get rid of pain 10:21 Tone your facial muscles 10:39 Strengthen the reproductive system 10:58 Heal emotional trauma and pain 11:18 SUMMARY this is all thanks to something you've probably heard of called acupressure. It's been used to heal different ailments since ancient times, and it appeared in Asia over 5,000 years ago! The basis of this practice is a belief that the human body is made up of "chi" energy, and this energy flows freely through the body along invisible channels called "meridians". If the meridians get blocked, an illness appears in the place of the blockage. Acupressure can help unblock these sort of "traffic jams" in your body and make it work even better than before. Your wife's cousin's boyfriend is catfishing you with his ex's photos. Plot twist: you know it's him and...kinda like it! Welcome to Feedback Friday! And in case you didn't already know it, Jordan Harbinger (@JordanHarbinger) and Gabriel Mizrahi (@GabeMizrahi) banter and take your comments and questions for Feedback Friday right here every week! Now let's dive in! On This Week's Feedback Friday, We Discuss: You discovered you're being catfished by your wife's cousin's boyfriend using his ex-girlfriend's photos. The twist? You've actually found him attractive at family events, and now you're enjoying this strange flirtation, knowing it's really him. How deeply do you sip this intoxicating blend of deception and desire? Your Lithuanian name creates challenges in professional settings — from constant pronunciation explanations to misgendering in emails. As you build your personal brand, you're wrestling with whether to adopt a more "local" name while still honoring your heritage. What's the right balance to strike here? Your son, a newly commissioned military officer, is struggling with stress and performance issues. While cleaning his room, you discovered ED medication, and now you're caught between parental concern and respecting his privacy. How involved should you be in this delicate matter? Your girlfriend's teenage brother was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder and believes their father's lies about maternal abuse. The family's pain is becoming unbearable to watch — but is it your place to intervene? Recommendation of the Week: Accupressure mat You've saved money for both your children's college education, but one is attending an expensive school while the other chose a more affordable option. You're grappling with fairness — should the funds be split equally, or should each child's full education be covered regardless of cost? Philly x In this episode of The Wellness Way, Philly sits down with Rob K., an extraordinary healer with deep knowledge of medicinal plants and natural medicine. Rob shares powerful insights into the therapeutic benefits of cannabis, its impact on chronic symptoms, and why it's most beneficial when ingested or applied topically rather than smoked. Rob's journey began at age 15, when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Watching her battle through mastectomies, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments, he sought alternative approaches that offered true healing rather than harmful side effects. This quest led him to explore cannabis as a potent, natural remedy for cancer and beyond—a “vilified medicine” that could transform health and wellbeing. Rob believes that if more people understood the benefits of cannabis medicine, 80% of today's common symptoms could be alleviated. Through his platform, DoALittle Healthcare, Rob offers holistic healthcare coaching and a range of natural therapies designed to boost health and vitality. DoALittle Healthcare provides: • Holistic health care coaching • Detox and cleansing protocols • Acupressure and Swedish massage • Neuroscience-based mindfulness, meditation, relaxation training, and NLP • Herbal remedies and “The Marvelous Molecules” • Healthcare talks and workshops at venues of your choice Tune in as he and Philly discuss the empowering potential of natural medicine to improve lives, one person at a time. This was another amazing collaboration with Brian Larson,.he helped create this amazing experience. Chi, also known as qi or ki, is a fundamental concept in Eastern philosophy and medicine, particularly in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Japanese Reiki, and Korean Sasang. It is believed to be the vital life force energy that flows through all living beings and the universe itself. In Eastern thought, chi is considered essential for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. It is believed to circulate through the body along pathways called meridians, nourishing organs and tissues. When chi flows freely and is balanced, a person is thought to be healthy and vibrant. However, blockages, imbalances, or depletion of chi can lead to various health issues, both physical and psychological. Cultivating chi offers a wide array of benefits that can profoundly impact an individual's overall well-being. One of the most significant advantages is improved health, as harmonizing and balancing the flow of chi in the body is believed to optimize the functioning of organs and systems, bolster the immune system, and promote faster healing. This enhanced vitality is often experienced as increased energy levels, stamina, and resilience in the face of stress or illness. Cultivating chi can also lead to greater mental clarity and emotional equilibrium. As chi circulates freely throughout the body and mind, it can help dissolve mental blockages, reduce anxiety and depression, and promote a sense of inner peace and tranquility. This clarity of mind enables you to navigate life's challenges with greater ease, making better decisions, and maintain a more positive outlook. Moreover, working with chi is often seen as a pathway to spiritual growth and self-realization. As one becomes more attuned to the subtle energies within and around them, they may experience a deepening connection to the universal life force, leading to a greater sense of purpose, meaning, and interconnectedness with all beings.
