But he eventually got his chance at Arkansas, and he's taken full advantage. A guy who can throw five or six different pitches any given night, Hollan has become a weapon for pitching coach Matt Hobbs. Hollan is 8-2 across 14 starts for the Razorbacks, including a stand-out complete-game performance in a big win over South Carolina. Zástupci adiktologických služeb vyzvali národní protidrogovou koordinátorku Jarmilu Vedralovou k rezignaci. Ředitel Asociace nestátních organizací [A.N.O.] Matěj Hollan v podcastu ZdraveZpravy.cz říká i proč. Celé věci pak dle ředitele A.N.O.

This week it is all about food and Hollan Hamid joins us to talk about Food As Medicine: Why A Whole Food Plant-Based Diet May Be The Answer To Your Health Problems.  Hollan Hamid is a big advocate of whole plant based foods as a way to prevent and treat health problems.    Here are three reasons why you should listen to the full episode:  You will identify how unhealthy eating habits can affect your overall health. You will learn simple plant-based everyday recipes that can be used as an alternative to regular recipes.  Hear Hollan give practical steps and tips on how someone can change to a plant based/ whole food diet.  Episode Highlights Eating Habits Affect Your Health  Hollan reflects on how a lack of proper boundaries as it relates to food and her eating habits as a young girl affected her health and triggered auto-immune disorders.  Hollan mentions how it impeded her life as a child as she had to stop from school at times due to illness and severe menstruation I'll effects that later turned out to be endometriosis.  Hollan also explores how after undergoing surgery and developing Kidney stones, she decided to take charge of her health.  A Vegan Diet Improves Quality of Life  Hollan gives a breakdown of what kind of changes she experienced when she switched to a vegan diet.  She makes mention of  her improved  energy levels  and how much healthier she was as a person and even how much happier she was, as she lost weight and began to see improvements in her life.  After the Self-Work Comes the Network   Hollan took the time to educate herself on having a  vegan diet and made it her mission to teach others about it and its many benefits. She used her new found knowledge and background in foods to create recipes and mentions how she gained her love of food and love of health.  After understanding more about herself and her health, she realised that everybody is different and she set out to help others start their own health evolution.  Own Your Health  Hollan challenges us to answer the question, “Am I willing to break up with my current beliefs?” She reminds us how generational patterns affect our eating habits and many of the diseases that we are faced with or impacted by has a lot to do with family decisions as a collective and as an individual. She mentions putting a stop to certain generational habits and how that changes the outcome of her own children by making the changes in herself first.  A certain level of introspection is required to make changes in one's diet in order for a person to own their health.  Holland teaches practical ways of owning one's health and how humans should see themselves as evolving beings. She provides ways  in which one can find alternatives to to lead a more whole food based diet and get the best of it and the importance of listening to your own body to stay in tune to what works and what doesn't.  Hollan explains that while she is not opposed to doctors and western medicine she believes that healing can come through just having a better/ healthier diet.  Tips to Make the Switch  Understand your WHY for wanting to do this Educate yourself  Take baby steps Focus on Nutrient-rich whole foods  Search and learn about Vegan restaurants and recipes  Drink more water  Eat more organic  Be easy on yourself  5 Powerful Quotes from This Episode “I started thinking about food as energy and nourishment as opposed to something that just tasted yummy and made me feel not hungry.”

Hollan Hawaii is a cordon bleu trained chef, health advocate, former restaurant owner, and mom of three. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Hollan studied at Le Cordon Bleu before settling in Kauai, Hawaii where she ran the vegan restaurant Caffe Coco until the end of 2017. Today, Hollan writes on all things health and wellness. She recently published the vegan cookbook Good Food Gratitude.   The journey toward the vegan lifestyle and stellar health overall wasn’t an easy trek for Hollan. Over a decade ago, just shy of her 30th birthday, she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and was warned that she had a 60% chance of developing type 2 diabetes within the next several years. Holland was also overweight and struggled with endometriosis and kidney stones. Determined to reclaim agency over her young life, Hollan changed her diet, lasting a whole day as a vegetarian before committing wholeheartedly to veganism. The results were immediate.   "What I started to realize really quickly was that you can control your health—or at least your body’s health—through food. I literally felt like I could turn disease on and off with what I was eating."   One of Hollan’s biggest revelations is that you can “turn disease on and off” depending on what you eat. After going vegan and discovering that her body functions best by adapting to different “seasons of nutrition”, Hollan felt liberated knowing that she was in control of both her physical and mental wellbeing.   While she is an advocate for the transformational benefits of the vegan lifestyle, Holland encourages everyone to find the nutrition protocol that works for them. Our bodies don’t need a lot. We just need to give it a little change so our brain can catch up and have some of those ah-hahs.   Follow Hollan @hollanhawaii Follow Chase @chase_chewning     Key Highlights After going vegan, Hollan realized that she could “turn disease on and off” through her food choices. She explains exactly how she made these choices and how they affected both her physical and mental health. Hollan explains the benefits of listening to your body and adapting to its different “seasons of nutrition”. A support community and mentorship are foundational to staying on a healthy path. Watch for these telltale signs that the body is responding well—or not—to plant-based foods. Every single one of us has some story that we’re a victim to. For some of us, we believe that we lack financial status so we live in fear of the future. For others, we believe that we’re incapable of being loved therefore we struggle with relationships. Regardless of what story you keep telling yourself, you can change the course of your life. Once you take full responsibility and ownership over your past, only then are you able to change the story you’re telling yourself. This week, I am talking with Brooks Hollan, Experienced Entrepreneur, and Investor, about what it means to do the heavy, internal work in order to live a life you are proud of.  Brooks has created two multiple 7-figure businesses working 'Behind the Scenes'.  Now he runs a coaching program called "Into The Light" where he helps people come out of hiding, step into their gifts, and share them with the world!  His style of performance coaching grew out of helping other entrepreneurs and business owners overcome the things that were keeping them stuck in business, and in life.   Brooks graduated from the United States Naval Academy and was a 2000 Olympic Trials qualifier in swimming. He lives in San Diego, California with his wife Natalie Jill, step-daughter Penelope, and Goldendoodle Flops!     Join us this week as we discuss how to shift our mindset on the things that we can control in order to change the story of our life. Brooks shares with us the life lessons that he has learned over the years and how he has overcome his victim mindset.  Topics Discussed: Finding purpose and healing through the pain and suffering Overcoming the victim mindset (and how to break through past hurt)  Learning how to focus on your internal well-being  How society creates fear that inhibits real internal work  Why life experiences create a strong level of awareness Interrupting toxic thought patterns to find the things that fully serve you Learn More About Heart Centered Hustlers:https://www.heartcenteredhustlers.com  Connect with Brooks Hollan Email: brooks@service2purpose.com  Website: https://www.service2purpose.com  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/life_of_brooksie/

Food, and the love for it, can be a double-edged sword. That’s one of the things that Hollan Hamid shares in this episode and her book, Good Food Gratitude Cookbook. Hollan’s perspective is that creating healthy food does not need to be difficult or complicated. She incorporated that mindset when she created her recipes. Getting into the vegan lifestyle was a no-brainer for her. It’s something that’s usually misunderstood because of all the bad stigma that gets attached to it. Hollan explains that most of the disease we are feeling is connected to the food we eat. She encourages people to consider eating clean, eating vegan to achieve a healthier and more fulfilled life. Deep down, you KNOW you have greatness inside. You KNOW you are destined for big things. BUT one or a couple of these things keep showing up... You don't know 'how' to unleash it. In your head you know what you want... But you keep self sabotaging and giving in to that 'voice' in your head. You keep researching and learning. Yet taking the action is STILL uncomfortable...So you go back to "learn more" to make the discomfort go away. More books... More podcasts... More courses... More events... More masterminds... More of whatever it is that distracts you and keeps you from taking action. But at this point, you 'know' a TON... But there is STILL this invisible force that keeps you from acting on it. You call it perfectionism, and when you get it 'perfect', THEN you will be ready! It has been years now, and still no action in sight. When not seeking 'knowledge' to 'know enough' to get started... There are other ways you self sabotage. Do you binge watch Netflix? Will you get started AFTER you watch this series or season? Or will you look for that popular series as soon as this one ends? Maybe you are like me... And you have the uncanny ability to do everything BUT what you know you need to do. It could be dusting the shelves in the garage. Organizing things from closets to email folders. It could be ANYTHING you use to repeatedly keep you from taking action. Do you feel me? I get it. I LIVED in that place for well over 25+ years. But wait, maybe you DO take massive action! Maybe you are a 'GET SH!T DONE' machine! Maybe you hit every business goal you set! Maybe you MASTER your 'to-do list' every day! For the most part, you are SUCCESSFUL!! You have the accolades, the awards, and the financial evidence of success! BUT... Deep inside, you are beginning to realize something is missing. You are feeling the burn-out as you can't 'DO' any more. You can't shut your head off. You can't be present. You can't take time for YOU. Your relationships have lost that luster, if you still have one at all. You can't take a vacation and truly ENJOY it. A vacation had become just a different place to 'do work'. You go back to doing 'more', yet now...it isn't working anymore. This person above wasn't me.... BUT...it was what I attracted in relationships. I couldn't take action, so I was attracted to those that could...and did. No matter which side of this you are on...there is a path to unleashing your TRUE greatness AND... Living a fulfilled life where you are at peace with yourself. The thing is, the answer isn't in a book, or a podcast. It is already INSIDE you... You just need the right guide to help you get there. My strength is in listening, connecting, and seeing your greatness... And compressing time by guiding you there quickly. My process is simple, but not easy. Yet it is still easier than living with THAT feeling you are experiencing now. You will only choose my path when you are FED UP with where you are in life. When you are TRULY ready, you will know it in your soul. You will get the freedom, peace, joy, and fulfillment that have been evading you for years. www.service2purpose.com

He is always developing and shipping solutions on the latest and greatest tech, and is passionate about speaking at conferences around the world — he truly lives and breathes all things serverless!  Jeff will be sharing tons of information about Azure Functions and the landscape of serverless on this episode! He shares how to start with going serverless and navigating the many different ways to do it, and gives his recommendations on where to get started with Azure Functions if you’ve never written a function before. Jeffrey and Jeff also trace through the DevOps lifecycle for a function — really digging as to not miss any important details!    Topics of Discussion: [:40] Be sure to visit AzureDevOps.Show for past episodes and show notes! [:48] Jeffrey gives a few quick announcements. [:55] About today’s guest, Jeff Hollan. [1:13] Jeffrey welcomes Jeff to the show! [1:31] Jeff shares his career journey up to this point in time. [3:22] Jeff speaks about what is new in serverless as well as the options that people should be paying attention to these days! [4:55] Without Visual Studio, can a function just be PowerShell? [6:25] With there being so many different ways now to do serverless, how do you even choose? [9:17] Can you write some code as an Azure function but then install it as a regular Windows service inside of an on-premise VM? [11:06] When would Jeff say not to use Azure Functions and would alternatively recommend something else? [13:58] What is the deployable package format that is best for deployability to an Azure function resource in Azure? [18:30] A word from the Azure DevOps Podcast’s sponsor: Clear Measure. [19:00] Jeffrey gives some more announcements and lets you know where to get a hold of his book, .NET DevOps for Azure. [20:50] Jeff shares the recommended way of creating Azure resources for the environments. [23:26] In Jeff’s opinion, is it a better pattern to deploy the command lines for tweaks and modifications to your Azure functions’ resource at the same time you deploy the application changes? Or, is it better to have a separate pipeline? [25:11] Does the slot concept work the same way as Azure Websites or are there any differences? [28:00] For those who haven’t used slots before, Jeffrey asks Jeff: ‘If someone has a production environment, a UAT environment, and two other environments, are they creating one Azure function with 8 slots or do they need a separate Azure function per environment? Is there a general rule of thumb? [30:55] Jeff speaks about when and why functions can go cold. [32:25] With Azure Functions, what are the configurations to choose to just play around with it for as-close-to-free as possible? [34:05] Jeff speaks about what’s coming down the pipeline that people should be keeping an eye out for! [35:34] If you’ve never written a function, Jeff recommends some go-to resources to get started with!   Mentioned in this Episode: Azure DevOps Clear Measure (Sponsor) Microsoft Ignite 2019 Party with Palermo - Microsoft Ignite Conference 2019 (Eventbrite) Special pre-release offer that expires Nov. 2nd: email Jeffrey at Jeffrey@Clear-Measure.com and tell him who his very first guest on the podcast was then he’ll send you a free e-book copy! .NET DevOps for Azure: A Developer's Guide to DevOps Architecture the Right Way, by Jeffrey Palermo — Pre-order on Amazon here! bit.ly/dotnetdevopsebook — Click here to download the .NET DevOps for Azure ebook! bit.ly/dotnetdevopsbookforcommunity — Visit to get your hands on two free books to give away at conferences or events! In this PKX episode, I sit down with trained chef, restauranteur, caterer, author, wife and mother of 3, Hollan Hamid. Hollan's love inspired, plant-based cuisine has been a staple at her restaurant and high end catering in Kauai, Hawaii and has been featured in GQ, Condé Nast, and Insider. She is also a regular contributor to HGTV, VEG News and Hawaii Magazine. Hollan's story really began at age 29, when she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and the doctor warned her that she had a 60% chance of developing diabetes 2 within the next decade. She also struggled with endometriosis and kidney stones, with 2 surgeries to attempt to stop them. But they always returned. So, she decided to take her health into her own hands. Eventually, she found her way to a vegan diet and lifestyle and now her blood work looks better at 41 then it did at 29. During this time, she started and successfully sold one of the top Vegan restaurants in Kauai which included regular visits from many of the island's famous residents. But, even more important than the accolades she's received, Hollan discovered that the choice to love herself enough to make healthier choices in the first place - and then to share what she's learned with others - is her ultimate passion. She lives to breathe life and love into those she serves, whether it's on a plate or in their heart. Her new cookbook, Good Food Gratitude, comes out soon.

Today’s guest grew up in Mariposa, California and has viewed the world from different lenses as a youth through the 4-H Youth Program. Marcus Hollan attributes his distinctiveness and success to his involvement in such programs when he was younger which allowed him to embrace the diversity of others and understand the importance of inclusion in a community. Marcus is one of the founders of the Cultivating Change Foundation, an organization that elevates and values the LGBTQ community within the agriculture industry. In today’s episode, Marcus talks about the roles that diversity, inclusion, equality, and equity play in the workplace - especially in agriculture. As the chief learning officer of Studio 5, Marcus also shares the organization’s goals, the business case for promoting agriculture, and how the corporate equality index has become a significant tool to know more about how open a company is to embracing racial, cultural, religious, and gender orientation differences.   “There is also power in recognizing our differences; in celebrating and honoring who we are.”  – Marcus Hollan   This Week on The Future of Agriculture Podcast: Defining diversity, inclusion, equality, and equity What people want - equality versus equity Why you should ask purposeful and intentional questions What inspired Marcus to launch Cultivating Change Foundation The goals of the foundation Challenges Marcus faced in starting Cultivating Change Defining the corporate equality index and its function   Join us at the 2017 Cultivating Change Summit! Azure with no servers? Carl and Richard talk to Jeff Hollan about Azure's Serverless offerings. The idea is to stop worrying about virtual machines and operating systems and focus on the stuff you really need. Jeff talks about Logic Apps, which provide workflow and connectors between your code and a ton of other services, some coming from Azure and many coming from other service providers. Credentials for the services are kept in the Azure Key Vault rather than your code (or in the heads of your users), and there's some great instrumentation to understand what's going on. In todays episode we have Nickademus Hollan. Nick is known for crushing ultra marathons and is always someone to look out for at Worlds Toughest Mudder. We start the episode talking about a race that I am super interested in, which is the Barkley Marathons. You may have seen the documentary on Netflix, if you did Nick was the guy with the long hair who didn't win that year. He did go on to win the following year however. Nick is also a multi time Worlds Toughest Mudder competitor. We talk about how he went out too hard and ended up dropping out after 65 miles this year, though he was a favorite to win. Look for a future episode with Nick where we take your running related questions and answer them on the show. The details aren't final yet, but I am excited about this one! This episode is sponsored by MudGear You can get your Overcome and Run race jersey made by MudGear in our Gear Shop.
