The Kings county prosecutor in the central valley charged her with “murder of a human fetus”, alleging she had acted with “malice” because she had been struggling with drug addiction and the hospital reported meth in her system. Becker's attorneys argued there was no evidence that substance use caused the stillbirth and California law did not allow for this type of prosecution in the first place. Still, she spent 16 months in jail awaiting trial before a judge dismissed the charges. Becker was prosecuted by the Kings county district attorney, Keith Fagundes, the only prosecutor in California who has filed charges for a stillbirth in the last three decades. The Amy Coney Barrett Hearings took place this week and it was for the most part exactly how you would expect it. Both sides put on a show, Democrats knocked trump the whole time and Republicans pretended to stand on the moral high ground for a few days straight. All in all, it was great to see each senators audition tape for America's Next Top Leader. A bombshell news story broke on Wednesday that detailed new information in the Hunter Biden Ukraine Scandal. Social Media companies like twitter and facebook decided to take things into their own hands by censoring the story and wiping it clear from their platforms. We at Two Tangents stand firmly against this sort of censorship unless they want to take down those videos that Christina posted of us in 8th grade. We are almost two weeks from election day and the rules are still not agreed upon.
