This guy has not lost a defense or prosecution case since 1969!!!!! I filed a complaint with the Arizona bar association against these prosecutors at the Pima County attorney's office! SHAME ON THEM JUST TRYING TO RUIN OUR LIVES WITH THIS B******* THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROBABLE CAUSE! I keep asking the district attorney -- Hey Laura when is the con going to be over????? And- I CAN'T BELIEVE I VOTED FOR YOU HOW CAN I TAKE MY VOTE BACK???! Good stuff man!! Filing what's called 42 USC subsection 1983, two of them! IF YOU TOO ARE VICTIM OF POLICE BRUTALITY THIS IS A WAY TO SUE THEM! They're so terrified of these filings they are doing everything they can to lock me up and shut me up and shut me down!!!! SO PLEASE SHARE MY S*** AND ASK YOUR LOCAL MEDIA OUTLET TO COVER THIS CASE BECAUSE IT'S NOT MY CASE IT'S OUR CASE!! THIS MOFOS TRAMPLED ON ALL OF OUR CIVIL RIGHTS AND CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AND IT'S TIME THEY WERE TAUGHT A LESSON! IT'S TIME TO HOLD DIRTY COPS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS. I RUSHED TO FILE before the Pima County attorney's office locks me up in retaliation! They are filing what's called a rule 11 to try to have me committed up to 4 years!!! In the State penitentiary psychiatric ward-- like One flew over the cuckoo's nest yeah that that's what they want to do to shut me up silence me and stop me talking about excessive force and corruption in local law enforcement. Pima County attorney's office should drop all charges against us; they are protecting criminals with badges, and are being charged with malicious prosecution by charging us with crimes solely out of malice and without probable cause! Fifth Amendment violation right to due process and charges must be dismissed! Introduced false evidence and evidence tampering are also violations of our right to due process. They conspired to kidnap me and then attempted to conceal their conspiracy to retaliate out of malice; violating My First Amendment right to free speech and petition the government about redressing my grievances. Then the Pima County attorney's office terrorized us some more! Threatening to rule 11 me, put me in psychiatric State penitentiary for up to 4 years! Vindictive prosecution occurs when prosecutor is pursuing charges against a criminal defendant out of spite, retaliation or desire to punish them for asserting their rights, and that's exactly what #PCAO is doing to me and us! Four types of ethical violations in malicious prosecution: failure to disclose exculpatory evidence; introducing false evidence; using improper arguments & discriminating in injury selection, they have done the first three out of four! If you are being persecuted by your prosecutor, claim against them! Intake department for Arizona bar association complaint filing 602-340-7280 Good stuff man!! Filing what's called 42 USC subsection 1983, two of them! IF YOU TOO ARE VICTIM OF POLICE BRUTALITY THIS IS A WAY TO SUE THEM! Is the stress associated with being busy harming our health? If so, why are so many people stressed out by doing less during the pandemic? Stress is confusing because the concept is built on a questionable foundation. Tobacco companies paid researchers to show that a big rise in heart disease in the mid 20th century was caused by stress. But that was deceptive - the rise was caused by smoking. I talk to biologist Michael Romero of Tufts University, who has helped create a more coherent picture of stress and health by looking at the kinds of stress that do physical harm across species. Scientists trying to understand stress have gone so far as to use dogs on boats to sniff out whale poop, which can be tested for stress hormones. That research has shown, among other things, that noise and pollution are causing chronic stress among whales. “Follow the Science" is produced, written, and hosted by Faye Flam, with funding by the Society for Professional Journalists. This week I spoke with the inspiration for the podcast, my dad, Michael Romero. Growing up, I watched my dad compete and push himself. He shared that with me, often with me only half listening, but the stories of the people he competed against and looked up to stuck with me. I always came back to these stories when listening to other running podcasters interview all of these amazing people, but few if any that had ties to New Mexico.During his competitive years, my dad ran several marathons, including the 100th running of the Boston Marathon. He would push himself to try other runs, like Rim to Rim at the Grand Canyon. We talk about some of those runs, but also his early running years, the people he met through running, his knee injury that took him into biking, and back to running. We also touch on his break from running after losing his parents and why it was hard to get out during that time. We touched on a few things that honestly, I've never discussed with him before. It was an insightful conversation and I learned things that I would otherwise not have known. So I hope you enjoy the conversation and thank you for tuning in a year of episodes and stories.Things appear to be looking up, but let's stay vigilant, be kind, and as always, keep running, New Mexico.
"Use of Force" is a sub-series of the podcast where we highlight one instance of NYPD use of lethal force over the past decade along the route we're walking for the week. The name refers to the Use of Force reports the NYPD generates each year where descriptions of these events are compiled. This week we discuss the 2010 death of Michael Romero, 32. Police were searching for a suspect with a pellet gun when they stopped Romero to ask for ID. Romero attempted to shoot one officer with a revolver, prompting the second officer to shoot him. As species rapidly adapt to altered landscapes and a warming climate, scientists and stakeholders need new techniques to monitor ecological responses and plan future conservation efforts. Writing in BioScience, Drs. Stephen McCormick of the US Geological Survey and Michael Romero of Tufts University describe the emerging field of conservation endocrinology and its growing role in addressing the effects of environmental change. The authors argue that, bolstered by the development of new field-sampling techniques, researchers working in this area are poised to make substantial contributions to the wider field of conservation biology. For this episode of BioScience Talks, Dr. McCormick describes the range of applications spawned by new research involving the endocrine system, which refers to the set of glands that deliver hormones directly to the circulatory system. These new applications span the measurement of birds' altered stress hormones in response to ecotourism to drone-collected blowhole spray from whales, which may contain hormonal clues about the species' broader health. Other applications include the monitoring of human-introduced endocrine disruptors in aquatic systems and various hormonal changes induced by urbanization, hunting, invasive species, habitat disruption, marine noise, and many other potential stressors.
